Horrible school. I had special accommodations and AC was giving me great issues! Theres absolutely no communication they took **** and failed me in a course that they know I was fleeing a domestic abuser! They never even made me aware of the funds they were taking from my financial aid. The higher *** in the school dont give 2 craps about the students they have absolutely no help for the students. Its a mess down to the professor have even said the school is a joke!!!!!!

I had a great experience up until I only had 4 classes left. DOC 723 class was grueling with little help or feedback. My first attempt almost everybody in the class was redoing it and now I'm on my second attempt and once again almost everybody in the class is re-taking it. Not one single person passed in my first attempt. Being a college professor at a proprietary school I chose University of Phoenix for the flexibility along with the willingness to help students. I was highly disappointed in a failing grade as I had never received anything underneath minus in the last five years of my college education through University of Phoenix. I feel as though there should be more help available in this specific class and that the fail rate is probably below the national standard of what it should be in this class. The changing of my dissertation chair four times did not help the situation as each one wanted different requirements. I really hope that this class is looked at specifically from an academic leadership standpoint and is addressed appropriately.

After speaking with the enrollment person, I was told I had to put my credit card information into the system for them to continue to evaluate my transfer credits. I was pending that evaluation and never heard back from them. I left it as they didn't want me as a student and moved on. Five months later, I got a charge on my credit card for upcoming courses I never selected. I never even agreed to a program of study. NEVER give the UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX a credit card before you have all the other documentation and agree to a program of study or courses being selected. I now have to go through the process to get it fixed. RUN, don't walk away from UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX.

I started business marketing in July online all we needed was basic information to sign up and start school, no tax form or no high school scores none of that. Fast forward a couple months *** makes the news for misleading ads and whatever, I was three courses in and a few months from finishing and out of nowhere UOP stops financial aid. Now they get the bright idea to ask for tax forms, high school credits, household size etc. I honestly believe this school is a scam why let me get so close to being done then stop everything and ask for the information that should have been required when I signed up. Now you guys drop my courses and stopped my financial aid because I dont meet the new requirements I just find it crazy you guys lie about working with major companies for job opportunities and have to forgive a certain amount of money now you guys try to back and do things legitimately I guess. I see why graduation rate is 27% I would also highly recommend doing research on the school before applying.

I am a current student with 5 classes to finish. The University of Phoenix advised me in June that I can no longer receive financial aid due to falling below a 2.0 in 2021. I dropped a course that I was told that I could pick up after I am able to take a short break from school due to health issues with my child. When I filled out their appeal it came back that I needed to include a class I failed in 2016. After the appeal process and reaching out many times they put me in disqualification status and I was told I can no long ask for an appeal. Every time I asked what information I needed to include in the appeal, I was told to just apply what I have and they will tell me if it is approved. They did not tell me there was a *** on how many times I can apply for the appeal. After being disqualified for financial aid I was told I could take a 6 month break and come back with financial aid or I can transfer to a different school. After going on the 6 month break, the financial aid department advised me that they never told me that and I would have to pay $1364 per class. I have asked numerous times for the contact information to speak with the **** and each time I am told that I can not speak with the ****. Now I am not able to finish school because I will not graduate by March of ****. This has caused me panic attacks and stress. I am out almost $50,000 and nothing to show for it. I have worked hard with school especially being a single mother of 2 and working full time. My heart is shattered. I was sold a dream and when it came close to finishing, it was taken from me. Every time I call its a different story and 3 to 4 hours on the phone daily. I am not sure what else to do or who else to contact. I cant change schools because that would be more or less starting over, and I wont have funding for it. Any help would be much appreciated.

absolutely relentless sales practices. They use autodialers to call you once you fill out a form on their website but dont leave messages and when you answer they hang up on you. I called and asked them to remove me from their calling list after 4 days of being called 4 times per day and they told me they can't remove me from their calling list unless I give them more of my information. How does that even make any sense? Absolute scam business practice!

I read in a few other reviews about how this school does not care about you and thats a very true statement. I began mulling the idea of college last winter and decided to go for it I applied for my fafsa the beginning of June and it was approved within a couple days so they wanted me to get my classes started which I did Im now in my third week of classes and I still have no financial aid because they claim that they are still processing how much I need. They say they cannot tell me if Ill even be eligible for enough to cover my classes and now I found out that Im responsible for almost a thousand dollars for the class Ive already started if for some reason financial aid falls through. Their advisors are completely inadequate Im pretty sure by the background noise Ive heard a few times they are nothing more than work at home customer service people that dont really know much about the school. If your thinking about going to college please dont go here.

This school does not care about you, or your education. They care about your money and what money you can borrow. I left a large amount available to me unclaimed from my student loans and they called me constantly, wanting me to go on and accept all the funds. Then they said I would not get the balance sent to me even though I made sure my class costs were covered. I got so sick of it, I withdrew from the University and they had to cancel and return my loans. My pell ***** covered what I owed at that point and I have the receipts showing everything was paid. Now they have come up with about five hundred dollars I am going to owe. They just want money, and the financial "counselors" they have are obviously trained to talk in circles and confuse. DO NOT GIVE THIS "SCHOOL" YOUR MONEY. I have not received a bill for anything owed yet.

Bad deceptive instructors at the university of Phoenix and the board in charge are twice as bad because they let instructors get away with this! My issue is not a failing grade but the grade less than what I had the potential to earn was received this was because the instructor failed to communicate, failed to be transparent, and failed to be accountable and responsible to me the paying student! The syllabus online reflected differently that what the pdf printed syllabus said since I was an online student I went by the syllabus online only to given zeros for practice questions all the weeks of the course never being told that these practice questions were to be turned in for grades as the syllabus did not reflect that they were to be! She waited until the final week to say oh by the way your questions were not submitted for weeks 1 thru 6 so you have 0 for that assignment! There was nothing marked due as far as those practice questions were concerned neither was there an asterisk like the other assignments to be submitted what gets me booking is that I had a 96 average the final week until the battle axe posted zeros for each week! Then I did a rebuttal in which I was blamed for the issue of the assignment not being completed! I took this up with the board of the school and they of course sided with the instructor! So if you are out there wanting a masters degree even your undergraduate degree do not go to a for profit school and if you do make sure you look at the reviews for the instructors and the complaints! All I wanted to do is knock out these last classes for my MBA but its a done deal I am never attending University of Phoenix again and no its not just of this b**** a** instructor its them allowing deceptive practices to be pushed upon students due to misinformation as far as assignments and grading! You cant have it both ways university of Phoenix! If you have an online student then the syllabus should be online not both having different information

I spoke to a guy named *** today in the financial department, ( I think its ********** or **********) he was absolutely awesome. I had been talking on the university of phoenix online chat to get assistance with a bill they said I owe, and I literally had this lady named ****** yesterday morning around 4:45am Mountain standard time on the online chat ( 05/11/2023) tell me "if I can't afford it, then she recommends I take a leave of absence, which is 180 days, and that will give me time to get the money to pay the bill." **** bill I do not owe)There was some kind of discrepancy because all my classes are paid for! This lady on chat had the nerve to tell me to take a leave of absence if I can't afford a bill that I do not owe. I'm only 6 courses away from graduating and all my classes are paid for and she has the nerve to tell me this! She also told me when the course I am currently attending finishes in 2 weeks, they are going to suspend any further courses (which are paid for) and I cannot attend the rest of my courses until I pay the balance, which I have already paid for all my courses! Can you imagine the anxiety I felt! I called in today which is now the day after I spoke to the lady ****** on the chat (think that was her name) and spoke with a gentleman from financial department named ***, I think he said ****************, something like that, this guy did an exceptional job! He actually took his time to do his job and help me. Not only that, but he also showed empathy! I would love to have someone like him on my team if I was in charge! He would be the first one I would pick to be on my team. His willingness to help and empathy were above and beyond, not to mention he made me feel so much better after the call was over, I know longer had the anxiety the online rep from the day before gave me! Thank You ***! I really hope this gets back to your sup because you deserve the world! Thank You so much ***!
