I attended the National Laser Institute in ****** from March 1st to March 10th of 2024. I was informed by ***** when inquiring about the school that once completed, students would receive "support for resume help, job leads, and any assistance you may need once you have completed your course". I can verify that with text message proof upon request. Unfortunately once completing the course I was not given any help as stated previously. I had reached out to the owner ***** who could not provide me with any support for resume help, job leads or any assistance. The school markets that anyone can find a career with their training however, Massachusetts employers will not allow you to work with the equipment unless you are a licensed esthetician. I have found this to be true after 7 months of job searching and inquires. The school encourages students to take out loans to complete the course with the impression that they will be assisted afterwords. This institute is not only fraudulent but breaks several state board sanitation laws during the training process. Tools were not cleaned properly. Students were not informed on proper disposal of objects used during services. "Models" were not properly cleaned before service. The National Laser Institute is fraudulent and dangerous.

I spent $9,000.00 dollars for a 2 week laser course in ****** Ma with National Laser Institute. I may have used 4 machines/pieces of equipment out of the numerous ones displayed and hands on with the lasers no more than 3-5 minutes. THIS CANNOT Possibly train you to use the machinery. Employers ask how many hours of training do you have? Owner of NLI will state over 30 hrs within the 2 weeks when in fact it doesn't add up to a half an hour! I was told my certificate is useless and have not found employment in the field since leaving school in 6/2022. Only 2 of my classmates are working in the field of esthetics but not with lasers. This business owner need to be shut down. Injection training is one thing but laser treatment is not!

Last Friday, August 9th, for my 50th birthday I went to this place to get Botox like injections (mostly under my eyes was needed). The injector recommended gel injections in my cheeks and promised me that they would look very natural. I believed him and accepted the service. I was told that it would take about three days for the injections to work. After three days (and now almost a week). My cheeks are very Asymmetrical. One cheek is very noticibly higher than the other! It makes me feel freakish. I sent them photos and asked them to fix it before I have to teach our entire womens ministry at. Church this Sunday! I am mortified. It also turns out that the wrinkles under my eyes are 100% still visible! Ive gotten Botox and Dysport there many times before and these lines have always gone away. I also still have crows feel! I paid them close to $1000 for this service and my face actually looks worse! And the main thing I went for, to remove my eye wrinkles, didnt happen!!!! They are not answering **** calls and messages after I asked them to please fix my face that they messed up, preferably before I have to speak at my church in front of lots of people this coming Sunday. I sent them pictures of my very visible eye wrinkles. Feeling so uncomfortable, embarrassed and mortified. They still have my money and I have eye wrinkles and an asymmetrical face now! Please help!!!!

To Whom It May ******** (enclosed Receipt)I am contacting you at this time, as I am requesting a full refund of $4500.00 due to as I was defrauded and misrepresented in attending National Laser Institute. This party needs to take accountability for giving false information. This is still being continued to be misrepresented online and over the phone to millions of consumers. During covid when my work was shut down, I took my hard earned money as I told that I could take a Laser Technician course as a new career without needing any other license or certification. I asked over and over, will I be able to work without any previous experience after I finish and graduate from this program and was re-assured yes. I graduated and found out immediately when I got turned down by several jobs you need to be an esthetician certificate or license. On their website and also told to me, you dont need experience and you dont need any previous license. This is false, I even called ********************************************* and told them how upset I was and that this was false information and a lot of money for me to not to be able to use the certification unless I go to esthetician school which is thousands and I cannot afford nor I would have never done this. I was told to keep trying some places might accept non-experience and different states vary, but they knew I was from *************. I was clearly taken advantage of especially during covid times as this was all online too. I will have my certification revoked and voided as I cannot use it, but I can use my money back. Please help me and reprimand companies that take advantage of consumers like this, Thank you in Advance.************************** *****************************************************

Thanks for your feedback! It seems like a few employers you interviewed with were looking for candidates with a specific background, which you don't have.

However, there's no legal requirement for laser technicians to have a medical background in your state. We have all regulatory information from a top MedSpa Attorney in the ** who does research on regulations in every state before we offer courses. In *************, as long as you work somewhere with a medical director, who is a doctor, they can delegate permission for you to fire lasers, and it's completely legal. ( 100% of MedSpa's, physicians' offices have a Medical Director ) It's possible that the employers you interviewed with had a personal preference, but there are many laser technicians without an aesthetics background who have successful careers in medspas and physician's offices across the country. Don't give up and keep applying! Best of luck in your job search.

Hello, I went to school here at the ********** location in September-October of 2022. I live in ********* and I was told multiple times by a recruiter and the owner that I am able to get a job firing a laser with just my certificate. This is not correct. In order to do so, you need to have an advanced aesthetician license which requires more school. This changed in January of 2022 and was not told this Information after asking countless times. I have been painstakingly applying for jobs and going door to door with my resume and no one will hire me because I am not an advanced aesthetician. This certificate does not hold any weight and is pointless at this point and I will not pay for a loan for something I can not practice. I was lied to, and gaslighted to believe I could work in the industry with this certificate. Students should not be told they can go here if they are not already and aesthetician/esthetician.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/12/2023

There are a large number of laser providers in ****** that are not aestheticians. It is correct for an aesthetician to provide lasers under locations regulated by the ****************** which oversees them, now requests an advanced aesthetics license.

** fact, non-esthetician laser providers, like ******, may provide a variety of the technology services he was trained on at National Laser Institute at physicians office as this falls under the ************* regulations, and not the ***************** regulations.

I feel bad ****** has not landed a job, but the National Laser Institute did deliver the education promised. It is legal for one to work in ****** with the technologies ****** was trained to perform at National Laser Institute, while under the direction of a Physician.

Please see below for details from The ********** of ***** *************s regulations on the Use of Lasers/Delegation of Medical Functions:

       NAC 630.230  1. A person who is licensed as a physician or physician assistant shall not:  (g) Allow any person to act as a medical assistant in the treatment of a patient of the physician or physician assistant, unless the medical assistant has sufficient training to provide the assistance;

Nev. Rev. ***** ******* Board authorized to adopt rules governing supervision of medical assistants

Nev. Admin. Code ******* et seq. Supervision of Medical AssistantsNAC ******* Delegating practitioner defined.

(NRS 630.130, *******) As used in NAC ******* to 630.830, inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires, delegating practitioner means a person who is licensed as a physician or physician assistant and who delegates to a medical assistant the performance of a task pursuant to the provisions of NAC 630.810 or 630.820.

I got one syringe of filler in my lips, I thought they looked uneven but wasn't sure if it was just the swelling until after 3 weeks passed and all the swelling was gone then I could tell for sure. The filler on the right side of my upper lip looks like almost all of it is above my lip. It looks like I have a duck beak from the side. Then there's a small bump in the corner of my mouth that makes it look like my top lip is droopy. The next time they were in town I asked if they could fix it and was told they would ask the injector for their recommendation but never heard back of course. It's going to cost me 5 times what I paid to have their botched job fixed by someone else.

7-14-22 I called and scheduled an appointment for 8-21-22 @ 1pm in the ****** location. My appointment was for Juvederm Ultra lip filler for a training rate of $349 per syringe. I placed a $50 deposit by cc the day I scheduled my appointment. I asked if they accepted discounts from Alle members and was told yes I would be able to use the $75 OFF coupon I had from Alle. I arrived for my appointment and once again asked the receptionist about my using the $75 OFF coupon and was told that yes it would be applied. they came out and applied numbing lotion to my lips and had me sit and wait. after about 20 min they came and took me to a room in the back. It had an instructor and 4 students. They all took turns injecting me and talking with the instructor. then the instructor had me set up and had a student had me a mirror. I immediately commented that there was no change in my lips. She explained to me that it was a very beautiful natural look and to give it time I would love it. I told her I did not want natural I wanted lips like hers. to that she responded she had 2 syringes in her lips and that because this was my first time I only had 1/2 a syringe. I was being charged for a full syringe so I feel I should have been given the full syringe not only half. When I went to check out I told the same receptionist I was not happy because there seemed to be no change. She ignored my complaint and continued to check me out. She told me my total was due was $200. I paid in cash. Asked for a receipt. she told me it would be emailed to me. It never came so i can to request it again. it came and that is when I seen I did not get charged correctly. then while trying to discuss the charges i was informed that I was not given Juvderm Ultra filler. I was given something else entirely by another company called Versa. I did not approve this change. Now they will not respond back to my calls and keep telling me a manager will contact me but no one has.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/26/2022

As I originally had mentioned to you on the 24th 1 hour after our booking team recorded your concern:

I understand originally you paid for a syringe of juvederm $349. Which at check out - $50 deposit and the - $75 coupon the total would of been $224. You end up getting versa $250. At check out your $50 deposit was applied and you paid $200 cash.

On the money side everything works out to zero.

You made an appointment in our training environment (the training environment is a teaching environment where students preform all treatments) on 8/21. Our records and notes from the professional injector and all of the students indicate the following.

      1. Versa was recommended once client was accessed in the treatment room. Client was told of the recommendation. The injector also went over the product (versa) with the class and why she chose it. Client was in room listening to the teaching.

      2. A full syringe was used and no product was thrown away.

**client was super scared and was very anxious and nervous the whole time.

      3. The client mentioned she wanted lips like the injector. The clients lips are very small and it was explained to her that 1 syringe was the size of a big blueberry and that the injector has natural larger lips and has 2 syringes in hers.

The injector and class spoke to her about her expectations and that her lips will have a nice full look for her lip size and shape BUT is she wants more volume she may need to come back for more filler after 2 weeks. The client said nope never again it hurt too bad.

After the treatment the client told the injector and class that she had taken pain killers before to manage the pain.

We again are sorry you are unhappy and if there was any misunderstanding.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/26/2022

That is an outright lie... I am willing to take a polygraph... ***** talked to me about changing what I was getting... No one even discussed what I was getting at all... Never any mention of a blueberry or anything.... The first thing they said after asking me to have a seat was that a girl in class had just had her lips done and to not worry it's not that bad ..
Yes I was nervous... 1st time... Yes I asked about taking something for pain but that was for after I got home... I told them I had Tylenol in car and would take it now if that was ok...she said let her ask and came back saying yes I could. I highly doubt TYLENOL would cloud my judgement... And I had no need for anything stronger afterwards... Once it was over the pain was bearable...
There was no pre care or post care discussions at all about treatment... It was all about don't be nervous it will be ok...

Once again I will ask who I make a formal complaint with????

I am not lying... I will pay for a polygraph and prove I am not lying....

After how I have been treated I would never use your services again., But I do want others to know how I have been treated.

You continue to lie. Just like you telling me my first call to complain was 8/24 when I have call logs to prove I made 2 prior calls and no one bothered to contact me until after I made my complaint with the BBB.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/29/2022

Again I apologize your recollection is different than the teacher and the students. I wish you the best of luck in your future treatments.

I booked an appointment with this place to get my lips injected and Botox, there were five different people that stuck me and my lips are horribly uneven and I notified them of this when I left the clinic that day of service and the very next day and days after that wanting them to fix my lips that are now deformed looking and the only solution offered to me was to send me skin care products I need a refund that way I can go and have this fixed by medical doctor somewhere and since the price they told us was $250 and the price ending up out of the clinic was over $700 I think I was also misled regarding the price and cost of services

Dear ******, As we had stated in all of our correspondence with you (starting on 7/7/2022 when you first called us regarding your 5/24/2022 appointment) we are unable to preform any other injections on you due to the fact you lied on your health history form before your treatment. We are thankful that your treatment was successful and without any health issues due to the fact you lied on your health form. Immediately upon your complaint we sent the pictures you provided to the injector and our medical director. Your lips were not uneven in any of the pictures you sent. The injector & doctor did a side by side of before and after and saw zero unevenness. You signed the release forms that state you will be seen in the training environment which indicated multiple students being involved in your treatment and any possible side affects that can happen with all treatments. You also refused to be seen my video call or in person by the injector or doctor once we received your concerns. Your botox did take affect and the results were exactly as they should be with the amount of units you received. Our offer of free skincare was a gift for you. After our knowledge of your true health we offered you everything in our power and to provide you the best service we could. You rejected us and our ability to help. We again apologize for your unhappiness but our hands are legally tied with what we can preform on you now that your correct health history is on file. We wish you the best of luck.

my health problems were not an issue at all my lips are uneven and I have a part that sticks out on the top by the bow and yall wanted to offer me face cream which I cant do because I have a skin disorder I did not lie on my application for this service as I didnt find out about my health until after that was turned in months ago and further I also asked my physicians that I see and they said it would not be a problem and there was no reason to indicate otherwise, further of the price I was given $297 it turned out to be over $700 and no one told me they were gonna be five or six different people sticking me, which is what happened and the lack of conformity may be why my lips look the way they do the picture shows a slight increase however I reported my dissatisfaction the day of the procedure and the very next day to let yall know what was going on so you were notified immediately that this was not what I asked them to do and I said that during the appointment numerous times that I did not want my upper lips to be sticking out and the upper lip is the one that has the obvious and I mean obvious mistake on the front lip so if yall are not good, So if yall not even offering to reimburse me for anything as far as the original price I was told was $250 or $275 and it was over 700 and the Botox only works on half my forehead so I would think to be a decent company I would at least refund half since this happened and I am so unhappy with the service but I will be sure and let everyone I know know that when you go to this your place that youre stuck on five or six different times by five or six different people the girlfriend that I went with she only had one person stick her in her lips turned out fine and I said all this
