    January 2022 HRSelectric installed a generator at my home. The day it was installed it did not work. Apparently it required a new part. I waited several weeks for the part which was eventually installed and then it worked.. In the summer there was a gas smell around the generator. My immediate neighbours and myself noticed the gas smell. I called HRSelectric and told him about the gas smell and he told me It is the same smell when you run your car in the garage. I was told it was safe to use it. Obviously I was very concerned with his answer. I called back and left message to come and check the generator but my call was not returned. My daughter then called him and told him to come out and check the generator and he hung up on her. I called again and finally he agreed to come. He finally came to check the generator and he could not figure out the problem. He returned for three consecutive days trying to repair the generator, he appeared not to know what the issue was. At that time I asked him to contact Generac on my behalf and ask for a new generator. He refused saying it was nothing to do with him and I should contact the company if I was not happy. Finally he repaired the generator but I did not have any confidence in the generator or the installer.December 2022 the generator came on during a power outage and ran for six hours and suddenly stopped. At that time the power was still out. I left several messages for HRSelectric to call me and come to repair the generator. He never returned my calls.The next day I called another company they came and repaired the generator.I emailed HRSelectric explaining what happened and included the invoice for $135.60 from the company asking him to reimburse me the cost of the repair. The generator was still under warranty at that time.He responded by saying because I did not call again he assumed I had fixed the problem and he would not reimburse me the cost . Very disappointing experience with HRSelectric.

    When the generator was installed on January 2022, there was a defective part from Generac that was ordered and installed as soon as it arrived. The smell of gas 6 months after the installation was due to a spark plug wire that came off as it was running on one cylinder and not burning the fuel completely. I made this a priority and came during the Derecho storm when there was major power outages and resolved the issue. Because of the issued ***************************** experienced, I offered a free one year maintenance plan to compensate. During the Christmas holidays ***** called and left a message that she was without power after the generator had been running for 6 hours. This was during a very bad snow storm with major snow build up. The Electrical contractor that responded provided a report that had no indication that the Generac was malfunctioning nor any issues with the installation. The findings was there was snow build up around the generator, which is the homeowner's responsibility to keep the area clear.

    HRS Electric prides themselves in doing quality work for their customers. We regret that ***************************** is unhappy with the service she received from us. We have installed over a 100 generators and this is the first complaint we have received. The majority of our customers continue their business relationship by purchasing long term maintenance plans, providing multiple referrals and posting on social media their appreciation.
