    Pattern of Complaint:

BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning service and repair issues. Specifically, consumers allege that the company is unable to properly diagnose and repair appliances effectively, there is a lack of follow-up and resolution to issues, and the cost of parts is grossly inflated.

We have also noted the following situation in many of the disputes filed through BBB:

Consumers are advised by the company that a service call will cost $80 however, once the service technician arrives, that amount is increased to approximately $300 to diagnose the issue. The consumer is then told the appliance can be fixed and they are given a repair agreement which outlines the cost of labour. When the document is signed, the work begins and upon further inspection new parts are required and the repair quickly escalates in price. In many cases the repair suggested to the consumer is ineffective and the appliance is still not in working order.

In July 2019, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. BBB has not received a response to date.

In December 2022, BBB staff reviewed the information on file and determined that the pattern of complaints had not been resolved.  BBB continues to receive a high volume of complaints similar in nature.

BBB offers the following tips when choosing an appliance repair company:

Research the company online - Check to see how long the company has been in business and if previous customers have had a positive experience.

Contact the manufacturer - Most appliance manufacturers have authorized service technicians that have received specialized training on their products. You may also wish to confirm there are no recalls on the appliance and that parts are still available.

Confirm the pricing - BBB suggests consumers confirm what is included in service fees. Does it include diagnosis of the issue, and will it be credited back if you decide to go ahead with repairs, etc.?

Ask about warranties - Check to see if the company offers a warranty on the parts or service. Often this will show whether they are confident that the repair will work.

A technician came to repair my dishwasher on June 17 and charged us $320 as a general service fee before even diagnosing the issue and then another $256 for a drain pump. The dishwasher broke down again just two weeks later with the same error code. The company has refused to take any accountability, offer any refund, and hung up on us multiple times when we were trying to get them to honour their 6-month service warranty if a problem persists. Finally, they sent the same technician over to take another look, he then told us it would be another $486 to replace the circulation pump. He signs his name *****, but it looks like his actual name is ****** ***** ***** online. He also told us there would be a 2-year warranty on the drain pump we purchased that he installed but the company is now claiming there is only a 30-day warranty. We were over charged, lied to, *** ******* *** ********** ** ******** *********. They should be investigated.

i ordered a part to repair my coin laundry washer in Oct 2023 and i paid $592.43 for the part. To date it is not in and they advised it is back ordered with no delivery date noted. A refund will not be given unless i accept a refund in the amount of $132.80 for a restocking fee. I will happily take the part as i still have the washer but i do not believe it will ever come and i do not believe i should have to accept a minimal refund as they can not produce the part.

He charged $1050 for service and spare part, and told the part would come in 3-5 days. he returned back after 2 week, installed the part and told that everything is good, but we need to wait 24-48 hours to fridge start cooling. Called to repair washer. Was told it would cost $270 and then when the machine was taken apart the cost suddenly jumped to $740. My husband was told that the technician had the same washer at home and that if we fixed it it would still work for many more years to come so he approved for the job to be completed and paid in full. We were also told if the same error message ever came up again, they would fix it free of charge. Within a couple of hours of the technician leaving, it broke again giving the exact same error message. Technician returned 4 days later and tried to quote another $700. Combined with the first $700 this would be more than the original price of the washer. Escalated to customer service who could not provide the name of a manager. Let them know I would show up at their office tomorrow and I was told there was no office and that the address is only for mailing purposes. I want the washer to finish being fixed for no more than the original price quoted and the money they have already ************ taken from us.

My dishwasher wash not draining so I contacted **************** (###-###-####) and asked if they could send a technician to fix the problem. They said it would be $80 to send someone for a visit, and when they arrived they would diagnose the problem and tell me how much it cost. I said ok. The technician arrived and I let him look at the dishwasher and ask him how much it would be to fix it. He said $260 (not mentioning that there was tax on top of that) and asked me to pay upfront. I said no, I don't want to pay upfront because how will I know that you've fixed the problem? He said ok don't worry about it. He then played around with the dishwasher for a bit, seemingly running some cycles or doing some sort of testing, and then declared to me that everything was fixed and not to worry and that I should pay him. We started a cycle and it seemed to be ok so I paid him, which now had risen to $293.80 with tax. I thought this was necessary because otherwise we would have to wait for the full cycle, which could take 1.5 hours . He then left my house and before he had gotten 10 minutes away, I got the same error code on my dishwasher (E3), indicating that it was still not draining. I called customer service and asked him to come back and fix what he said he had fixed. They said they needed to get a report before anything could be done. The report said that I needed to replace a part that cost $425.75 in order to fix the problem. The man ************* wrote this on the receipt (I did not notice this) but never mentioned any part to me. Now I have a sunk cost of having paid $300 for nothing, and I am in a position where they want me to take their word that if I pay another $425.75 the problem will be fixed. * ***** ***** **** ** *** *** I want my money back. * ***** *** * ***** *** ********** *** *** ***** **** **** *** ****** ** ****** ***

March 29, 2024 Recently, when I started my ***** dishwasher (that until then was working fine), I heard the water running and there was dripping under the sink from the black U-shaped pipe (p-trap). ***** referred me to this repair company. They told me they charge $80 for a visit, but when they came they said that they will fix the problem of leaking for $328. I agreed to pay that amount to fix the leak. They ****** me to send them an e-transfer for $328 immediately; they do not accept credit card payments. However, after my e-transfer, they said they could not fix the problem because they needed to replace a few parts, like cooling, fan motor, blower sensor , etc. for an additional $1,431 (for the total of $1,759). I refused ordering the parts, being suspicious of the large unexpected amount. I requested that they refund me the $328 that I paid, as they did not repair anything. They refused and tried to convince me to order the parts. After they left, I found that the leaking came from the drain line because the squeeze clamp was loose. Once it was tightened, there was no leak and my dishwasher works fine. Unfortunately, I paid them $328 for doing nothing, and they were going to ****** $1,759 from me.
