Would give zero, I drove an hour, I spent all day at the dealership and there was plenty of time to get all the numbers and paperwork in order. They called me a couple hours after I got home and said they had an appraisal mix up on my minivan, which is what I was trading in , they won't honor the paperwork. They want to give me less for my trade in. They are coming to get the **** explorer and bringing my minivan back. ?? Anyone know if they can do that ? I really wanted the explorer ??. So I would NOT recommend Stivers Ford of Birmingham at all if this can happen. Papers are signed , They took 5 hours, it was their numbers they came up with, and now they are saying no! How can they do that, the customer wouldn't be allowed to do that. Papers are signed ! Help! Horrible place , I dislike car buying even more now, not trustworthy!

If you are approved for a loan through your financial institution, DO NOT sign any paperwork when you are told this is for your loan. For some reason, they ran my credit report again. I filled out a survey and ****'s *********** sent me a message regarding this and I was told ******** would be in contact with me regarding my concerns. 2 weeks later, I received another message from ****'s *********** checking to see if ******** had been in contact with me. I have never heard from ******** and will not be purchasing anything from them in the future. I now take my car to ************** in ********* (over an hour drive), but I have received excellent service from them. I plan on using ************* in the future for all my automobiles.

I paid Stivers thousands of dollars for repairs they had the car for almost a year get the car back months later car on the side of the road a mechanic looks at the car from the paperwork given by Stivers of what they fixed not even half of the repairs were done that I paid for this is only half the story and being told the car was done several times only to be broken down on the side of the road hours after picking the car up several times this was my hard earned money that was wasted for nothing if the car could not be repaired why not say that

BUYER BEWARE: We would give this dealer zero stars if it allowed us to. we attempted to purchase a new Bronco and the company sold the car to someone else without informing us. We were told we could buy the car that was on their lot and tried to put a deposit on it while the paperwork was being completed and the salesman told us no need to put down a depositthe car is yours.I have the keys in my pocket so no one else can sell it. As we completed the paperwork, we were told Im sorry..that car is no longer available. They told us they would locate us another car and never called us back. The guilty parties at this company are ************************* and *******************************. ****** even told us Ill sell you this car for MSRP. We agreed to the purchase on the spot. We found out from another dealer that they had heard that some dealers were selling cars to others at higher prices than MSRP if the car was in short supply. No idea if that was the case here but, regardless, these 2 guys lied to us and sold a car to someone else that we had already agreed to purchase. We feel this is UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior. We hope that others will BEWARE when visiting Stivers ***** POOR example for *****************

Id give zero stars if possible. I was sold a certified pre owned truck with a CLEAN CARFAX. 2 weeks later I discovered it had been painted on. I had a well know body shop check it out. It had been worked / painted on in several places. Over a dozen calls to ***** the general manager. He refuses my calls and refuses to return my calls. Under him is ****, which does the same. They REFUSE to even talk to me about this, even in person. When I stop by the managers are never available . Stay away from Stivers ******

If I could give 0 stars I would.I had a 2016 F-150 at the collision shop for about 7 weeks before it was ever touched. It was dropped off on 10/19/2023. No one has ever called to give me an update on my vehicle and every time I call, they cannot seem to give me an estimated finish date. I called to get an update and was told it was actively being worked on and that they didnt have an estimated completion date. On Friday 12/8 I decided to drive by and check for myself and I found my truck sitting out on the lot and has never been touched. Stivers **** has had my truck for 39 business days, and it has not been touched nor have I been updated. I understand getting the parts in, but my parts were not even ordered for 12 business days. I also called on Nov 29th to see about a loaner vehicle because State Farm only pays up to $1000 and that ran out on Nov 22nd. I was told you guys did not have any vehicles available. The loaner vehicle has still not been addressed. I have called multiple times to talk to ************************* and have left messages and have never received any help with a loaner car.Timeline: October 19th- Dropped off at Stivers Collision. November 3rd- Stivers has submitted their initial estimate.November 3rd- Parts were ordered Per ************************* (******** shop Manager)November 7th- Your shop submitted a revised estimate.November 29th- I called to check on a loaner car and was not helped at all.December 8th- I drove by to see my truck parked and has never been worked on at all.December 11th- I emailed ***************************. (no response)January 5th ****- Still have not heard anything.January 8th ****- I called and was told the truck should be in paint by the end of the week.January 19th ****- No one has called to update me.January 19th****- Emailed *************************** again. (No response)They have had my truck for 93 calendar days.

I purchased a car from this company back in December of 2022 and by March of this year my car check engine light come on. So they were called about this matter. My car stayed in they shop for a week or two got it back one day of having my car back it went back into they shop again for the same issue so for the 3rd time of my car going back into the shop I told the Service Manager ***** I think its the Motor is going out its the thermostat is bad so that was change 4x. So I received my car back a week before June 17,2023 I a family emergency I had to leave an go out of town so on the 18,2023 the check engine light came back on I go gas up my that night now the motor went out. I called *********** back and spoke with the manager that over ***** and I mentioned to him that my motor was going out. Why didnt they not check the motor he informed me we have no way of checking the motor if we dont have a motor issue I said if the thermostat might keep coming on and off. Its a motor issues with **** Eco Sport that your company sold me. For car to be in shop for the thing thats a problem with my car. has been in our shop over four times. Im stuck out of town with no way of getting back unless I pay someone to bring me back to Al. I traded 2 cars in for this **** I believe they knew something was wrong with the car before sold it me. I have a document of this man telling me its nothing he can do unless I get the car sent back to him and my expense.

Welcome to the home of no integrity auto sales. I spent several hours dealing with a sales person (***********************) about a van that I wanted to purchase. I was very clear that I wanted the van and, after discussing the specifics, started my purchase online. I placed the order, got an order number and then got ghosted for two hours. I kept reaching out saying that I wanted to complete the sale, but only got short answers ("give me a second," a thumbs-up emoji, and the finally an assurance that we would at least get the transaction done before the end of business, today). Eventually, my sales person told me that he had sold the van to someone else. Utter lack of integrity, blatant dishonesty, and totally unprofessional. Want to buy a vehicle? I suggest you find somewhere that has at least an ounce of ethical fiber. This is why used car dealerships and sales people have such a bad rep; because theyre bad people.

Had **** pickup truck transported to Stivers for a problem. Truck was chattering like a disk brake had collapsed or there was a problem in the driveline. After a week of calling and visiting, I was told that the differential had failed and that multiple 'shafts' had cracked and broken. This was obviously untrue because an entire disassembly would have had to be done to reach this conclusion. I was told that the repair would be about $3400 but I requested that used parts be used. I was then quoted $2400. Three weeks later, they hadn't started the repair. I went into **************** and was first told that the whole assembly was there and then, that they had trouble getting the assembly. At week four, I was told that the problem was a driveshaft bearing.....this was the original problem but Stivers wouldn't admit it. They said that it would be about $500 more for the repair. I asked that they put the truck on the street and lock the keys in it and I would have another shop do the repair. I was then contacted by *****************. He admitted that there were no cracks in any shafts and that they had only found shavings in the differential oil. He then said that he had been authorized to do the bearing repair for free and they would even absorb the labor charge. It's now week 5 and the truck hasn't been repaired. Calls to ***************************, General Manager go into his voicemail and aren't answered. ***************** has been called twice this morning alone and he won't take them or return them.
