The scammer posted to the Facebook event post for the International Food Carnaval hosted by the Hispanic Networking Group in the Ozarks claiming to be the contact for vendor sign ups. The scammer sent the following email to a potential vendor: We are taking 3 food trucks so as to help them maximize profit. The first 3 food trucks to complete their application will be registered to vend at the event. There is a vendor registration fee of $100 to be paid during the registration that will go to a Charity organization for kids. We had 2 food trucks during last year's similar event but it was sold out before the end of the event so we've decided to take 3 this year. Based on current estimates attendance is up to 2,000+. All your profits are strictly yours. The event is real but this personal was trying to scam potential vendors out of money by posing as an event contact. They are not in any way affiliated with the group.
