I was sold a defective vehicle from Showcase Honda in which I put $5,000 down. After filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, *********************** said he had the transaction reversed and I would receive a full refund. He said I would be issued a refund on Thursday October 28th, 2021. It is currently Thursday November 4th and I still do not have the $5,000 refunded in my bank account. This has created hardship as I am trying to get my wife a car so that she can go to school. *********************** said that the money should be in my account by Monday November 1st or Tuesday November 2nd and it is November 4th and the $5,000 is still not refunded to me. I have called several times this week and keep getting bounced to other people who bounce me to someone else who does not answer. I have left several voicemails in regards to this refund and no one has called me back to update me on the status of the refund.Business response

Good afternoon - my records indicate that the vehicle purchase transaction has been voided and the customer received a full refund of his down payment of $5000. Refund check was issued on 10/29/21 ck#****** and our banking records show the check has been cashed as of 11/8/21.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I would like to add that if the check was issued on 10/29, then why did no one notify me of this? I tried to get an answer all week and no one told me that the check was ready. No one called me or left a message to pick up the check. It was not until 11/4 when I finally got a hold of someone and they told me the check was with reception and then I seen the check was dated for October. I do not think that was fair or professional of them.

My partner and I bought a car at this dealership around 8 weeks ago. At the time of purchase, the tire pressure light was on and the dealership insisted that the censor was broken and recommended that we take the car to Big * Tires to get the censor fixed. We did bring it there and it turned out that it wasn't the censor that was broken, but that two of the tires had huge gashes in them and we were told the car was unsafe to drive because of those tires and they couldn't believe the dealership let us drive away with them. We tried contacting the business multiple times at this time with no one answer or call back. A few weeks ago, the car was having problems while driving. We took it into the shop where we were informed that rats had been chewing at the wiring and that there was rat f**** in the engine. After a complete inspection it turns out that the cars transmission is no good and cannot be replaced and that the car has to be totaled. How can this company claim they do a thorough inspection on their cars only to sell us a car in this condition? It is unethical. We are out thousands of dollars and have no car. I think this is unacceptable of a business such as theirs.Business response

The issue is I sold my car to this dealership on July 5th. The dealership was supposed to overnight the payoff, and cut me an equity check within 10 business days. I happened to see the car was on their site for sale, yet i have not been paid. The dealership claims they will not pay until they receive the title, yet they car is for sale, and they do not have the title. Now when I called to inquire about the status, I was disrespected, I didn't receive any answers to the questions I asked. Now, this may effect MY credit. This procedure is totally unacceptable, and definitely doesn't appear to be a fair business practice. Please advise of what actions I can take. Thank youBusiness response

Good afternoon - according to my records, this vehicle was purchased on 7/5/21. The accounting department issued a check payable to the consumers bank to pay off the loan in full on 7/6/21 and the remaining proceeds were payable to the consumer. it looks like the original check to the lender was cancelled and re-issued on 7/26/21 and the consumer was issued their portion as well.
