Notice: ******* I went to ******* Airport on June 19, 2023, to pick up my partner who was feeling ill after deplaning. I brought a thermos with hot water and lemon for my partner. When I arrived at arrivals, having parked for not even a full minute, the parking attendant told me to leave. I advised, pointing to my partner who looked visibly ill, that they were approaching us (he was 1-2 pillars away). The attendant sternly advised to circle around again. When I sat in my car and went to close my thermos the attendant banged against my window shouting to leave. I advised the thermos had hot water and I had to close both lids and was told again to leave or face a ticket. My partner was about 5-10 steps away from my car at this point. The aggressive attendant made me anxious and so I drove off with the intention to circle around. Upon circling back, my thermos, the one the attendant did not allow me to close properly, fell. I pulled to the side of the road as an emergency for a few moments to clean up the spill. It was at this point that I believe I received the ticket. No one came or stopped asking why I was parked there or to help. I received the parking notice on July 14th, 2023 at 12:59PM for $85 advising a due date of July 18, 2023 with an increase in payment to $107.60 if unpaid by that date. On the same date, I called the number on the notice at 2:02pm and explained the situation to a Raj from receivables. Raj did not appear to understand the circumstances and hung up the phone at 2:06pm. I re-attempted to call and received no answer. No solution was provided and the agent hung up. I have documented records of all details of this event and am requesting that the invoice be waived/cancelled. This was a first violation due to emergency.Business response

Hello,
The person you are referencing is a security officer and not a parking attendant. There is extensive signage indicating "No Stopping" and "No Parking" for public safety reasons. Additionally, there is digital signage at every highway entrance indicating "Stopping along the shoulder may result in a $85 fine." You were issued the violation because your vehicle was captured parked or stopped in a area not permitted. We have reviewed your case and have decided to reduce the fine to $40.

I am rejecting this response because: There was no signage posted in any of the sides of the street regarding no parking, nor were there any signs regarding no pulling over under emergency circumstances. My emergency lights were activated. There was a silver vehicle parked there as well however they did not have emergency lights activated. I have never parked on sides of the street and would surely make arrangements to go to the cellphone area or pay for parking. I do apologize for the inconvenience and perhaps next time, will endeavour to go elsewhere if an emergency arises. Because it was an emergency, I was only able to pull over to clean up the spill and it was only momentarily that I pulled over. Given that it’s a first infraction, I kindly request that the notice be waived.

Hello, I just received on mail an $85 ticket from Indigo parking. Notice #*******. I have already contacted them by email but I find it necessary to file a complain as I feel their practices are unfair. I dont drive as I have high anxiety issues however I had no choice but to drive to pick up my husband from the airport bc we leave far and there is no commute to rural country where we leave. I was in high anxiety driving in this jungle to begin with and of course they ******** and stressed me out to leave the gates, i drove using my gps and I found a spot with cars waiting on the side and i followed them as it seemed a more quiet spot far.. I didn't see any signs , but again I was in distress so I just wanted to calm down and wait for my husband. I did see the indigo car approaching and waiting there with us but no one got off the car to give me a notice. I would have left if they did, they were just collecting our information to give us tickets. How unfair, how inhumane to treat people like this, how sneaky. Guys , we are all trying to survive this life, make it easy , be fair.. why treating us like this.. you dont know what each one of us in this line waiting in our cars have been going through.. I feel this is so unfair and while I UNDERSTAND my mistake , a bit of compassion towards other people is crucial.. be kind.. let us know that we need to move... give us a chance... That being said, I am kindly asking to void this ticket in good faith and I promise lesson learned on my end...Business response

Hello,
Ther roadways are signed with "No Stopping" and "No Parking" signs for public safety. Additionally all highway access leading into the airport has digital signage indicating "Parking along the shoulder may result in a $85 fine." We havve reviewed the circumstances and have decided to waive the violation.

Dear , I am writing to request a void or reduction in the amount owed for the violation vehicle recorded stoped (#*******) I received on [7/7/2023] at [******* International Airport]. I am retired and on a fixed income, and I am unable to afford the full amount of the ticket. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused by parking in the wrong area. I was not familiar with the area and did not realize that I was parked in a restricted zone. I understand that it is my responsibility to follow parking regulations, and I will make sure to pay closer attention in the future. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this comment. Notice:# ******* I was picking my parents up from *** on June 17th, 2023 who had come home early due to a medical emergency. I was circling the area for 20 minutes and only pulled over to take a quick emergency call from my parents where I put my 4-ways on. I was stopped briefly and understand that his was a no parking area - for this I do apologize. I am currently in a dire financial situation where I have lost my job last August and just had my car break down 3 weeks ago for which I still can't afford the repairs. If you could please make an exception and void this ticket, this would greatly help me out both financially and mentally. Thank you for understanding and compassion.Business response

Notice # *******, I was picking up family members from the airport where it was extremely busy and absolutely nowhere to park. I circled the terminal several times attempting to find a spot but could not. Many cars were parked both on the right and left of me. I simply stopped behind another stopped car and collected my family. I was not stopped for more than 20 seconds, received no direction from any security/parking officer and received no citation at the time. I was very surprised and disappointed to find this notice in the mail for $85.00. This is an unjust ticket and there should be traffic personnel on-site to assist with the collection of travelers. I am not working and cannot afford to pay this ticket. I will certainly never make this mistake again. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.Business response

Hello,
You were not isued a the violation at the arrival or departure terminal. The reason you were issued a vioiation was your vehicle was captured parked along the roadway leading into the terminal, which is prohibited for public safety reasons. There are 4 digital signs along the highway entrances leading into the terminal indicating "Stopping along the roadway may lead to a $85 fine." Additionally, there is extensive "no STopping" and "No Parking" signage all along the roadway leading into the terminal. Please contact the call center to make payment arrangements.

I am rejecting this response because: Yes there was a brief period where the car was parked where you indicated however due to the fact that there was no parking at the pickup lane. As mentioned, I circled several times to find a spot, unsuccessfully, then stopped until the exact moment my family members were ready and waiting. I'm asking for a one-time exception to void this ticket as a sign of good faith.

As a first-time visitor of ******* airport, I was confused by the parking situation when I was there to pick up my father on Jun 14. The cellphone area was full, and I observed several cars parked on the shoulder. Unfortunately, the parking sign was likely covered by these cars, leading me to believe it was permissible to wait there. Upon parking, I realized my mistake when I saw the sign partially obscured by another car from my viewpoint. Immediately recognizing the violation, I decided to leave without even turning off my car. The attached photograph on our ticket clearly shows that our brake light was, indicating our intention to vacate the area promptly after the car besides us moved. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by our misunderstanding and assure you that it was an honest mistake and I left the area immediately and I was there for just a few second. Being an international student facing financial struggles, this parking ticket has caused me significant concerns. I went to Airport to pick up my friend and this was my first time visiting *** Airport. I missed couple of exits and couldn’t actually find the way to park my car at the gate due to the confusing route. I just parked my car next to curb side and tried to find out way to get in as this was my first time visiting Airport. I sincerely apologize and I will not repeat the mistake again. Notice #******* from Indigo Park On Saturday, May 13, 2023, I went to the ******* ******* airport to pick up my sister. While waiting for the vehicle in front of me to move to allow me to pull up to the location my sister was waiting, my license plate was photographed and a ticket in the amount of $85 was mailed to me. Hi this is regarding the Vehicle recorded Stopped notice#******* that I received in mail. On April 12th, I went to the airport to pick a family member up and upon arrival, the terminal authorities did not let me stop so I had to go around again and wait as the flight got delayed. After waiting on the side of the road and away from all the traffic, I went to pick up my family member. I had no clue regarding any such infarction and it was not my intention to break any rule.
