Upon reviewing your complaint, it seems you have gone on credit counselling on December 7th 2021. These two debts owing to ** Bank were purchased on December 3rd, 2021. One account owing is for a overdraft and the other is for a **** you had with ** ****. With you being on credit counselling, and you are the correct individual with these two debts, can you please give us some clarity as to why we would remove these two accounts ? Both accounts are within the 6 year time mark to be on your credit report, and we have confirmed with ** **** you went on credit counselling for these two debts. Just because you are using credit counselling services this does not mean these two matters can not be reported in your credit report.

I have also ******** the letter we sent to you dated November 30th 2021 advising we have purchased these debts from ** ****. If you did go bankrupt please show us a copy of the bankruptcy information showing you went bankrupt before we purchased the debt on November 29th 2021. We have yet to receive any documentation regarding you going on credit counselling or if you have gone bankrupt. You can email our collections manager all the information. His name is Paul F. His email address is *******@*********.ca. The dates I provided in my initial response are correct, as shown on your credit report and the letter provided in this response. As stated in the previous response. Both these debts are from 2018, they can stay on your credit report for 6 years.

Please see Page 3 of the document sent. It clearly states it’s as of December 7th, 2021. This date is after the date of purchase of the debt. Please also be advised that you may have gone on consumer proposal on November 15th, 2021, by the time everything was processed your debt had already been sold. The province of Alberta recognizes your Consumer Proposal as of December 7th, 2021, as dated on the documentation sent over. Please also note we never received any payment from ** Bank and were unaware you had made any sort of payment to them as we never received anything from ** ****. Once again you may have signed the documents on November 15th, 2021, but this matter became official as of December 7th, 2021, when all creditors were made aware. Once again this is after the purchase of this debt. You advised you made a payment to ** **** can you please supply a copy of the receipt of this payment, as no payment should have been made through your Credit Proposal before December 7th, 2021. Got a notice on my credit report I had something sent to collections. Looked into it it was put there by ICE collections for $793 with no other inforamtion. Searching ****** I found they work on behalf of the City ** ******* recovering old debts. I also found out I am not the only person accusing them off falsely trying to claim debts. I have not been in toronto for over 10 years and never been contacted for a debt but even If i had a debt 10 years is way past the statute of limitations for how long u can wait to collect. Need to have calls that happen on a daily basis to stop immediately, only communicate by email. They use auto dialers and call well outside the boundaries of collection laws in Ontario. Calls to my workplace need to stop immediately as well.Business Response

One account is for your ** **** with a balance of $1287.35, and the other is for a overdraft for the balance of $1310.29. Due to you having two accounts listed with us, we are legally allowed to have 6 contacts in a week. 3 contacts for each account in where we leave a message or speak with you directly. We also can see we never spoke to you regarding this matter since we have had these files in our office, and we have not received any sort of documentation advising you wanted no calls at your place of employment since you were the one who gave this phone number as a contact number as a contact number when you applied for credit. Please be advised since you are the correct individual, we will not be removing your home/cell phone number for calls to stop. On Wednesday September 13, 2023 at about 6:20pm. They call my father’s residence where I currently do not live. They left an automated message on my dad’s answering machine. My dad texts me letting me know and to call them back on this number. I called the first time and the call ended up dropping after 40 seconds. Then 20 mins I called again and it continues to ring and then there’s two different automated messages the first one in a voice of a man and the second automated message with a women’s voice. Then a customer representative name Robert F. answers. I started talking to him about the amount amount I owe. He started getting **** ******* towards me on the phone and talking about my personal life and relationship with my dad. I tried asking for the manager he said that there’s no one available but it seems like he’s the only one working. Cause I called back a few times prior he’s the only one answering the phones and no one else. He was mentioning what I owe on one credit card and another credit card. When he mentioned the *** ********** I tried to explain that I never recalled having that credit card while being in high school. I only remember having a ** credit card at the point in time. I only dealt with ** ****** ***** bank. I tried to explain that to him and he just accused me of ******** and was being very **** and ***********. Then he ******** me to go forward with charging me *****. When I’ve already been contacted by *** ****** about the same ** credit card. I’ve never been contacted in over ten years by *** bank about a ********** credit card. He was being unprofessional and he didn’t care about that. I really don’t deserve to get verbally abused by someone who doesn’t know my personal life.Business Response

We received no response from you from any of our letters. It was not until we received this complaint that we saw a new address. There is a balance outstanding with our office and we can gladly have our manager Paul F. reach out to you regarding this, or you can email Paul at *******@*********.ca. You are advising this card is a card you had opened when you were in High School, but it was used past your time in high school and is within the 6 year time frame that this matter can be in your credit report. I do believe this is your debt due to having your father phone number ( was given when you applied for credit ). I would suggest reaching out to Mr. F. and we can assist you in getting this matter rectified off your credit report immediately. If you are stating this is not your debt then a Police report would be required showing this matter is *****, and we can close the account as ***** once we receive the police report.

Looked on credit score seen a ICE for 1749.50...tried to contact ice twice by phone..seen it was "City ** *******" made successful contact there by email....Was told was for "court proceedings"...so to the provincial court I go. Was for fines pertaining to me not having a drivers license, while I had a license....the people were confused, but all too happy to take my money. I looked at the options I had and since all the info(contact) is on my credit report is correct, have just figured as before someone has used my name and this is the price. I paid the full amount on AUG 1st...but wait, according to ICE 12 days later, there's more..$329. more. I checked at the court there was nothing more...and it would had been rightly nice to receive a bill a call? This company has done nothing beside file a credit report (a bad one at that) couldnt be bothered to pick up the phone upon my contacting them in. **** ** **********.let go of my credit rating! The notices were mailed to the address provided to us by ** Bank however when you moved to a new location the forwarding address was not provided nor updated at the post office via National Change of Address. ****** *** ******** a copy of the notice of assignment showing your debt was sold from the ** Bank to International Credit Experts Inc. on November 30, 2021. We have also ******** a copy of your credit report clearly showing this matter was on your credit report when we received your file in our office from the ** Bank. Please provide a copy of the Police Fraud report which indicates this is not your debt and that someone may have committed fraud using your name. Once we have a copy of the Police Fraud report we will gladly take this matter off your credit report. For your information, the credit bureau has your account reporting since 2018 and was defaulted on 03/2019, please provide us with documentation showing that you disputed or filed claims with both the ** Bank and *******. ** Bank received your permission to outsource/sell the account to a third party upon default when you applied for the credit card as it clearly states this on the application which you signed.

Someone from this company continues to call my personal cell phone looking for my dad who died SIX YEARS AGO!!! I took my mom to the bank with the proof of death the say we got it and we were told what ever debts he had would be gone. Yet somehow these people got my phone number, and are ********* me. They leave messages for my dad, HE IS DECEASED!! I don't need phone messages as a constant reminder, I'm well aware he is gone. As requested I am responding to the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau regarding ongoing ********** from International Credit Services Inc.
The contact person for my dad’s estate was his lawyer *** ******** of ****** ****** ***** ***. He assured us that since my dad had no assets, he would take care of it so that no recourse would come to my mother. R***** ******** can be reached at ************ or ***************@********.ca
It still does not explain how this company got my personal cell phone number since my dad and I NEVER had any of our finances tied together and my phone number has never been associated with his credit cards. Another fact that does not make sense is why after 6 years this company thinks it’s acceptable to try and contact the child of a deceased person, his debts would in no way be my responsibility to begin with.

There was an alert on my credit report stating that i received disparaging comments from ICE x 2 from April 2023 on behalf of City ** *******. At this date, I have not received any correspondence and/or communication from ICE so have no idea where this came from. Certainly for $170 i would have simply just paid any due charges??
