This company has defrauded many consumers out of thousands of dollars and I am one of them! It has been over 10 years and they have not followed through with producing a vehicle. I just want my $1,000 returned to me so that I can go on with my life! I have reached out to the company by email several times because they dont have a number that you can actually call and talk to someone. They have misrepresented who they are and their intentions. Provided Elio Motors a non-refundable deposit of $100 to deliver a new **** Car 10 years ago. The company has shown no intention of delivering a vehicle and scamming a least ****** others for their deposits. In 2014 I paid a deposit on an **** Automobile. They kept pushing the date back, many years and have never delivered. Most recent estimate was end of 2022. The Reservation website that was available for us to see you deposit and information was taken down many years ago and they have not sent out an email to me or others on an update since 2014 or 2015. They have taken Millions in deposit money and still almost 9 years later still not delivered on a vehicle. Now they are taking new deposits and such on an Electric version of the vehicle and still haven't completed the Gas version. They should have a website where we can login and view our reservation, the link should be on their website clearly displayed so we can login to it. They should also be sending at least Yearly, but preferred would be at least twice a year or even monthly.Initial Complaint

I made a reservation to purchase a vehicle in the year 2013. I was promised a spot in line for a price and a type of vehicle. I have been waiting all this years and they have not started production. They are now promoting the same vehicle but electric with a much higher price tag. Also, the price I agreed on the first gas vehicle is higher too. I realize that my deposit agreement is not refundable but after so many years and changes I should be able to get a refund. This is a scam. They should not be taking money from people and disappear. Between my deposit and purchase of stock in 2014 in this criminal rip-off I have $4,600 tied up! Their stock is worth nothing! They have be promising and promising! They have yet to deliver anything! They are now pushing an electric version. If they have the finances to build electric prototypes they need to refund all the early investors before being allowed to proceed with another product. They don't reply to emails and there is no functioning phone for them! All the early investors should get their money back with a penalty on top of whats been stolen!Initial Complaint

In May 2015, I learned about Elio Motors having a 3-wheeled vehicle that was entering production and would get approximately 84mpg and would be selling for approximately $7,500. I put down a deposit of $1,000 and added $100 to that deposit a few months later. After determining that there were delays in production, I contacted Elio Motors and was told that the car would enter production in 2016. I have been informed of this for the past 6 years. The website no longer has a customer log in to check on production. I have not had any response to my requests for information over the past several months. I requested a refund of my $1,100 since it has been over 7 years and there are no cars in production and have not received any response whatsoever. I never received an invoice or any other information. My address at the time of the deposit was ********************************************************. Since that time, I have moved and now reside at ***********************************************************. This company obviously had no intention of ever following through with their delivery of vehicles. They have been fined and are several million dollars in debt. I would like to resolve this and have the $1,100 returned to me.Thank you,*****************************
