When i tried to put a claim into there department it was deemed out of there control . Talked to a sunwing rep on and of for 32mins and after many attempts to speak to a manager on duty, they proceeded to tell me that it could not resolved and there was no manager to talk to . * ********** **** ******** ****** ** *** **** ****** ** *** **** **** *** ************ *** **** ****** * Not as much as a food voucher at the airport was given out while the flight again was delayed ( no pilots) . Dear Mr. *******, We are sincerely sorry to read of your upset, we understand how a flight disruption can impact our customers' well-deserved holiday. We see that you have communicated with a team member of our Post Travel Department and receipts for any out-of-pocket expenses have been requested. The cause of any flight disruption is determined by the airline. It is not possible that some passengers on a flight would receive compensation owed under the regulations and not others. Multiple Sunwing flights all travelling back to my province at or around the same day with the same delays **** ******* ************. * **** ******** ****** *** ****** ***** **** ***** ****** *** ********* **** ******* **** ******** ***** . I started calling sunwing the minute we got delay (on a weekend , so there was no rep to help ) to busy phones and voicemails in Spanish . They say weather but yet flights to canada with other airlines were going . Now they are saying i only had 48 hrs to make a complaint , doesnt say nothing to that affect on the claims report . Sunwing to Mexico flight was perfect. Problem was when I was told to meet a Sunwing Rep outside of the airport , could not find any ,found a group with ***** shirts since they were orange I asked was told to stand on this little platform in the heat after about an hour I asked they said when they find a drive. Finally was Put in a van and taken to resort. Was never offered water or anything just left standing there while the reps stood in a different place in the shade chatting. One suitcase was damaged and the other was ruined. Was a day late getting home but I cannot totally blame Sungwing,Sunwing Vacations Inc

** ****** ****** ******* **** ******** Our experience was incredibly disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this airline to anyone. After a major delay, we were given conflicting information by staff, and as a result, we ended up paying out of pocket for accommodations and meals that other passengers received vouchers for. Trying to get help afterward has been a nightmare—emails go unanswered, phone calls drop with no follow-up, and their website is difficult to navigate for claims. ******** ******** ******** ******** nothing positive to say about the company except that staff onboard was friendly and professional. It was my first time using this company for a two weeks all inclusive vacation....well it will be my last time! No accountability as far as flight delays and cancellations. 12 hours at the airport waiting for our flight to depart, a 20$ food voucher for 12 hours!!! No water on the plane to wash our hands....a real ordeal, * ********....and all that because of the weather! Yeah, right!!!! Patience and cooperation! How ironic it is from you! Did the Sunwing have patience and cooperation when we were stuck for 12 hours at the airport, without any food or comfort? Without much of a communication? I was told my file was closed WITHOUT GETTING ANYTHING, NEITHER COMPENSATION, NOR A VOUCHER! I actually asked for reconsideration since "weather" is mentioned as cause; however no detailed statement about that is provided. So I am leaving 5 star because I was actually impressed on how Sunwing handled a unfortunate situation. A few months ago flying back from Montego Bay our flight was delayed almost 10 hours. I don't know the full details but from what I understand there was some documents that were not renewed and Sunwing had to get them renewed for us to take off. At first we were only told a few hours then that turned into a few more hours then 10 hours later we were finally ready to take off. This definitely was an inconvenience. ** **** * ******* ***** ******** ** **** *** ********** *** ******* **** ******** *** *** ******* ** *** **** ** **** *** * ***** **** During our 10-hour stay at the airport Sunwing would give ** **** *** * $20 vouchers each every 3 or 4 hours (can't remember) to get some food and having a ************** ** *** ******* *** ******* **** *** **** **** ******** At the end of the day we made it home safe and because this was a fault of Sunwing they reimbursed us $1250.00 Each towards or next vacation. ( we could have taken $1,000 cash but chose to take the travel vouchers). I believe this situation was handled just fine all considering. See you next year Sunwing!Sunwing Vacations Inc

We enjoyed our vacation in Puerto Plata Dominican Republic, but trying to fly home was a nightmare. We were dropped off by ***** Tours and their check in is basically exposed to the weather. This day was extremely hot and the lineup was insanely long. ********* **** getting heat stroke. My partner was sick from the heat and threw up while we were waiting to pay the $20 USD each. They had a nurse check her out and said she needed water. Ok. We got water once we passed security. My partner was still sick inside, dizzy and nauseous from the heat. The lady at the sunwing counter saw her, took our tickets, and said “No, you are not boarding” and ushered for us to be escorted out, but not before informing us we are to head to the hospital and get a “Safe to fly” clearance from a doctor there. They kept our $20 USD each. And no refund offered or new flight booked. ***** tour guide told me I needed $50 in dominican money and led me to an atm, then put us on a random taxi. We were sent away, and ***** tours stopped replying to help us get home after. So, no hotel. No flight home. And left alone in a foreign country being sent to a hospital. You also need your own phone to call for help. Had to activate cell data. Spent over 24 hrs at the hospital waiting for a dr to say we were ok. They would not let us leave until insurance covered the medical bill. NEVER go anywhere without insurance. ***** *** ******** They abandon you, same with ***** Tours. We ended up paying for a random hotel and flight out of pocket with *** *******. **** ** **** *** **** ***** **** *** *** **** *** *** *** ***** ** **** **** ***** *********** ***** *** ******** They abandon you. ******* I did receive around $100 from Sunwing (as a friendly gesture they said). Our safety was not priority, as we were not even offered water. We were sick because of the heat and standing in line for an absurd length of time to pay $20 USD each (which your airline kept) and then ushered us off to an ATM to pay for a taxi to the hospital (another $50) where we were held until insurance cleared. Nexus tours, your partner there, stopped replying to us asking for help and what to do next. We were not treated “as priority” at all. 2 starsBusiness Name: ********* & Sunwing Vacations Issue Summary: I booked a family vacation through ********* with flights provided by Sunwing Vacations. Despite carefully entering all traveler details, ******** system replaced my grandson’s name with my own, causing a serious issue. ?? Key Points: I booked on a desktop with no autofill, so the mistake wasn’t mine. ******** client statement proves a system glitch: Normally, children are listed as "Male/Female," but my (incorrectly repeated) name still had the "Mr." prefix. Sunwing’s system also failed to flag the incorrect entry, meaning their database accepted this issue. ****** admitted the mistake and waived their fee, but Sunwing refuses and is charging me $50 to fix it. Sunwing has ignored my requests to escalate the issue. Desired Resolution: I request a full waiver of the Sunwing name correction fee since this was a system error, not a customer mistake. This is an unfair practice that places the burden of system failures on customers. Our group of 10 traveled to Jamaica in February 2025. We booked our trip back in April 2024 so we could secure premiere seating and a direct flight that we paid extra for. From start to finish it was a huge disappointment. We departed in Edmonton. Our seats were bumped for ******* passengers we stopped and picked up in Calgary. We were told the stop was due to a technicality. We flew out on a ***** plane. We were informed it was direct flight because we did not get off the plane in Calgary. We watched as our preselected premier seats seats had been reassigned to the Calgary ******* passengers. We were informed it was a dark flight, no chargers no on board flight entertainment. The seats were stiff, non reclining, limited leg room. We arrived in Montego Bay on time. The resort was good but our departure turned into a nightmare. We received no less than 12 flight/transfer changes and an over night cancellation. Our Sunwing representative at the resort was overwhelmed and ill informed. She left the resort prior to resolution. We were told to stay checked in and then told to check out. We sat for over 6 hours in our hotel lobby waiting for directions. Eventually everyone was told to check back in. We maintained contact with our travel agent in Edmonton. She did her best to help resolve our issues. We eventually were informed that our airport transfer would arrive at midnight, that later changed to 2:45am. We were finally taken to the airport where we remained for another 6 hours. The flight home was delayed twice. We were informed that ******* sent a rescue plane to pick us up (another ***** plane), non direct, dark flight home. * ****** *** ****** ** ****** ** **** ** ******* ******* ****. Had a trip booked for 10 of us to fly out morning of feb 18th. Didn’t send a notification until 10:30pm at night that the flight was cancelled. only 2 people in the group received the cancellation!!!!!! Everyone else was under the impression it was good to go. Waited an hour on the phone to speak to 2 agents who **** ********** **** when we asked for help rebooking? She said “didn’t you read the cancellation? You’re getting a refund?” I said yes I can and did read…. But that doesn’t help that we’ve already paid for hotels and parking and cannot get back our time off. We never even gave them a budget and was told was any new bookings would be out of our budget. Very short and very rude on the phone & when she told us we would get a refund via original method of payment I asked if half our group that paid cash would receive a cash payment then? She uhhh no they will receive a cheque very sternly. Sorry I’m not a mind reader and as per the agent she said original method of payment…. So if we paid cash would that not mean cash back? I have never been treated so poorly in such a stressful time. No empathy whatsoever. No discounts offered no vouchers offered nothing.Sunwing Vacations Inc

Family of three booked travel and I had to cancel ***** * *** * ***** **** and I only had cancellation insurance. Lost money on my husband and child’s even though why would they travel on a family holiday without me? Never booking through sunwing again as I thought they could atleast do a credit for future travel since my husband and daughter couldn’t travel with me since I got a health condition right before the trip. We understand your disappointment however it is the traveller's responsibility to ensure that they have the proper insurance in place if in the event they need to cancel. As a tour operator, we in good faith pay our travel suppliers for the travel services booked through us and cancellations can incur us penalties.
