We hired Ital-crete to do our basement floor and the job was subcontracted out which we were unaware of. Ital-crete advised us of brush & epoxy product issues from their "overseas vendor". We allowed them to attempt to fix the issue and it got worse. The first attempt the floor was 90% bubbles, brush marks and damages to our hardwood steps, walls, doors, stone and wine barrel. The job wasn't prepped prior to starting the installation. (nothing was covered, protected or tapped).. The contract we signed mentioned approximately 10% of bubbles or flaws. We picked a color and the result look nothing like the color we picked. As a customer this was very disappointing, they agreed to redo it and make the necessary changes because of the bubbles and unexpected color. They couldn't get it right they tried everything the floor got worse and worse and they didn't know how they would fix it. The installer tried to complete the job on his own but from my research it says always have a 2nd person because timing and mixing is the key. We provided the company with a deadline to advise we were hiring another company to get the job done it went on far too long. The job was suppose to be completed before Thanksgiving weekend in early October 2021 and was still incomplete by November 28, 2021. The company decided they would up charge us because of the extra products, time and labour which was not in the contract. We were told that he just wants to get it right and have happy customers and good reviews. My suggestion is to do your research before you make any installment payments or go ahead with a company. I recommend going to look at recent jobs completed and asking for several referrals. The professionalism sure did change in the last few calls we received.

Ital-Crete had a contract with this customer, however we never advised of brush & epoxy product issues from our "overseas vendor", as we have been purchasing our products from this vendor for over 2 1/2 years and we would never purchase low-grade defective systems. We did advise the customers the colour they had chosen was on back-order due to covid shipment delays and they were always updated on the estimated week of arrival. We also had their product expedited and did not charge for this extra cost. The customers requested to have their installation to begin the week after Thanksgiving day. The 1st attempt of the completed work was completed perfectly, however the customer said they did not like the colour and design they had chosen. The floor only had 10% bubbles as they were made aware of this in their contract that this can happen due to changes in temperature, it definitely was not 90% of the floor area (we have photos to prove it). There was not any damage to their property and everything was prepped, completed and cleaned-up professionally. Epoxy metallic flooring does not require more than 1 installer to complete a basement floor. Ital-Crete agreed to have the floor re-done again at a discounted cost because they didn't like the colour and design they had chosen, therefore after the second attempt to complete the floor they still were not satisfied with the design and advised us that they will have someone else re-do their floor. The additional charges are to cover the costs of the second contract (which has still not been rectified by the customers). Unfortunately, the information from the company is not at all correct. A light beige/white floor turned out completely black and they have continued to reassure me this would be fixed and was unsure why the color looked nothing like the sample. The ****** review reference is very interesting and believe this isn't the case with the work that was performed. I am certain the contractor is no longer doing epoxy for this company and nor is this company continuing to install this type of product. We signed 1 contract and am not sure why an additional contract is being referenced. The contract said payments would be made at 3 stages and unfortunately the 3 was after completion but this job was never completed. (top coat never applied, damage, epoxy on stairs and marks from the spiked shoes that were worn) I asked the company after the 1st attempt to keep 20% and we would seek a new flooring company to do the installation and they were not open to this option due to the signed contract. The additional fees that are being added were never part of the signed contract and I think this company is taking advantage of growing families. This was a big mistake and I would feel horrible having another family experience this harassment, emails and unprofessionalism. We too have video, photos and tried to work things out but that door was closed because he confirmed he didn't have access to another installer with experience which is really unfortunate.
