1 star****** Disappointing Claim Process and Inadequate Service My experience with TD Insurance has been quite disappointing. Claim file I was offered a settlement amount significantly below the fair market value of my vehicle. Despite providing detailed market research and evidence, no adjustment was made. Additionally, even though I hold a premium package, I was only allowed to use a rental car for ten days, and the rental support ended before the claim was fully resolved. The representative handling my claim was not customer-focused and did not manage the process professionally, which further added to my frustration. I am still waiting for a fair and reasonable solution. I hope TD Insurance prioritizes customer satisfaction and addresses this matter appropriately.Review fromDavid M

1 star** ****** **** ****** ** *** ** ******* *** TD Insurance ****** we asked them to price ALL of our insurance .... TD Insurance would not send us a paper quote, they gave ** **** lots of numbers over the phone for premiums for everything. Wasn't until we made our first initial payment and received all the paper details that we found out the way the premiums were lower was both the coverage limits were lower and the deductibles were higher to achieve the numbers. We called to cancel the policies and were told TD Insurance was going to charge us a $400 early cancellation fee(we have only had insurance with them 2.5 weeks). We told the senior customer service representative who called us that we were not informed about any early cancellation fee's and it was not mentioned at any time during the recorded calls ** **** *** with the TD Insurance advisor. She said that there was nothing they could or would do as the $400 fee is charged by the TD Insurance underwriters. We put stop payments on all their withdraws, but had to close the bank account to ensure they would not try again at some point in the future. ****** ** ** ********** Any company who will not give you a quotation in writing before they take your money you should be wary of. We have ********** *********** **** ** ****** ********** *** informed the representative we would escalate the troubles and with good reason possibly move our investments to another banking establishment. She simply told us that was unfortunate, but , that she could or would not do anything to remove the $400 early cancellation fee that TD Insurance forced us into by their standard business practice of NOT giving out paper quotations to prospective clients only quotations done over the phone. ** **** *** pages of scribbles as she tried to copy down the numbers the TD Insurance advisor was telling her but would not email to her. We have since moved to **********, they were straight forward and everything was clear from the start.Review fromIsaiah M

1 star*** ******* ***** For one thing the rate they quote is only the rate if you pay multiple months up front, otherwise it is much more expensive. Second they notified me that they were just randomly upping the price of my policy, 1 month into the policy and that they would not refund me any of the up front months that I had paid. Customer service was thoroughly unhelpful and took 20 minutes on the phone, even after I had navigated through their AI assistant finally.Review fromLeigh-anne M

1 star******** ******* * Current home insurance was set to expire on the 17th of the month . Called TD insurance to get a quote and set up a new policy which they set to be effective on the 20th of the month it wasn’t caught by the agent on the phone that there would be a 3 day gap and I obviously had no idea it would be a problem I’m not a insurance professional… once I realized my insurance had ended with the old company rarer than have a gap of 3 days with no insurance I called TD to have them just start it immediately and they said they weren’t going to insure me anymore because I had the old policy end with out the new policy start and when I explained to them that they had a recorded call of me saying my insurance ended on the 17th and they picked the 20th and the 3 day gap was their fault and all I’m trying to do close that gap and now you don’t want to help me they said tough luck not only will we not insure you no one will . **** * ***** ** **** **** ** * *******Review fromRony A

1 star** * ***** **** ******** ***** * ****** Our basement was damaged by a broken water pipe. That was in March 2024. It is now October 2024. Customer support is a myth when it comes to this company. Every phone call to understand the status of our claim is a two hour ordeal. Most of that time is spent holding the line. When a representative finally answers they are completely *******. The person who is suppose to take care of our claim doesn't seem to know what she's doing or care. ** ******** * ****** ***** **** ******** I prefer paying more money and actually get the service I'm paying for.Review fromGavin S

1 starI registered for tenant insurance, but was unable to receive my insurance binder afterwards. I was unable to register, the number to call an agent did not work. Another number that I tried sent me would not connect to an agent the majority of the time, the one time I did connect the call was dropped. Essentially, I was unable to see my policy, cancel or modify my policy, or talk to anybody about it, or get online, even though I bank with TD. Additionally, I found out their quote is way overpriced in comparison to other vendors. *** ********* ** *** * *** **** **** ** *** ** ********** **** **** ***** **** * **** **** **** * ********* I will probably drop TD all together over this experienceReview fromAl M

1 starI have been with TD General Insurance for over 25 years. Unfortunately, my vehicle was damaged during the August 5th hail storm. TD has been unresponsive. They deemed my vehicle unrepairable after 8 weeks and towed my car at week 9. I have signed to total loss form and agreed to the payout amount. Now, I am left without a car and no payment. My adjuster is not responding my phone calls or emails. **** **** **** ** ******* ********* ********
