    Dear *******,

As we explained before, we were called out by the City of ************************ to secure the property after the fire took place as they cannot leave the property in the unsafe conditions it was in. We were told by your ex-partner, *******, that the fire department contacted you, and you were aware that a company had been called out to board up the property to temporarily secure it. At that time, you being the homeowner had the right to decline the services being provided which was not done. We offered and applied a discount to the invoice and have since reached out multiple times to follow up, leaving several voicemails with no response.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/23/2024

On September 12, 2024 the fireman contacted the owner informing him ONLY about the fire damage to his home.

There was no conversation about calling any company for securing the property. The owner knew how to make the boarding himself.

The Kowalski Company charges excessive prices for their service not having any written contract with the owner.  NO AUTHORISATION HAS BEEN GIVEN BY THE OWNER FOR THIS SERVICE.

******* told us on 11/07 that ******* was  aware we were on our way the night of the fire to the property to temporarily secure it. We also explained to her that our pricing is industry standard pricing and customary and the system we use is the industry standard used with most major insurance companies nationally throughout the **. When we spoke on 11/05, We also let you know we could deviate from the industry standard 4 month billing and  remove the fence 2 months early to help reduce the cost, which we did, reducing  the invoice by $481.20. Additionally **** stated she would speak to upper management to see what discount we could provide and call you back, which we have tried several times to get in contact with you to discuss the discount, leaving serval voicemails requesting a call back but to date, have received no response. We spoke to ******* on 11/07, and we let her know that we could provide an additional $500 discount, and were told that she wanted an additional $731.18 discount which we let her know we could not provide. After that conversation we have left you 3 more voicemails letting you know that we would apply another additional discount of $500 if paid by that week. We have offered a total of $1,000 discount, and again have not received any reply. We believe we have tried in good faith to try to reach an amicable settlement with you but don't feel there is anymore we can do under the cirucumstances.

The response will be send on December 4, 2024 in the form of emails with attachments to: BBB - to Mrs. ****** ******* and to the Kowalski company.
