Received a phone call that came up Anthem (number saved in phone). Was told their services are included with my insurance and eligible for an in-home assessment. Thinking it was Anthem I made the appointment, only then did they say Matrix Medical would be doing the visit. I logged into my Anthem looking for information on Matrix Medical, found nothing. Just finished a ****** search and found the complaints and reviews. After reading what others have said and having different insurance, I feel they are a scam. No way should the insurance name pop up from a company not associated with them. Read where someone redialed the number and got Matrix, well I done the same thing, how is that possible when it is my Anthem phone number. Talked with the same lady who called first time and told her they were not associated with Anthem and that I had made an appointment for the specific date and to cancel and to not call my number again.

Unfortunately, I was under the impression this was my healthcare insurance provider. This is not the case. When I realized it wasn't as presented I cancelled the appointment. Now I am receiving prank calls from Matrix. I'm stunned with this behavior. A legitimate company would never behave like this. Please be aware this is a scam of some sort and do not fall for their fraudulent representation of who they are. Sadly, this is what is happening to our vulnerable seniors citizens. This deserves zero stars.

Thank you, Ms. ******** for sharing your concerns and our sincere apologies for the experience you had with our company. "Scam" is a strong word and not the principles Matrix adheres to. Matrix visits and helps manage the care of thousands of health plan members all over the country including your healthcare provider. Matrix has been providing in-home care services for over 20 years. We do not prank call our patients but want to ensure they receive the best care at home that we can offer. At any point if you would like to cancel your appointment and not to be contacted further, we are always happy to assist you with this. And, of course, a site like this rarely shows the testimonials we get from individuals whose lives we've impacted - and even saved - with our in-home health visits. Thank you again for sharing your concerns.

This so called nurse should be in a different field. NO PEOPLE SKILLS AT ALL. She didn't want to hear what I had to say. VERY CONDISENDING ATTITUDE!! They made the appointment under the impression it was from my insurance company. I will be lodging a complaint with them also. My appointment was on 9/27/2024. These people are no good.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and our sincere apologies for the experience you had with our company and clinician, *****. We have forwarded your message to our member feedback department and leadership to investigate this issue further. Our clinician was unaware that you were experiencing these concerns during the visit as this is never the intention of our employees. Nevertheless, you've had a negative experience with our organization, and we appreciate you reaching out to us.

Was hung up on, called a child, and when I called back to speak to a supervisor there was none that would get on the phone with me. Mind you I asked many times to be put on the do not call list yet they continuously call me. ************* put me on hold for several minutes still without a supervisor. Are there any professionals who work at Matrix Medical Network because from what they showed me they dont care about their patients all the while using the Highmark name.

Waited 4 hours for supposedly a nurse and ***** called to give us a time frame or showed up. I believe this was a scam like others have mentioned. I will not reschedule with Matrix. I have my own doctor that I go to every 3-6 months. Plus they said we can schedule on a Saturday and then I go on website and says they are closed. I do not trust this company.

Hello Matrix, I made this appt. for tomorrow morning with good faith, and expected an early visit, and an appt. time notification at least 2-3 days ahead (at a minimum). Now, I have tried to contact and call Matrix 3 times, and still no Time of appt. - ""tomorrow'' morning,- tomorrow. I get up at 3:00 , and need to take care of other important matters after 11:00 A.M. - So, what is the hold-up? So "unprofessional" of this Matrix org, or what ever you claim to be. You say Matrix cares about my Health,- well what a lie, - you do not care about my emotopnal or mental health as it is affected by your unprofessional behavior in scheduling this appt. in a timely, caring, and proper manner. I will check one more time at 4;00 P.M. then make a review of your company. - Sincerely, ************* (supposed patient), -

I got the notorious Matrix call an hour ago, with the woman caller representing that, as so many other reviews state, that the call is on behalf of my health insurer. My caller ID also showed the number as my insurance company. It seemed a bit suspicious that they needed my home address, email address, cross-street for directions (no GPS?), color of my house, etc. I scheduled a home health assessment visit with a nurse practitioner. BUTweve all been trained by experience, and by the news, to be skeptical of unknown callers, texts, and emails. And for good reasons because calls, texts, and emails are often the assault vectors of choice for scammers, spammers, data thieves, and fraudulent come-ons. SoI did a quick online search and within seconds came across this BBB site with so many negative reviews on Matrix that I called back right away and cancelled the appointment.I especially noted the many responses by Matrix to the complaints, all of which say about the same thing. Many apologies for rude, pushy, inconsiderate, disingenuous behavior by phone reps, and missed appointments by nurses. What strikes me is the insistence by the Matrix responder that this Is all a misunderstanding and Matrix is just there to help and do good. What about changing your business model? What is it about Matrix that triggers so much negativity? Maybe Matrix is all they claim to be and nothing beyond that. Maybe 95% of your contacts with seniors are beneficial and positive. Nobody searching the web to allay their misgivings will reach that conclusion. Instead of the apologies and offers to add complainers to Do Not Call lists, why not address the root problemlack of trust in the process which casts a negative halo effect onto the company, the brand, the mission, and the employees. Maybe this level of mistrust is acceptable in your model and its part of the cost of doing business, the Matrix Way.

Scam. These people convinced me to spoon feed them my wife's medical info by saying they were calling for her medical insurance company, and that it was mandatory. The guy straight up lied to me in my own house. Luckily I discovered this site before I scheduled an appointment. If I see a EOB show up with Matrix named as payee I will call UCare up and have the transaction cancelled. Then to add insult to injury, Matrix flipped over to voicemail repeatedly when I tried to get a hold of a customer service representative. Do you think they get more than a little complaints? I could not even get off the mailing list.

******************,Thank you for sharing your concerns and our sincere apologies for the experience you had with our company. "Scam" is a strong word; Matrix visits with - and helps manage the care of - thousands of health plan members all over the country, including UCare. Matrix has been providing theses services for over 20 years. And, of course, a site like this rarely shows the testimonials we get from individuals whose lives we've impacted - and even saved - with our in-home health visits.Nevertheless, you've had a bad experience with our organization and we will ensure that your name is removed from any future contact. It was wrong for you to be told that our services are "mandatory." They are not, and you had every right to decline our services.Thank you again for sharing your concerns.
