I spent over 90 minutes on hold yesterday before trying again today. After 30 minutes on hold, it rang as if Id finally reached a service **** then hung up on me! Nothing to do with the lab testing. Their customer service over the phone is ridiculous. I paid my bill in full now months later theyre saying my insurance was taken off and that i owe 1k+. Im trying to call and update my insurance and I cant even talk to a representative because ive been on hold for over an hour. They need to get some new employees, its ridiculous that my bill may go to collections and s**** up my credit because I cant talk to anybody.Sonora Quest Laboratories LLC Response

You may update your insurance information online by going to ****************************************************. "Click" Patient, then scroll down to "Billing and Insurance" "Click" "Update Insurance". You will need the patient's date of birth and the associated accession number, ex: NL12345678. You will then be able to update insurance information or update patient data.Review from Kelly W

Billing practices are a farce. They don't accept co-payments at my doctors office where the labs are drawn. I don't receive a call, text, paper bill, or email bill. I have been sent to collections twice after trying to pay my bill over and over again. Sonora doesn't answer phones, nor does the collection agency. I'M JUST TRYING TO PAY MY BILL! This has lowered my credit score and caused resulting increases in other bills because of it. I am going to have to find another doctor and use ********. Why does Sonora Quest Labs have such horrible reviews? This could a high risk for someone to get the blood results mixed up with someone else. These facilities need to be investigated. Out of 100%, about 95% of people have serious complaints. Reading the reviews Sonora should be rated a zero.Review from Patricia H

I had a very unwelcome surprise at Sonora Quest Labs in ******, ******* today. I arrived for my appointment ON TIME. There is no longer anyone at the front desk to check in with, and their electronic system did not work (it hasn't worked for some time.) Someone came from the back office and helped me check in. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time and was finally called into a room. The plebotomist did not greet me in any way, no hello, no good morning, and when I told him I forgot my lab order he snapped at me. I told him the ordering doctor's name, and that it's the same lab order I always get from that doctor over the past two decades. He did not find it on the computer and would not call the doctor's office to get it. Sent me home instead. In the past the front desk person got on the computer and pulled up the order, or called the doctor's office. But not today since Sonora Quest has taken the humnanity out of their operation and is now going completely automated without the bother of seeing or speaking to a patient. After probably 40 visits to that Sonora Quest over the years, I'll go somewhere else from now on, some place that is glad to see me as well as glad to take my money.Review from Chris M

Sonoran Quest labs has Horrible Billing. I do self pay for tests. Always have. For self pay it is usually about a 25% discount. I called in to verify this. Got the amount and paid it. After about a month, I received another bill. I tried to call in and the system hung up on me even though it was well within business hours. I wrote in on the bill stating when I had called and that I had not arrived at the amount I had paid on my own. Well...I just received another bill. I am going to tell my primary car physician that I will no longer be getting annual testing because this nonsense happens every time. I'm in great health but this kind of c*** is a waste of my time. There has to be another option than SQL. I am currently waiting for a call back and the automated system said 11 minutes. Last time they never called back.Review from Matthew P

Retired military veteran and wife on ******** and Tricare for Life only time in 13 years we have ever been billed extra for Blood Work! Our ********** switched to this obviously ****************!! Ridiculous! Thanks for my serviceReview from Jill F

It has been 16 days and I still do not have my lab results, which have a turnaround time of 4 to 6 days. I've already rescheduled my doctor appointment once. Now my appointment is today and still no results. I'm a teacher, so I've taken a day off, scheduled a substitute teacher, and written my substitute plans. It's a major hassle to take a day off when you're a teacher. I will have to pay for this doctor visit and not be able to get the answers that I've scheduled the appointment for. This is unacceptable. It took 2 hours to get the bloodwork done to begin with. In addition, they didn't say anything upon check in that one test was time sensitive, and therefore due to the wait, I missed the time cut off for the test. I had to then schedule another time to have that test done, and had to miss more work. I will never use this lab again. This has been such a hassle.Review from PHIL L

About 10 years ago I received a lab bill that was about $500. I checked prices with other labs in the ************** and found that the cost of the same labs should have been about 50% of what I was being billed. I wrote a letter of complaint and stating that I was enclosing my check for Half of what they had billed explaining that the charges were twice as much as they should reasonably be. My letter presented the check as PAYMENT IN FULL. Payment in full was written clearly on my check including language on that back that said negotiation of my check constituted payment in full. My check was accepted and cleared my bank. For years I have heard nothing. Recently starting in 2021 when I went in for another blood draw, I was presented with a bill for the alleged remainder owed. I have told each and every person that presented that old stale bill that is beyond any statute of limitations this story and that I do not owe anything. Today, before a blood draw I was presented that old "bill" and told that unless I paid it today they would not draw my blood and perform lab service. When I told the lab person I do not owe the bill I was told to leave and that I am not welcome back. I am retired and covered by ******** and a Supplement. I left very upset at being treated like a deadbeat which I am not. I used my telephone to find a nearby Lab and had my blood draw done by a very pleasant person. I will not ever consider going back to Sonora Quest. You should read all the other reviews here and go elsewhere.Review from Troy E

Has to be the worst lab in the country. 5 yrs ago I got a bad blood draw from them and my arm is permanently messed up. Now my insurance is trying to make me go back there. I went back for an in home test. They argued with my ************ about who was to do the prior auth. After they finally figured out it was them, the specimens went bad supposedly. I went back to the same place and they refused to help me. They said they "don't do those tests" and I have to go to my *** would I leave now? I asked why I could do it 2 weeks earlier? No response - just leave. THE WORST employees on the planet. So rude. A disgusting place that should be shut down.
