5 starsRainwater was entering my basement from around a coal chute door. Regular caulking wasn’t working. I contacted Belvidere Construction; their crew just finished at my home. They waterproofed the foundation wall and around the coal chute, and installed a window well close to the house. It’s such a relief that water isn’t coming in, their finished work looks really nice and professional, and my general handyman of many years is very impressed with their work. We contracted Belvidere Construction to install two window wells. After a one year delay due to labor shortage and weather we were happy to learn we were scheduled for late May. The 3 employees (James, Patrick and Denys) completed the work very quickly and kept us advised on every step of the job. One employee went the extra step to remove a plant near the work area and carefully replanted it in a flower bed close by. ****** ********* ********* ************Belvidere Construction (2016) Ltd.

5 starsVery happy with Belvidere Construction. From the advice to the assessment to the actual repair work, found this company's staff to be knowledgeable, honest, and professional. From first contact they recommended that I get an independent survey from an engineer who specializes in foundation repairs; I contacted Belvidere again to discuss repair options after I had the survey done. Due to house leaning excessively, I chose to pay extra to have it leveled. They were specific in the contract that could not promise a full leveling; this is due to avoiding any structural damage during the lift. In the end they managed to raise corner of house enough that list is barely noticeable now. Large bow window was especially vulnerable to damage; no issues during or after lift. Two sides of foundation had to be excavated and underpinned to accomplish the lift. Work was done without damaging the house and with little impact on the yard. Working to my engineer's satisfaction, plies were sunk in correct numbers and to correct depth. Waterproofing done has lifetime warranty and is fully transferable. Final cost was same as initial quote. Although I got cheaper quote from a competitor, wasn't happy with other because they were less thorough is assessment, didn't want to do a lift, and didn't even recommend an engineering survey. They stated that only 1 side of foundation needed to be underpinned; I'd rather put my faith in engineer's assessment.Review fromCindy V

Great company to work with! The team was hard working, trust worthy and professional. The company was easy to get ahold of and they always answered my questions. Paid a deposit and signed a contract back in June for basement waterproofing that was quoted at 9k. Received a call last month that they were upping the price by 5k and I could either take my deposit back or pay the additional 5k (total 14k). I took my deposit back. Seems super ********* given the state of the market and that I can't even get someone to come look at my foundation until next year. ******** ********* ***** **** * ******* ** **** ******* ***** ***** ******* * ****** **** **** **** *** * ***** ***** **** *** ********** ************* Just save yourself the money, headache and time and go somewhere else. ******* **** ***** ***** ***** ********* * ****** * ****** *** **** **** ** ***** *** *** ** ******** ** ***** *** ***** ***** **** So we just cut our losses. ***** ***** ******* My basement leaked this spring and now who knows when I'll have it back again.Belvidere Construction (2016) Ltd.
