Shopper's BEWARE!I was working with the sales department about the possibility of purchasing a new motorcycle. I chose not to purchase a bike on my first visit to the store because I really wanted to make sure I could afford the monthly payments. After thinking about for a couple weeks, I decided to check back in with the sales rep to see if one of the bikes I was considering was still available. He said yes it was and that my credit app was still good by one day. After telling me the bike would be one price, he then told me it would be a couple thousand more dollars. I told him I would have to think about that price difference. The one thing he didn't not tell me nor did he get my authorization and approval to do was to re-run my credit report. They ran it on both myself and my wife whom had not been in any conversations with them. This was a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting ACT (FCRA). When I contacted the salesman to inquire why they did this, I got no response. No apology or anything. (Crickets). I am still contemplating legal action against them for doing this as businesses shouldn't have the ability to hurt shopper's credit scores with multiple hard inquiries just because they are desperate to make a sale.
