Our dissatisfaction starts a number of years ago, first with cellular. A promise made on a phone deal which was not honoured. Eventually switched to another provider with much better service. Internet we did not have much for options. First few years service was good. This May, after contacting Bell about a modem/router that was giving spotty signal in our home, they suggested sending us a newer model which I took was offered at no charge of providing we returned the old modem, which we did. Consequently, we were charged a rather large sum for the new router and it took months to acknowledge that they received the old one. Finally, in September , they threatened to cut service in the bill wasn’t paid by Oct 7. A payment was made Oct 1, they cut our service Oct 2! We have returned the new router and let them know we are done. Now with ********.Review from Ross B

We have been a Bell/Aliant customer for years. Moved to a new location and wanted the same internet service fibre op. We were told that we could not have fiber internet as they will not install it in our building, Their service centre is 30 feet away from my apartment and we were tolg that we can only get wireless home internet 25 unlimited. So that is what we have since June 2023. and still being charged 105.00 a month after trying to call and getting the run around to call different numbers again and again.. wireless home internet 25 unlimited is only 70.00 a month . the full price . apparently, they are going to change my bill to 70.00 a moth but I am looking for a refund of 35.00 dollars a month plus taxes for 14 months and was told it was not going to happen. What can I do as I am disabled and have limited funds? Really tired of being overcharged and this is getting very tiring I need help Ross BReview from Joe M

After looking at their website, I see that Bell Aliant offers Promo Internet 1.5 gbps for $90/month thanks to a monthly 25 dollar credit, and after a year it goes to 110/Month. I am an existing customer, and pay $134/month for 1Gbps internet. I called them to point out the speed and cost difference for existing customers. They told me because I am an existing customer, I do not qualify for the existing customer pricing of 110 and if I want 1.5 gbps I have to pay $144!!! They said there are other additional credits for those customers that are not listed and I no longer qualify. Nowhere on the site does it say this. They do not care about existing customers, do not want to foster customer satisfaction or loyalty and do not care if you leave (the rep said "do you want to cancel your service instead"). I would give zero stars, but you have to give one to leave a review. I will be looking for a new service provider.Review from Vincent D

******* customer service, staff has no clue how fix most of their issues. Wait on hold for hours most of the time. Currently sitting on hold for tech support for nearly an hour now and can I hear a woman moaning and talking in the background. They refused to send a technician out to fix the problem and said "it will go away". Obviously it hasn't gone away. Talking to the staff in store is great, I usually deal with them, when I can, but most tech issues require you call their so called "customer service".Review from Bonita T

I gave them one star only because you have to give them something to leave a review. My advice is run run run away from Bell Aliant. They are useless! Hooked up my fibre op tv years ago with occasional glitches but nothing too frustrating. Yesterday my internet was down. Called and got a guy who fixed the internet and also made sure my phone was working OK. Wasn’t until the evening that I noticed my pvr was not working for the tv. I could access everything on the tv except the recorded shows. Called Bell Aliant, in the evening and got not one but two stubborn rude people who flatly stated that since my 4K box that Bell installed was not hooked up to a tv but rather in the garage hooked up to a modem that I would never get use of the PVR. Basically saying I was a liar and that for years we did not get use of the PVR. When asked for a tech to come to my house they flatly refused saying unless I moved the box they installed to another room they would not send a tech out. What kind of amateur lowlifes are they employing at BELL Aliant??!! Get rid of Bell and just stream or better yet get rid of technology altogether and start enjoying life again. What a horrible company.Review from Mia H

I fee I got ripped off by Bell Aliant. During the process of cancelling service with Bell Aliant, my service was cut off a week earlier. I phoned to complain, today. It turns out that Bell Aliant billed extra charged me and deducted extra $144.70 from my account. I phoned to find out what happened and to correct the unfair charge, I got cut off on the phone by the customer service answering person. All this ending for a senior, myself, who is on a very tight budget, leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, I’ll never subscribe to Bell Aliant again. I feel helpless and feel that I have no recourse.Review from Carla S

Purchased a phone from Bell Aliant and it's garbage. It will not work and Bell Aliant totally blew me off. I followed all of their suggestions including contacting ******* with no luck or help at all. Bell had offered to send me a loner phone which would take up to 5 business days which would have left me without a phone. With my health issues I cannot be left without a phone. After I talked to ******* whatever tech support did to my phone made it even worse then just hung up on me. I decided that with the service I received that I switched to ******** but now Bell Aliant wants to charge me for canceling the contract. I'm not having any issues with the phone I received from ********. The phone tgat I purchased from Bell Aliant was a new phone and it was purchased the end of May 2024 but did not work properly. Dropped my calls, reception was awful no one could hear me as the calls were all broken up. Not the service I expected or deservedReview from Daniel A

This company has been exemplary for years for services and cellphone reliance. They still are. But we are facing a bill that is nearly double the price and wanted to downsize to just Internet. Their website states on it that the price for a new signup is $90/mo and regularly $115/mo. We called to ask for this service for their gigabyte fibe internet. When we explained the price we saw (and again on their website with a live chat employee) both my wife and I were all but called the word stupid. Their website has no language in the legal or main pages stating this is for only new sign ups and they have "discounted this new signup to make it look competitive". When both of us had mentioned this we were accused of being incapable of thinking critically, and that the company has no government compulsory regulations to have to "spell it out in plain language to people like us". By 2 seperate employees. When asked to speak to a supervisor we were told they'd say the same and then transfered to loyalty. They offered us nothing because "it is what it is". I don't think asking for the advertised pricing was a lot. I don't think asking a company we've been customers for years with not having our services raised to an unrealistic amount simply so we can pay for new customers is a lot. But most of all, I don't think being spoken to as if we were beneath the hourly employees who don't set the prices is asking a lot. This company need less than 1 star. I play games and I stream videos. I'm honestly going to put up with the lag for someone else because this isn't worth my hard earned money any longer.Review from Elizabeth C
