If Republic services tries to become the Trash ****************** in your area, prevent it. Prior to their unethical monopolization of *******************, residents had the ability to choose their trash collection service provider. Now to have the luxury of choice you have to pay them $11 a month to opt out of their *********************** writing this review as a current customer. For years I was more than satisfied with Gallegos for their trash removal service. Gallegos came on time every week and had fair pricing. Since Republic has taken over as the defacto trash collection service in ******************* everything has been a nightmare. They came and took my bins without replacing them. I am a paying customer, never late on my bills. It has been over a month now and I still have not had my bins replaced or trash picked up, it is now piling up. I have spoken with customer service twice about this and have been assured that they would pick-up my trash and drop off the bins, this has not happened. Today I will call a third time, not knowing whether or not this will be the time they do something about it. I am far from being the only one effected by this problem. In short, Republic is more expensive than previous providers, does not provide the service customers are paying for. **************** is unhelpful and the wait times are long. They have monopolized our town and permanently cut service to certain areas with little to no notice. Customers have to opt out and pay $11 a month to NOT USE their service, and on top of that they have laid off many employees hurting our neighbors and our town. There is no benefit to having Republic in your area, prevent them from entering your market if you can.I feel robbed, and the town is facing a public heatlh crisis due to the build-up of trash from their lack of service to the residents of the town. Trash is being dumped on the side of the road in areas here because people are desperate...Republic Services Inc Response

We signed up for recycling at our business in downtown ************ and they have missed our pickup every single time for the last 3 months. We demanded a refund and they continue to pass us around in circles and don't know how to handle customer service in a manner that is professional and efficient. We were told when and where to place our recycling bin and they just drive right past it. I have watched it happen. We have made several email and online complaints that get no where. My bill is over $200 and they only pick up twice a month. Im being charged more than $100 a pick up. Im also being charged gas fee pick up fee. Disposal fee. Cleaning fee. And dumpster rental. I keep having to call in every other month to get my bill readjusted and credit put back on to my account. This time their auto pay charged me $412. And when I called in to ask why they said it should have only been $212 yet they didnt credit or refund the money into my account. This has gone on for several years and every time I try to cancel they try to charge me over 3k to get out of the contract. And then wont give me a contract end date.Republic Services Inc Response

This company is a freaking JOKE! they charge me $50.00 and then refuse to pick up bulk trash EVEN with a scheduled request, they are charging me WAYYYYYY more than the other trash companies. And now since I cancelled LESS THAN 30 days after starting, they are charging me a pickup fee!!!! THIS IS BULL!Republic Services Inc Response

Signed up for their trash service, havent received any trash can in 3 weeks. Called customer service and my info is not on hand for them. They say once I get my cans, it wont be until another month that the service will start. Horrible service .Republic Services Inc Response

We were customers of ******** Sanitation for several years. We received an invoice that showed a past due balance from ******** that had already been paid. Unbeknownst to us, ******** sold to Republic. We started receiving notices and emails about the erroneous past due balance. We then talked to either by phone or emails to 4 different people from Republic about the issue. Two of these representatives were sent detailed copies of the invoices that clearly showed we did not owe the past due balance. Each person with which we discussed this issue stated they would get back with us. NO ONE EVER DID. I was even told that a supervisor would contact me--no contact was ever made. We then started receiving threatening collection notices from Coast to Coast Financial Solutions trying to collect the erroneous amount. Trash is not being picked up on scheduled dates. Ive had to call 4 times during the last 3 months. I dont have any confidence that this issue is going to be resolved. Im checking out other trash companies. I cant believe how inept this company is. I will say customer service people are pretty good but they do not have the ability to resolve problem. Absolutely horrible service. I have been a customer for over 5 years, until now. Every year there is issues with yard waste pickup, despite payment for that service. This season between *** and August I have had zero pickups, unless I put in a missed pickup request, which they actually took care of one time. I have reached out weekly since August 2nd, spoken to two representatives (one who even escalated the situation) and my yard waste has still not been picked up. Just got off the phone with yet another representative who told me "well, you're scheduled pick up date is tomorrow so there is nothing I can do." They are reimbursing only 1 months of service, despite being able to see that I have not been serviced for months, and I am still being charged for services I am not receiving. I am absolutely outraged at the way they treat their "valued" customers and have lined up a new ********************** service saving me $800 a year. Moved to ******* ** 14 months ago and, like most homes in our large neighborhood, we signed up for Republic garbage and recycle. In recent months service has increasingly missed pickups and become generally unreliable, often with communications about delayed or missed pickups coming after the fact, if at all. I noticed many neighbors switching to a more reliable local competitor. So we did the same about 3 weeks ago and ever since have been told multiple times by Republic (after calling the local Fort ******* customer service phone #) that our two ********************** bins would be picked up today, August 16th. I set the bins out at 6:30 AM and called Republic twice today (morning and afternoon) and was assured once again I was on the list for today and pickup would be by 7 PM. Well, it is 7:05 PM and NO pickup. Our garage is overcrowded with four bins at present. Beyond frustrated and if not resolved in next few days will be escalating AND letting more of my Republic-using neighbors, many of whom are very frustrated like us, know they should really consider changing vendors - but good luck getting your old bins picked up!Republic Services Inc Response

Can't get a dumpster picked up since April as we no longer occupy the space. Called customer service multiple times and I have to tell the same story over and over again and yet I still get no results. Don't quite understand the inability to get it picked up.Republic Services Inc Response
