I hired the crack guys to do foundation work on my slab. A week later, it was discovered that they drilled two holes into my drainage pipe and filled it with their foam causing my toilet to back up into my bathtub. I have now had to pay $5,500 to replace the pipe, and I have to find someone to fill in the concrete. I'm still working to get a quote for someone to complete that work. The crack guys job was supposed to be $6,500, and I'm now at $8,700 ($5,500 for plumbing job plus $3,200 I paid the crack guys up front). I still owe the crack guys another $3,200. I had no plumbing issues before calling them. The pipe was inspected by the plumbers who removed it, and there is no other damage than where the crack guys drilled a hole into it.

Their employees work solely off commission and they will sell you services that they know won't work. The estimator for their poly work, *********************, is a fraud. He will lie to you and take your money. They sent three Hispanic guys to my house to install 2 helicals on my front porch. They worked their butts off installing the helicals (which didn't lift my porch 1 cm. Afterwards, the crew leader pulled out his calculator and showed me exactly how little they were making on this job due to their commission based pay scale. It was less than ****** between the 3 of them. It was appalling and I tipped them ******. The crew leader then showed my why *****' poly job wouldn't work. I informed ***** of this and he assured me it would. ***** came out there 2 weeks later to do the poly job. To make a long story short, it didn't work anywhere close to the degree ***** said it would. It also cracked the h*** out of the concrete slab. I had to hire a construction crew after them. They basically stole ******* from me. Do not use these frauds

Affordable Foundation & Home Repairs - The Crack Guys Response

    09/05/2023

Affordable Foundation and ****************** DBA The Crack Guys sent a crew out on 7/3/2023 to install helical piers on the porch at **************** home, and then sent our Poly specialist out on 7/17/2023 to inject poly under his porch. Our helical piers are put in for stabilization, as stated in our contract. We do not promise lift, but we do state that we will attempt a lift if possible. There were noises coming from the porch when we attempted to lift, so our ******* discussed it with the customer and they decided that they would not continue to attempt the lift. When our Poly specialist started to install poly under his porch, he noted that he was able to get a 2 inch lift with the poly injection. In order to get any more lift out of the porch, the specialist informed the customer that he would need to cut the concrete in the area where the porch meets the driveway. **************** refused to let the concrete be cut, so we could get no further lift with the porch.**************** then called in and stated he was not happy with the results of the job on his porch. We then sent our Projects Manager out to the property a week after the Poly was installed to look over the job and discuss any issues. When the porch had originally sunk, it had separated the covering over the porch from the house, which the customer noted was his primary issue at that time. In order to try to make the customer happy, our Projects Manager made two offers to the customer. The first was to go out and fix the issues the customer stated he was unhappy with. The second was to offer the customer a $1,000 credit to the balance he owed if he wanted someone else to fix the issues. Finally, we cant speak to what was discussed between the ******* and the customer. There could have been a misunderstanding. What we can say with confidence is that our crews and ******* are some of the best compensated in our industry and in the construction world.
