The scam started on Instagram. The scammer claimed to be an expert at trading crypto using a software called TC. For a $500 investment she promised a $8500 return. After she verified the $500 was received she directed my friend to go to https://www.minetrose.com/ and setup an account. The next day she logged in and it showed her $500 investment was now worth $10,500. When she tried to cash it out she was told she needed a pin to do so. She continued to talk to the scammer and asked how to get the pin. The scammer informed her she would need to pay $2,500 for a software that would give her the pin. The scammer promised the $2,500 would be added back. Thankfully my friend didn’t give the $2,500. The scammer had since opened new profiles on Instagram but I have found them and reported them
