Great place for fuel. Good selection for in store needs. The rewards program works too but if you have 1000 points because you have spent $1000 that will give you $1 off per gallon of fuel up to 20 gallons, if you don’t get all 20 gallons you lose your investment. I recently had 1000 points and stopped at a Murphy to fill up my motorcycle 4.5 gallons and all my points were used. Regardless of gallons purchased if you are spending thousands of dollars a month here you need to use any rewards for fuel to receive the full 20 gallons or you will lose the points in full.

On May 14, 2024, I pushed the unleaded button for gas, but the pump gave me premium before o realized that it had happened. However, I went inside tell the store, but the store attendant said that she could not do anything. She proceeded to call her manager. She also states that she could not doing anything. I proceeded to final a complaint/concern about the situation. This the response that I got from “Murphy’s USA “Hello Gwendolyn, We do apologize that you experienced this at our Hernando location. Our pumps are self-service pumps with security features to prevent the fuel grade from switching mid fueling. This means that if one grade gets selected accidentally prior to you making your selection or before the fueling begins, the grade will not change. This does not mean you pressed the button. It could be as accidental as the hose hitting the button after you had already selected unleaded, but before you pulled the trigger to start the fueling. To prevent this from occurring, you can also insert the nozzle in your tank prior to selecting the preferred grade. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will allow us another opportunity to serve you. Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Have a great rest of the day. Murphy USA Customer Care ************  I responded back to them Thanks for your response, but the hose didn’t accidentally hit the button. I’m sure there are cameras on the gas pumps. You can surely see on the camera where I push the unleaded regular button and not the premium. I have researched this information and this has happened before at on other pumps. This error is on your end not minds. I’m very unhappy with this situation and no compensation due to error with gas pump.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is awful! Horrible customer service in store and over the phone- if you can even get ahold of anyone that is. They do not care about their customers at all, their bathrooms are disgusting and most of the time closed because their employees are too lazy to clean it. It constantly stinks like cigarettes from employees smoking by the door. The site itself is tiny and cramped and they are awful at making sure the line doesn't get so long that it ends up out of the door and into dangerous oncoming traffic going into and out of the pumps. Please just don't go here. Ever. I will never go here again. Don't waste your money.

Took vehicle in for tire owner put on different brand tires on. I started feeling a vibration thought it was just the tire. Over a little time vibration has gotten worse. I found out its not recommended to run different brand tires on an all wheel VECHICLE. I called & said I would like to rotate tires to see if noise goes away. They told me booked through Friday. I guess when I get tire rotated. If noise doesn't go away I will have to go to court & let them figure it out.

I have been shopping at Murphy USA for 5+ years and have never used any of the Murphy USA phone app Rewards. I logged into the app, and noted that my account balance was lower than what it should be. I looked through the rewards history in the app, and noticed that 2 rewards redemptions were placed between 9/19 and 9/28 of 2023 (in Florida). I live in AL, and have not been to FL, and the amount of fill-up is almost double my car's tank size. After contacting the customer service line, and confirming the fraudulent redemptions, I was told, "Sorry, we can not adjust tour points after 7 days". Escalated to management, with the same response. No exceptions to this absurd policy. Since I was not at fault here, and have been punished by the lack of security of using someone's phone number that did not have 'customer verification security setting' PIN set-up (this is not a mandatory setting, and no instructions are available on setting this up as a default). This was the first (and likely LAST) time I will deal with a company that doesn't care about customer care and satisfaction. USER BEWARE! SCAM ALERT, and good luck getting help. Terrible rewards program. -Brent F.

I bought cigarettes ended up having to donate money without my authorization to some stupid charity. Money was stolen from me I feel like. You always want people to round up or to donate.. The pump should never have printer paper in them. I have to stand in a long line to get a receipt.. It defeats a purpose of paying at the pump. The bathrooms have been out of order for over 2 years. Don't figure.

Hi Mr. B*****, We do ask our customers if they would like to round up or donate to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, but it is completely 100% optional.  You make the decision.  That is why we ask. Please just click no on the pen pad or tell the cashier no if you do not want to donate.  Let us know the date/time and pump number any time there is not printer paper in the pumps by calling Customer Care at 800-843-4298.  We will be happy to ensure it is replaced.  The Store Managers try to ensure there is paper, but it can run out at times when they are the only ones at the store. They cannot leave the register if they have a line of customers. Normally pump register paper is checked daily.  You did not say which store you visited.  If it was one of our Kiosk stores, then while we love to provide a bathroom to our customers, since those stores do not sell prepared food, then a public restroom is not required.  Again, one is normally open, but there are business reason for not opening the restrooms to the public at times.  Sorry you feel we have let you down.  Hopefully you will find your next visit more enjoyable.

I prepaid $20 for gas and bought a monster drink. After prepaying, I went to pump it only to find that the prepayment didn’t go on the pump. When I went back to to counter to see what happened, they told me I had already pumped it and showed me a receipt of it being pumped. The time stamp on the receipt was nearly 30 minutes earlier and was obviously not the receipt for my gas. They said they just did shift change and cannot look at previous transactions and to just wait for the $20 to go back on the card, and that there was nothing else they could do. The problem is that the transaction had already posted to my account, meaning it had already been pumped by someone else. It appears as tho the clerk was in a hurry and mistakenly put my prepayment on someone else’s pump instead of mine, and I’m out $20. Never again will Murphy’s get my business. I can’t afford $20 cover charges just to get in and buy a drink.

We got gas in Shallotte NC at Murphy only to find out they had put a 145 dollar hold on his credit card not a debit card took four days to get it cleared up. Basically we were charged 175 dollars for 30 dollars worth of gas. That is not right to do that to people like us who are on a fixed income. We will never go back to Murphy to get gas again. We should not be punished for those who choose to steal gas and run off.
