Last year I signed a 25 year contact with VANTAGE SOLAR LLC for lease on solar panels for our house. I was told we were going to save money by going solar. The first three months (Sept. Oct. Nov. 2024 we did have a low bill) December, January and February we are again receiving hight electricity bills as we did before we had the solar system. I have called and called the company, even e-mailed them son they can look into the problem and fix it and it's been three months on the waiting and they do nothing about it.Business Response

We had to wait on *** to approve the revised plans that were needed to complete the solar system installation. The install was completed on 11/16/24 and the solar system passed the county's final inspection on 11/19/24. The system received the permission to operate and was activated on 12/10/24 meaning that the project was fully completed. Our solar panels were installed and turned on June 11th 2024 We went a month thinking it was working. The bill came back higher than the month before for our power. We called them, but there was no response. The next month, we got a bill for our electric still as high as always. They finally came out and determined that the computer was not communicating with the meter, so they fixed it. It stayed fixed for about a week. Then I noticed that it wasn't working anymore. When I checked the meter numbers, we were now in the fourth month, and we are still producing power with our solar panels. But it's still not communicating with the meter for the electric company, so we don't get to use any of the power that we produce. Trying to get ahold of these people is crazy. We have to text them. There's no office to go to. When we went to the office, it didn't exist. So we have to text with some woman who gets back to us when she wants to, and she continually tells us that she checks the app and it's working fine. I tell her that we know that we have the app also, but our bills are still a thousand dollars a month, and now we have a solar payment.Business Response

We have sent a technician out to check and fix the homeowners system on both 8/15/24 and 12/5/24. We have been remotely monitoring the system and it is producing normally per their contract. We have been in contact with the homeowner throughout the process.Customer Answer
Date: 01/09/2025
We were also monitoring our solar system on the app they use. But our bills did not show that it was working. It took four months to get them to return and fix it, and we still don't know if it's fixed correctly. So I have nearly a thousands of dollars in bills that I should not have had.Business Response
Date: 01/10/2025
The solar system has been producing according to the install agreement since the date of install. The bills the homeowner received from the utility company are for energy they used in excess of what the solar system has produced. The system continues to produce as outlined in the install agreement and will continue to be remotely monitored to ensure that it is functioning properly.Customer Answer
Date: 01/12/2025
They monitored the app and Solar was producing but it was not communicating with our meter. So we were not benefiting. We have the bills to prove the solar was not benefiting us. The power bills did not change after solar was installed. They were high as ever.Initial Complaint

On 7/16/24, I contracted with Vantage Solar LLC to install a six panel solar system for $7,440.00. I paid $3720.00 as a deposit. The contract stated that they would install the unit within 5 - 7 days of the contract signing. However, I waited two months and they finally set an install date but did not show up and they would not answer my emails or phone calls. Since that time *** has removed my solar meter from my other system until Vantage completes the work. Finally, on September 13, 2024, Vantage sent a crew and they install some of the solar components but not all. They said they would return but never have and they have failed to notify me when they will complete the job. It is costing me money every time the fail to show up and I am loosing money from loss of production of my other unit with the meter gone.Business Response
Date: 01/09/2025
The solar installation was completed on 10/8/24. The utility granted the permission to operate on 10/24/24. One of our technicians activated both the existing and new systems on 10/26/24. We have responded to all communication with the homeowner and he verified that he was satisfied with the work.Customer Answer
Date: 01/14/2025
After reading their response, I would like to state that the
installation crew was very good but the scheduling department avoided my email questions and failed to schedule the final installation several times costing my several hundred dollars in lost production from my other unit that had to be shut down until they finished my new unit. I tried several times to get their support people to act but they were the worst I ever saw. Also, I could not contact any of the higher up peop0le to complain .
Also, the system is not finished. They have not installed the antenna that allowes me to monitor the system online and they will not informe me as to the type of antenna needed so I can install it.
I just want everyone to know what a raw deal I got with this company.
Thank you,

I purchased a home that came with Vantage Solar panels installed. I have taken over the loan payment but nobody can provide me with any information about the panels - such as their production rate. I am also unable to have the warranty transferred over to me and the previous home owner still holds the contract because there was a no transfer agreement - I would like to talk to vantage solar about this. I have spent so many hours trying to find contact information for Vantage solar - and there is NONE. Even the phone number listed on this site is for "Vantage Home Solar" a different company.Business Response

I signed up with Vantage Home Solar company on 6/14/2024. Since than I can not get in touch with my sales person, referrals he promised never provided, phone calls and messages never answered..Its been 45 days, I have no action going on. I would like to other people know this before they sign up.Business Response

Our office staff were in contact with the homeowner during the process but the project was not installed or completed.Customer Answer
Date: 01/10/2025
The reason why system were never installed because they did not provide referrals as agreed. I wanted to see and talk to couple of satisfied homeowners in my area, they said "sure!". That was the last time I heard from my salesman. His assistant returned my call and assured me she would pass the info, however I never heard from him. 3 weeks later roofer showed up but I didn't let them start to do anything since Vantage never fullfiled their part. Never heard from them again. A week ago APS called me and informed me that my application is expired.Business Response
Date: 01/20/2025
We apologize for not hearing back from your energy consultant on those referrals. We will reach out to him to advise him of this. With the expiring of the APS application, the project is no longer active.Customer Answer
Date: 01/21/2025
My *** application expired, my solar system not installed all because I ask references and sales person agreed. After that I never heard from him again.
Is this the kind of business Vantage Home does, to leave people hanging even before started ??
Very much dissatisfied...

Recently my company had started redirecting a whole host of calls. I had received over 30 calls in less than 4 hours. So I played out the call to see who the final contact was. Its vantage home. Its ridiculous Your lead generation called my business that many times. Its ridiculous they never took me off the list. Your company committed a crime when they contacted us as we are in the federal do not call listBusiness Response

We have a "Consumer Certificate of Completion," which bears my electronic signature, dated 1/15/24; however, although it appears the solar unit is installed (as of 3/14/24), it has never been turned on. We have tried numerous times -- all unsuccessfully -- to call and email *********************** and Vantage Solar. In my opinion, there is no reason to wait this long for the activation. I want it completely removed as soon as possible. We are not paying back a loan for something that is not operational. We have been told several times that a technician is coming, but no one ever comes. If the company cannot even turn on the unit, I have no faith that someone will show up to repair a possible problem.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
Vantage Solar wants to apologize for the delayed response while we gathered more information about this case.
I looked into this further and found our records show our operations manager has been working directly with *********************************.
We've issued reimbursement for the months she believes her solar wasn't working as it should.
We strive to provide excellent customer service in a timely manner, and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions, concerns, or comments.

Thank you for your response of July 19. We have delayed our reply since our family is in the midst of several heart surgeries. However, our friend has been in touch with Vantage Solar at least twice a week. Last week we received still another bill from TEP and we finally received a solar credit of $8.91. We wrongly assumed that the unit that was installed was adequate to cover our electric bill, but we still owe TEP more than our normal billing amount prior to installation. We talked to *** last week and she was supposed to call back with a repair date. We will call again today. We also asked about the restitution that **** ******** mentioned, and have not received it. We have never received a call back from Vantage Solar, and it is only from our weekly calls to them, that we try to make any progress. We continue to receive daily calls from the finance company for payment of bills while the service was not yet activated. See below for Comments on this case. This is not resolved. If there is another email address that will accept attachments, we will be happy to send the copies of letters sent to them by registered mail and email. We're counting on you for your help. Thank you See below. July 24, 2024 Re: ID # ********- ********************** Thank you for letting us know that Vantage Solar has been in communication with you. This issue has not been resolved, and your email was the first notice that it had received any attention. **** says that, We've issued reimbursement for the months she believes her solar wasn't working as it should. As of today, no reimbursement has been received, no contact has been made with us. The reason the solar wasnt working as it should, was because it was NOT activated, until at least 3 months after it was installed and bills were paid to the finance company, while we still paid TEP as well. See further developments below about defective equipment. I am attaching the registered letters that were sent to *** ********, ***** *******, and Finance Manager, ***** Traashl. ***** also received the info through email. We have not had any contact with ****, another new piece in this comedy of errors. Since we do not have any contact info with ****, could you please verify when the settlement was sent, because as of today, we have not received a settlement. Today we talked to *** about their July bill of $145.45. They said that $8.91 had been credited to the account because of the solar generated. Since the $29,000 Vantage Solar system was planned to cover the entire bill, it seems obvious that the system is not working properly. So, what is our next step? Do we need to call the repair numbers or is that something that Vantage headquarters can take care of this? Thus, please add another $145.45 to our previous claims. We will submit a separate billing for the time our representative is spending on this matter. Each week calls are made to Vantage Solar, and promises are made by them. In addition, we are the victim of 2-3 calls/week from the finance company for late payments. Maybe most people are able to make payments to *** AND the finance company, but we are one of the few who dont have that luxury. We also have asked at least three times about documentation for tax credit for 2025, but no reply there either. We have been repeatedly been promised a link to the app, so that we don't have to traipse out into the 100+ degree Tucson weather to see if the meter is working. This is not resolved and the link has not been received. Because of the duplicate billing, our credit is now in jeopardy. We asked for some documentation to add to our credit report. That has not been received either. Really, we didnt expect to have to spent a good part of every week, trying to seek restitution, and the time that has been stolen from us is very annoying, especially since it interferes with several health problems and heart procedures. As you can see, there is much to be resolved, and we would appreciate your help and guidance. ******* *********

We sent one of our technicians out on 8/10/24 and 9/19/24. The technician determined that the system was producing normally according to their install agreement. An additional monitoring antenna was installed to improve remote monitoring. We sent the homeowners the login to monitor their solar system on 9/19/24. As of today, the system continues to produce normally according to the production outlined in the install agreement.

Thank you for your update on our five-month-old Complaint ******** updated September 19, 2024. This complaint is not resolved.
After activation, our TEP monthly solar credits have never reached 100%, and average 14%.January 2025, supposedly a higher-return month, showed a 19% credit.
We are awaiting a response from our ******************************** consumer complaint regarding predatory practices, fraudulent promises, and neglectful responses from Vantage.
The extra energy cost of $107.63 each month for solar means we continue to pay 85% of our electric bill. Not a savvy move? **** will the promises be honored?
We relied upon the expertise of *** ********, who said that our only electric payments would be for solar, and the *** **** would be covered with the panels that were installed in November 2023, and finally activated in March 2024. The units installed are insufficient to honor Bens promises. Please remove this unit, payoff the $29,000 bill and return our overpayments.
We are counting on you to protect unsuspecting citizens and hope that you will share this warning.
With hope,
*. *********Initial Complaint

Starting 07-18-2023 I signed a contract with Vantage Solar to have solar panels installed on my residence. Panels were install end of the year but never hooked up. I have contacted **** ********* (sales person) and Cloe (Vantage employee) multiple times about getting the solar panels hooked up but all I get is they are working on it. As of May 1, 2024 my solar panels are still not hooked up and the now say they have to replace the pedestal because the installer says it is not a 100amp pedestal. *** says it is. Also **** ********* owes a $500.00 referral to me for referring **** ****** (who is up and running on solar). **** does not answer his phone or texts. I am already paying on a loan I took out through Vantage for a incomplete solar system.Business Response

Vantage Solar wants to apologize for the delayed response while we gathered more information about this case.
I looked into this further and found our records show we were able to do a meter socket adapter instead of replacing the pedestal.
We submitted the revised plans to the city and had to wait for the city to approve them, have the system inspected, and then submit for permission to operate.
We received permission to operate his system and it was activated on 7/15.

I still am not satisfied. They put holes in my siding from when they initially installed the inverter and meter box on the side of my park model. Then the city told them they had to mount on a h-frame. They left the holes with out doing any repairs. I was also promised a $500.00 referral fee from **** ******** and never got it. My son the same thing. **** won't even return my calls or texts. The initial contracts for this install was signed 6/15/2023 and the system was finally up and running 7/15/2024. This was a year of lack of communication from Vantage on this installation.Business Response

We worked with the homeowner and his utility company to go a different route than swapping out his pedestal. The solar system passed final city inspection on 6/27/24 and we received the utility's permission to operate on 7/15/24. We activated and put the system in service the same day as receiving the permission to operate.Initial Complaint

On 1/30/24 entered into an agreement with Vantage Home aka Vantage Solar LLC and Solar Mosaic LLC to install and provide solar energy to my residence. One of the last pending items we have been waiting on the jurisdiction for is a final inspection.
We have previously relayed to ****** that his final inspection for his solar project is this week after which we will have a representative stop by and assist with his system activation.
