I was searching for a specific firearm for sale online and it happened to be a Walther brand. This site popped up as having the exact model I was looking for. I went through the normal process of putting it in my shopping cart (online) and started the checkout process. I found it strange that they did not appear to accept Mastercard or Visa. The payment options were limited to Zelle, PayPal and one other payment app. I also noticed that they accepted payment in crypto/bitcoin and that using that option they would knock an additional $100 off the cost of the firearm. I selected to pay using PayPal. The transaction appeared to be completed just as you would have expected with any other site. The next day I received an email from [email protected] requesting I confirm the FFL dealer location to ship the firearm. I confirmed it. Then I got another email that stated my order was on hold pending payment. Then another email asking me if I was ready to complete the transaction by making payment. I emailed them back asking for clarification in their process. They said that in order for payment to be received I would have to send it directly to them from PayPal. I responded telling them that I was sure this was a scam, and I would not be doing business with them.
