09.26.2024 I was charged $198.44 after returning a rental car (09.23.2024) and told there was a nail in the tire. The car was damaged when I took it off the lot. The windshield was cracked and there were deep scratches in several places on the vehicle. I reported to Carzi immediately and was told to take pictures and send it to them so I wouldnt be charged. How do any of us know when (if) the tire was damaged. There was never any indication that any tire was damaged when I had the car. It only cost $104 to rent the car so the tire costed more than the rental? It couldnt be patched? I reached out to Carzi -they only conduct business via text and they stopped responding when I questioned the validity of the claim. Never responded to my email. I never heard of this company felt it was shady when they failed to disclose the damages on the car when I picked it up, so I also took a video of the vehicle when I returned the car and unfortunately got everything but the tire they say was damaged. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with CARZI/EVERDAY DRIVERS during my recent trip to ******* on May 25, 2024. As a family visiting the area, we expected a pleasant journey, but unfortunately, our encounter with CARZI turned into a distressing ordeal.Unprofessional *********************** (using text service only) displayed rude & unprofessional behaviour.The provided car was not what I paid for Misuse of Customers' Personal Information(PII):I paid in full, including insurance and a security deposit, using my credit card. CARZIs handling of my personal information feels like a breach of trust.The entire chat with ****** occurred outside the airport premises, yet she exhibited condescending behaviour.Threats and Harassment:To my surprise, she/they then sent this threatening message below: "Youre welcome to return your vehicle and rent elsewhere if you're unsatisfied. Youll receive no refund for your reservation. However, the following has been remitted regarding your purchase and customer profile. -Restricting you from booking with us in the future as well as with any in our affiliate networks. -Reporting you to the card networks for terms of service breach. -A formal complaint has been filed on u to the *** as a problematic traveler. -Good day Further messages will go unread. Please read ur return instructions and get it right.******/CARZIs unwarranted threats deeply concerned me as a law-abiding citizen.CARZIs failure to address these issues promptly reflects poorly on the organization.The service was paid in full, including an initial charge of $533.89, an additional $59.50, a $68.97 insurance charge, a $271 charge for the car, and a $400 security deposit on my card. Having worked in the tech industry for over 12 years, I understand the importance of safeguarding customer information. May 3, 2024 I entered into a rental car agreement with *****, paid ****** and I signed the terms and agreement. I later received a notice from my bank stating that ***** had attempted to charge my card for an additional ****** dollars. I denied the charge and reached out to ***** to discuss the discrepancy. I ended up speaking to a manger who stated that they will just waive the deposit. After I agreed they asked if I would like to be carried to my car, given a foot message, and have the red carpet rolled out. I asked if this was real? They stated yes. Then the manager mentioned that I wanted something for nothing, in addition they stated you have a nice debit card. After receiving these messages I immediately checked my bank account that was in fact debited for ****** dollars. I immediately responded stating that they said they would waive the deposit and that this charge was unauthorized/ illegal. I stated I would not be renting with them or picking up the vehicle. I have not received a response to my message. This message exchange took place on 5/7/24 between the time of 5:45pm - 6:11pm. Message exchange provided in supporting documents. Terms and agreements I signed for are provided in supporting documents. I am seeking a full reimbursement of all funds debited from my account in the amount of $581.53.Initial Complaint

I rented a car from Carzi (via Kayak) from April 22nd to April 29th. On Friday April 26th I was stopped and put under arrest by the police because the car had been reported stolen. The car was towed by the police that same Friday. I tried to call the car rental company multiple times, but they didnt answer, and would only communicate via text. Via text I was told that I should go pick up the car to the police towing company even though I am not the owner. I refused. I went to the police station and they told me that I have no responsibility with them if the car was reported as stolen. The car company has not tried to contact me since then.I am reporting the amount paid for the car, which totaled $283.79. I cancelled the credit card and requested a new one, not knowing what else could happen. When I was put under arrest, the police gave me a case number #*******. I am not looking for compensation, but I need to know my rights and my responsibility with this issue. I paid for a rental car. Upon my arrival to ********* received a message that additional documentation was required. I obtained the documentation within the allotted time but the company refused to provide me with the rental car. They would not pick up the phone and stopped responding to my text messages. I booked a car with Carwiz. When I arrived to pick it up at 10:05 pm on 12/10/23 , it was not available. I reached out numerous ways and times through email and text to the company. The attendant needed a row and parking spot to take me to the car. The correspondence said it was a no contact rental company. I believed this to mean staff would be available at any time to help. In the email sent originally, it stated that I could grab the carzi car the day of arrival. Directions were vague. I was able to recheck by 11:00pm, but no return email was sent so that I could acquire the car that night. I tried to make contact until 11:30pm. After repeated failure, I called an Uber. I arrived at my parents home at 12:45 am the next morning. The reason I booked the rental is my father has a medical situation that makes driving a struggle- he had just been hospitalized for 5 days and I was coming to help. I shared much of this via text the next morning after I finally received an email with pick up instructions a day late. They said it was because I submitted it during non business hours. They said a cancellation needed to be done 48 hours in advance. I explained much of what I am explaining but to no avail. They have not responded. I would need to Uber back to pick it up at this point and that defeated the rental purpose.Initial Complaint

We were charged $172.56 on May 4th of 2023 (accurate to receipt). They are telling ** they are going to charge ** and there is no receipt and we dont know how much we are being charged yet. They had a $400 deposit hold on my account for the 5 days we had the car and we were given back the full $400 on May 9th, the day we returned the car. 2 days later May 11th, I received an email saying I violated a contract and went over the miles I was allowed. The contract they showed me is VOID and very incorrect from what I originally signed and the times were re-edited. They are saying I went over the mileage allowed to me given by days. I had the car in my possession from May 4th at 8:49am - May 9th at 2:55pm *** time. I had the car booked from May 4th at 8am - May 9th at 3:30am on my reservation you can see that in my recipe attached. I contacted them via text prior to getting the car saying the reservation was a typo and it needs to say 3:30pm (not am) they confirmed with me over text that the am to pm was updated. On May the 4th, They did not have a car for me when I arrived at 8am on and had ** wait for one to be available to **. After waiting they offered ** a car that we did not originally pay for. We were put into a situation where we were either stranded to figure something else out or take the Camry, when we really paid for a mini SUV. They held the $400 deposit from before 8:00am. Returning the car I new we were allowed 100 miles a day and given we had the car from May 4th 8:49am - May 9th 2:55pm thats 532 mile roughly that we should have been granted. But no they are saying we were only allowed 400 miles and they are saying we owe money when there is no receipt or accurate invoice explaining how much we owe and why. It feels like a scam, they are following what they told me in text messages (which is their only form of communication other than emails). I should owe $80 if my math is right. My dad handled booking a rental car for me through Carzi. When I arrived, I had multiple text messages telling me that the security deposit was invalid since the name on-card did not match the name of the renter. The reservation was cancelled, and they said it was non-refundable. I work in a secure government facility and dont have access to my phone at all times, and the messages claimed to have also sent an email (none were received). The customer service representative scolded me multiple times (have messages to prove, he called me a moron and refused to help me until I mentioned that I dont always have access to my phone). Anybody with access to the websites software could easily prevent the customer from continuing with their deposit if the names dont match (I could do this in less than 5 minutes), given that this is company policy. Their reviews online report multiple issues similar to this, along with what appear to be other intentionally misleading aggressive cancellation policies, refusal of customer service, and harassment from the owner for leaving negative reviews.Initial Complaint

10/20/2022 @ 2:34 PM I tried getting a rental that I was being charged way too much for, I asked for a refund minutes after swiping my card and they said no.They said some cars are refundable and some are not, which is not fair. They we're literally trying to take all my money. No one ever answers the phone and even though you asked for a refund 10 minutes later, they refuse to work with you.I truly believe these people are a scam and they take peoples money. I have attempted to make a reservation in this company for a free mileage car and once reservation was completed it show as 300 mileage total. I received the email confirmation saying that had miles stipulation which was not what I reserved. I called the company immediately after within about 30 minutes after reservation and try to speak with someone, they do not answer the phone you can only talk to someone by text which was very shady to start. I explained what happened and requested an immediate cancelation of that reservation and they said they do not accept cancelation and that was the policy. Even after I explain what happen they did not accept the cancelation and threat me with a fine of $250 on top of the charge for something I never requested. I need this to be reported this as misleading company trying to scan costumers and threatening costumers and need my money to be refunded.
