Responded to job ad on Indeed/or LinkenIn for WFH gift-wrapping from home job...got contacted by phone for screening interview...seemed legit. Except for all had Russian or foreign accents. (First red flag) Got offered position via email. With many typos and grammatical errors. (2nd red flag) Submitted utility bill and DL for ID proof. They require Zelle or CashApp to get paid. Website says something completely different. Did not set those up and asked why they weren't asking for tax info like w-4 form. THEN they sent the link to the IRS. Did not submit. Received first package with NO instructions on what to do with it. A Lego toy. Label sent for my forwarding of product. Label was exactly the same as one sent to me. Senders personal info (name and address) on the label. Third and final red flag. Not sure what the scam is in having people just re-forward the same thing over and over but the ACTUAL First Rate Haulage site looks like a legit Corporate Gifting site and this scammer is using their name for their scam. Even the phone number from the person didn't match the name. The scammer is "Jake Owens" - [email protected] from cell 404-567-5878. That number comes up as a Peter McElroy. I have requested they delete/destroy my account and info (the Driver's License being the main concern) and get this product picked back up. He said they can't do that. I told him to figure it out or I will toss it and that I am contact you.
