In October 2023 my minor son *********************** received physical therapy services at SportsMed. At time of visit they were charging me $125, even though my insurance says it should be (approx. $30) I called BCBS from their office and they confirmed it should be $30. The receptionist said I had to let it go through their billing, so I paid $125. Months passed and BCBS had long ago paid, and it said SportsMed owed me $98 refund. In January 2024 there was no refund yet - so I called and was told by SportsMed that they do owe me a refund but they are very busy and it will take 9 weeks to get a refund. They said they would refund to my credit card. I informed them my credit card had since been shut down and in dispute, so do not send it there. The woman on the phone from SportsMed said they will mail me a check, she confirmed my mailing address, then said to give it 9 weeks to arrive. 9 weeks passed with no refund, so I called their office. They told me they refunded it to the credit card which we no longer have, so I did not get a refund. Since March 2024-May 2024, I keep being told the person who can help will either call me back (and does not), or one person who talked to me would look into it and call me back (and has not). I was incorrectly charged from the beginning and spending months chasing down a refund I have not received. I want the refunded check I was told was being sent to me.
