Im following a complaint against ************************* apartment landlord there is a noise coming from the boiler. I have let them know three times that this is going on the first time they sent out a maintenance man by the name of ******. He looked at the boiler. Ill let him know when the noise was coming and he just flat out said they cannot fix it, no explanations or anything so I called the office and I have explained this to the lady that works at the front desk because the landlord has not called or gave an Explanation as to why they cannot fix it. I have let her know that it is loud. It is keeping me up at night, What ******* me off is that the fact that the landlord is not trying to be like well lets see if we can get somebody out here to see what it is or whats causing it. Its a no we cannot fix it. I am not keeping this apartment with plugs In my ears, this needs to be resolved, so I have to report this new landlord. I will gladly do it.Business Response

According to our regional manner. we have been in communication with you regarding this issue and have had three different companies assess the boiler. All have confirmed that the boiler is currently functioning properly, although the noise has presented as a challenging situation given the proximity of your apartment to the boiler room.We want to assure you that we are actively exploring solutions to address the noise concern. We are considering several options to resolve this issue. According to the property, our manager has been keeping you informed, and we will continue to do so as we work towards a resolution.

I moved in 7/5/2024 AC went out less than week later. I missed work bc I was coming home to check on my doggo. After 5 days the ac was fixed. I had asked for a portable AC. I have photos of the 90* temps on my thermostat. For 5 days the temp in my apt, was over 90* I dont know who owns this property, but ***********/assoc. manages it. I went to ********** APARTMENTS IN ****************. I filled out the application and was waiting to get approved and moved in. After about 4 days I reached out to then asking what was taking so long. They stated they were still running it and it would be a couple days more. That the would be in touch. I wanted and hot no response then course it's almost the weekend so no one reached out so Monday I reached out again what is taking so long am I approved or not cause I could have moved in or applied somewhere else . At this point 3 more days have passed and still no denial or approval. So I reach out and say withdrawal my application and refund me back my deposit minus the application fee. Finally I get a response and they say fine they mailed it out and I should be getting a check to my address I confirmed. (I have all conversation in text message saved for record) it's now past 10 business days still no check nor do they know if it was mailed out. They are teifts . They hope you for get and keep your money I should get my refund plus damanges . Bottom line they should be charged with a crime cause why did they take so long they probably messed or changed info in my applicationBusiness Response

My complaint is the poor management and conditions living at ********* Apartments in ******* *******. So many repairs not fixed including no AC and Heat during first year. On January 3rd, 2024 I applied for a unit at ******************* Apartments in *********, **. I paid $200 in administration fee and $50 for the application fee for a total of $250 paid. However I was denied without any explanation as to why. I was told that I would receive a refund of the administration fee in the amount of $200 within the next 30 days. However, it has been way past 30 days and I have not received my refund. I reached out to Tides on spring valley about an update regarding my refund and spoke to a lady named ******* who stated chamberlin + associates is now the new management company of said property. I have been advised to contact chamberlin + associates however they dont answer the phones or respond to emails. As of today, February 16th, 2024 I have yet to receive my refund of $200. I find it very unprofessional and inconsiderate to the consumer (me) that I have to go through all of this just to get my refund. I now have a new address that I need to provide and I would like this situation rectified ASAP as I do need my money! Thank you!Business Response

The application fee was $50 dollars and yes I know that it is non refundable. However, that is not what Im requesting to be refunded. In addition to the application fee I also paid an administration fee which was $250 which is refundable is your application gets denied. My application got denied. That is what Im requesting to be refunded to me. Again, The $250 for the administration fee that the company told me I would be receiving within a month. However, its has now been over a year and I have still not received those funds. When I contacted the company they stated they do not have access to my file anymore since the new management company took over. I contacted the new management company and they say the old company has to refund those funds to me. Each company keeps pointing the finger at the other saying to get my funds from them. I find it very unprofessional that I have to go through this. I also do believe that the new company should see my file that I applied and was denied. I sent in proof of documentation that I applied there and the unit I applied to the date and the amount that was paid. Someone needs to be held accountable and refund me my money. This has gone on for too long now and its not right.Business Response

Its Saturday morning. The website says youre open on Saturday. Im here with a U-Haul and no one is here calling on the phone indicates that youre closed on Saturdays. It wouldve been nice if someone had told me Im coming from ****** now Im going to have two more days in a hotel so before I can move in secondly, looking through the window of the apartment it is not been cleaned. I live in ******* at this complex, I have had an ongoing leak for a month now which caused and electrical fire in the outlet next to bathroom sink with water dripping down onto a night light, the dining room light comes on and off by itself and the bathroom hall light flickers. The breaker flips when I have my air fryer going in the kitchen, I have to unplug everything else in order to use my air fryer. They have sent maintenance twice but they do not fix anything, by the time I get home is leaking. This apartment is a death trap and a fire hazard, the office at the company does not seem to care to resolve the issue.Initial Complaint

Since August 18, 2023, water supply has intermittently been shut off do to repairs. The most recent shut off took place on Friday, 10/20/23 and that left residents with no water or plumbing for 3 full days. As of today, it has been 5 days without hot water. Aside from minimal communication and false promises to have hot water restored, the managements temporary solution is to allow residents to reserve a time in a vacant unit to shower themselves and their family. This poses a major health risk. Myself and other residents here are still expected to pay $200.00 towards monthly utility costs on top of base rent despite not having proper access to them. This management company continues either leave residents uninformed of the situation or promises that itll be fixed that business day.Initial Complaint

I lived in an apartment managed by chamberlin (****) and they are wrongfully withholding my security deposit. I lived in the complex for nearly 11 years, I was in my last until for over 12 years. 4 days after moving out I received an email with itemized charges for damages to my unit. Theres werent damages but normal wear and tear I am big financially responsible for per my lease and the landlord tenant act- over 450 for bed room carpet, 10 for missing vertical blinds and 200 for pain touch **** Not only are these normal wear and tear items, at the time of my move out there was an active leak that started in the bedroom closet dripping onto the vary carpet they are trying to charge me for which was photographed and reported to the office. I have sent at least 10 emails, filled out the contact form on the website, called and left messages, sent certified mail and have had zero response regarding my dispute from management.Ive attached the ledger they sent me via email as well as pictures of the water leaking onto the carpet and leak stains on the closet wall and condition of the carpet overall at time of move out.
