      I was transferring Registered GICs to a Registered RRSP and per Simplii the GICs had to be cancelled to be transferred. They notified me that the accrued interest would be lost BUT, they did not disclose that given they were multi year GICs, the amount of interest that would be lost would be material (approx. $3K). The timing of the transfer could have been delayed to the maturity date (most within 6 months to 1 year) and they did not mention the quantum of the accrued interest or even the maturity periods which would have caused me to make a different decision. IMO - they met their minimum obligation ("i.e., told me that I'd lose accrued interest") but, failed to advise me transparently as to the amount and when I saw the transferred amount, I had no idea why the amount was so much lower. * ***** **** **** ********* ** ** **** ** ********* *** * ***** ***** **** **** ** ** *********** *** *** * ********* *********** ** *** ******* * ********. I tried to resolve this with Simplii and they advised me there was "no banking error".

      I opened a no fee chequing account and a high interest savings account a couple days ago online. During the process, Simplii Financial requested authorization for a credit check. There was no indication of it being a hard inquiry, so I consented. I found out today through my credit monitoring account that a hard inquiry was made by Simplii Financial. Had Simplii Financial been transparent about it being a hard inquiry, I would have declined. When I called in this evening to address this, I was informed by the CSR that “all banks do credit checks.” ** ** *** ******* ******** ** ** * **** ******* ** **** * ******** ******* *** ******* *******, and the fact that Simplii Financial asks to do a credit check for products that have nothing to do with credit-based products or services without disclosing that it is a hard inquiry is misleading and damaging to a credit score. I was informed that there is nothing that can be done to reverse this hard inquiry, either, even though there is an option for “correction to a credit report” under “desired settlement” when filing a BBB complaint.

      Last summer (2023) i requested new cheques from Simplii Financial. They never arrived. I am assuming they were lost in the mail and ended up in the wrong hands. In January and February of 2024 my cheques were being written out to ******* ***** to the amount of $4520.00! I don't know any such person. The cheques clearly did not have my signature on them but Simplii processed them anyway. I want to be reimbursed for the money that was stolen from my chequing account. Simplii refuses to refund me and has been uncooperative. They never returned my calls. I called everyday for over a month and not so much as one return call. Please help me get my money back! They deny ever sending the cheques out. How else would this person/persons got hold of my cheques? either way the cheques did not have my signature on them and the bank processed them without so much as a fraudulent activity alert.

      When signing up for their services back in I believe August, I signed up for an offer for "Earn $400". The stipulations of the offer were that of "Add an eligible direct deposit of at least $100 a month for 3 straight months." similar to the one that is currently being offered. Under normal circumstances, what from what I believe, I saw "Direct Deposit" and thought that any form of Direct Deposit would work so I set up our CCB (Canada Child Benefit) with it because it is a government-funded benefit. While there's a link that says "What's a direct deposit?", I didn't click on it because I know what a direct deposit it, I've been working for years. It's now December, I've had multiple deposits from the CCB enter our account and have not received the offer. I contacted their office and apparently the Canada Child Benefit "doesn't count" because it's based on the fact that it's "for the child"? Nowhere on the website does it say that in the fine print, and even if it did, no one would see that based on the home page where you sign up for the offer. I** ***** *** *** ***** ******* ******** ****** ******* **** *** * ***** **** ***** **** * **** ******* ** *** **** ** *** ** *** ********* ********* **** **** ****** *** ***** ******* ** *** *** *************** ** **** **** ** *** ****** **** *** *** *** ***** ** ****** ******** ***** ***** So Simplii Financial is denying me the offer based on a rule that the site doesn't tell you about all on the grounds that they gave a vague "Government Benefit" rule they added, ** *** ****** *** *** ** *** ******** *** ******* **** ******* ******* **** *** ********** ******** **** ****** ** ***** * ********* *** *** ************ ** *** ***** *** * **** **** ***** ************

      Over a month period (august 2023-september 2023) I was scammed/hacked by someone I do not know. The transactions were completed using emails, as a “one-time-contact.” I have been trying to get Simplii to follow through with their promise they’d open an investigation into my identity theft issue and get my money back. I lost around $7000. That money included **** ******* ***** ** student loans I received for college. I’ve been trying to call Simpliis fraud department everyday for the past weeks and always get the run around and never any answers or help!! I get put on hold for hours which I have screenshots to prove, and then the phone either hangs up, or they say they’ll call me back and never do!! September 6/7th I called simplii first about fraud. there was e-transfers unauthorized by me, taken since august! Simplii will not help me get to the solution on time or efficiently. I spoke with a supervisor named Nell from simplii and then an agent named Gizala. they still don’t call me back after saying that I would receive a call in the next 24-48 business hours. it’s been weeks since they should have called. The fraudulent transactions happened from the beginning of August until the first week of Sept 2023. I rarely checked my account balance which lead to me not realizing money was slowly being taken out of my account. It seems that my personal information was found and used in order to gain access to my bank account. This is not the first time I was hacked into my bank account, using a simplii financial account. Simplii agents have said they started an investigation, but the agent working on my file has not contacted me as they said they would in almost over a month since the investigation was opened. I even filed a fraud report with London ON police which I provided to simplii as well. Still, no new information has been given to me, and I still have not gained my money back to this day. **** ** ** **** **** ** ***** ***** ***** *** ******* *** ********* *** *****

      I am rejecting this response. Simplii Financial did not do everything they could have done to have helped me with my situation. A lot of money was taken from me and they didn’t seem to think it was real or said it was my responsibility. Meanwhile my sister did not take money from me, someone with the states with multiple different emails did. It states it in each unauthorized transaction. I don’t know how this situation started or who took my money or how people got ahold of my bank information and personal information. It is not my fault that money was taken from me. Simplii has the insurance to aid with fraud. I don’t understand how the bank will not help me with my money being taken from me without my knowing.

      I used the GIC program of simplli financial. When i was in India they asked me to transfer 625,978 INR for receiving $10000 CAD in my GIC account by 5 june 2023, which i completed on time by 4 june . But after reaching Canada they only processed $9882 CAD into my GIC. I have tried reaching to them via call but no one picks up and i have also tried emailing them but no one responds. All of my paperwork shows i was supposed to receive $10000 CAD.

      Have with held $70,000 for a cheque that cleared my bank Aug 14. Was deposited Aug 11 still as of today Aug 22 funds still held for no reason. Have been on Simplii Financial since 2017.

      I have been locked out of my Simplii account due to receiving my reoccurring payment of the *** credit for my 1year old daughter. I have had no issues with deposits of this type going into my account until my June deposit. For some reason due to my *** credit being in my common law partners name Simplii has told me that my account has been deemed inactive now and that I'll have to see a notary to show both my identification but my common law partners as well. She has gone thru month's off work to open her own simplii account as our initial thought was to have a joint account with simplii. Her account is now active with simplii. So why can't the *** credit be transferred. Seriously considering closing my account

      On June 27 2023 i log into my bank account to pay a bill my capital one cerdit card for the amount 1014.56 once i swiped i look at my account and the 1 payment came out. I log out . My dad sent me some money to pay a bill for him, i when to check if it was in my acoount about 10 mins later still only one transaction post. I got the notification it was deposited I when in to pay his bill and look at my account and bang two payments to to capital one for the same amounts. I called and was put on hold for 26 mins i spoke to an agent and i told her the issue and she said she was going to look into it. She put me on hold and came back and said its been to long to revise it. I saw well not my fault your phone line put me on hold for 26 Minutes. She asked me to hold on again to further investigate, after about 15 mins she came back and said we can't do anything right now i am going to have to escalated and will take 5 days. I wasn't happy i didn't do the double payment and i have to wait for the money i worked for . She made suggestions which just upset me. I explained all my bills are going to bounce becasue of there system error. And i am the only would is going to get  not one with NSF fees but it goes against my cerdit. They won't take an responsibility for there systems error. I need that money back and they don't understand. There system took money out of my account with out my permission

      I deposited a cheque into my Simplii chequing account on June 13, 2023. I understood that there would be a four day hold on the cheque so I waited. After the four day hold the funds were cleared and my account was credited 408.00. But Simplii Financial held 100.00 for no reason so I had a balance of 508.00 with 408.00 apparently available. Yet they locked my account so I had access to nothing. I finally was able to get through to them after holding for an hour and a half on the phone. As I was on hold they took away my cleared funds and placed the full 508.00 on hold saying that they didnt accept third party cheques. This cheque had my name on it and was not third party. Now they want me to jump through hoops to gain access to that money. ******* ********* ** ******** ***** ********* **** *****  I want Simplii Financial to put these funds into my account as available so I can tra after my money to a different bank and I want them to close the account which they said they were going to anyway ******* ** * ******** ******** ********* ** **** *******. * ** * ***** ******* *** **** ******** *** **** **** ***** *** ** ************
