Our Lawn care company came to spray our lawn, while doing so they dripped some of the lawn product onto our concrete driveway. The result of this was white blotchy spots all over the driveway. I called and asked if the product they use will damage the driveway. Kevin, the manager assured me that the product used would not damage the driveway. A few weeks later, returning from work I noticed a Kollegiate invoice inside our front door. Stating they would be back with a different product. And a few more weeks go by and i return home from work and see bigger white blotchy patches over the driveway. I checked my security camera to see what happened and saw that Kollegiate had poured some type of liquid all over the driveway that created the blotchy patches that I mentioned earlier. I immediately called Kollegiate and left a message with the receptionist to have Kevin call me back. Several days go past and no return call from Kevin. At this point I am starting to get frustrated and spoke to the receptionist expressing my anger with their company’s lack of professionalism. Later that day, Kevin returned my call I express my concerns and he told me that he would be out to look at the damage. Three days pass and still no Kevin. About a week later Kevin shows up at my house, I greet him at the door and he tells me he is here to check the damage and proceeds to walk to my backyard. That is when i said “ the damage is on the driveway. That is when I realized he has no idea of what is going on! We proceeded back to the driveway. He saw first hand what his crew had done to the driveway. That is when he told me to give him a few days to find a different product to clean the driveway or they would have to end up cleaning the whole driveway and that his crew need to be more careful. Days go by, my wife calls to speak to Kevin, left a message. And to this date still waiting to talk to him.Business response

Here is what happened according to our extensive records:
June 1 - we received a call that we stained the driveway
June 1 - we called back and told them that we will look after it
We went and tried to clean the driveway
June 27 - Mr. ****** called and asked if the product would damage the asphalt. We told him it would not.
July 6 - Mr. ****** called and told us not to bother with any more attempts at cleaning as he was planning on having the driveway washed and sealed anyway.
We thought the issue was resolved.
July 10 - we received a call from Mrs. ****** about the driveway.
July 10 - we called back and Mr. ****** told us to talk to his wife, she was not available so we told him to have her call us back. She did not call us back.
Over the next 2 weeks we attempted to contact Mrs. ****** daily totaling at least 8-10 times, leaving several messages to call us. We did not receive any phone calls from her.
Aug 1 - we left a message for her
Aug 1 - we made contact with Mrs. ******.
We are working together to resolve the issue.

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. E."s extensive records are false. We have the phone records to prove that ****** called and left a message for Kevin to call back and he first called me, **** , and then he called ****** the following day and left a message to which ****** returned his call again, he was not available. So, ****** left another message for Kevin to return her call and then no other calls came from Kevin until Aug 1st, likely due to the fact that we started the complaint with the BBB. He told ****** that he called several times and left a message to call which ****** said she returned his two calls and then nothing. Each time ****** asked to speak to Kevin she was told "he is not in the office and we will leave him a message to return your call. On August 1st. 2023 Kevin told ****** that he never received any of the messages that she had left with the receptionist.First off... there is no Mrs. ****** that they so called spoke to nor do we have an asphalt driveway. When the incident first happened, (driveway being stained) it was minimal. I (**** ) called and spoke to Kevin asking if the product they used would damage the driveway which is "CONCRETE", he said it would not. Several days later I noticed the major stains and saw on the security camera Kollegiate had come by and their workers had poured paint cans of liquid on the CONCRETE driveway. I immediately called Kevin and told him I was upset about what had happened. As for me telling him not to worry about it because I was going to clean it anyway was referring to the initial incident as the stains were minimal. Kevin came by to inspect the damage and went to the backyard gate, I told him the damage was to the driveway. That's when I knew he didn't know what he was looking for. That is when I let Kevin know that he misunderstood me. I told him in that moment, I was going to clean the driveway and stain it to which he said, "he did the same to his driveway". There was no reason for Kollegiate to come and pour buckets of product and scrub the spots which we have videos to show them doing this and we will gladly provide the videos for Mr. E. who we have never spoken to or dealt with AT ALL!
Further more Kevin said to ****** he would be out tomorrow which would be today August 2, 2023 as I am writing this and in typical fashion he has not shown up and it is 9:25 pm EST.
The information they have provided in their rebuttal is far from factual - No asphalt driveway, no Mrs. ******, and no 10 Times phone calls, ****** called three times and left messages with the receptionist, Kevin called back two of those times and the third time was yesterday August 1, 2023. which happened to be the first time they ever spoke. If Mr. Erb would like, we can provide him with video and phone documents so he can see for himself his staff have misled him to believe what is not true.

We have reached an agreement outside the BBB with Mr. ******. We have agreed to remove the balance for work done by Kollegiate Lawn Care to cover the cost of the driveway cleaning.Customer response
