1 starNextiva not change the number of lines despite several calls. So that my company has paid excess of $4,800 the last three years with automatic renewals in place for 3-year contracts, and dishonesty over the number of lines being changed when they have not. They are able to find the logs but transfer you to their other departments so you have to start from scratch. Within the process they go back on statements made. This company has been a nightmare and should be barred from doing business with these unethical practices in place. We have been trying to get help for a long time now.Review fromJoshua D

1 starReached out in October of 2022 and thought services were canceled. When I noticed that it wasn't, I began the process again. It is now almost 3 years later and they still refuse to help me cancel. They simply pass you off to somebody else who starts the process all over again. I have now handed my case off to the NC Attorney General as I have run out of options. They are a very unethical company and I want to spread the word about them.Review fromAharon B

1 starNextivas service has been an absolute nightmare. At first glance, their pricing seems low, but in reality, its incredibly costly because the service barely works. Calls frequently fail to go through, and they quietly change their promotions without informing customers, leading to unexpected rate increases.The worst part? Now that Im ready to leave, theyre refusing to provide my Username and Port PIN so I can switch to a reputable carrier like *******. Any legitimate provider can generate this information in 10 minutes or less, but instead, Nextiva is stalling, insisting I speak with their sales team and trying to block my departure.Review fromDavid E

1 starAttention, business ownerswhether youre just starting out or scaling up, steer clear of Nextiva! It could jeopardize your success, guaranteed. I initially chose Nextiva because of its affordability, but I quickly discovered that calls werent coming through due to strange connection issues, especially with their mobile app. I raised multiple complaints and attempted to resolve the problems, but the issue persisted. I would see missed calls on the appan absolute disaster for any new business where every call matters. After giving them several chances to fix things, I finally decided to cancel my service and transfer my phone numbers to another provider. Thats when the real nightmare began. Despite submitting emails to cancel, my requests were ignored, and Nextiva continued to charge my account for four months. When I tried calling their customer service, the phone would ring endlesslysometimes for over two hoursonly to go silent or disconnect altogether. As I write this review, Im still on hold trying to cancel my account. Wish me luck! Save yourself the frustration and find a more reliable provider from the start.Review fromJoy G

1 starBUYER BEWARE I signed up for Nextiva services after Business Skype (a service I had been using for over 10 years) stopped allowing prepaid SMS text messaging packages to be purchased. Nextiva proposed to offer everything I needed in one contract: i.e. VoIP phone (porting of my existing company phone numbers), SMS messaging, and online chat. SIX DAYS LATER, after jumping through all of their hoops, and on the same day that my numbers were successfully ported to them, I received a notification that SMS text messaging could not be completed because my business performs "high-risk financial services" which it does not do. I tried to clear up the misconception, but they would not listen. Instead, they told me they were cancelling my services. On that day, the Friday before Christmas, I was forced to seek out a new service that would meet the same needs. I contacted another company and proceeded to move my phone numbers away from Nextiva and deleted their Chat from my website. On Jan 6th, I connected to Nextiva via chat to ask why I had not received my refund. I was told the service had not been cancelled. I asked to speak with a supervisor (was told that I could not) and that Chat ended with "Tetiana" saying "I've submitted a ticket [********] to your ******************* They will best assist further." I have never been contacted by their ************* team. Today is 1/14/2025, one month to the day that I signed up for services. I called today to ask about the refund and was told the service WAS NOT CANCELLED. "Essy" again refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor, refused to cancel the service, saying I signed a contract and to cancel I would need to pay an "early termination fee" of over $400, even though they are "not able to work with my company" and are not providing me with ANY SERVICES. When I told her I would be contacting the ***, she stated "That's fine. We work right alongside them." When I tried calling their HQ, the call is immediately disconnected.Review fromAnastasia S

1 starI am writing to formally lodge a complaint about the consistently poor service and experience Ive had with Nextiva company. As a paying customer, I am extremely dissatisfied with the following issues that have yet to be addressed:Failure to **************** Paid For: I have been paying for services that Nextiva has failed to deliver as promised. Despite multiple attempts to set up and activate the necessary services (messages), I have not received the full functionality of what I have been billed for. Actually its been 3 months and i dont have that service.Lack of Support During Setup: When I attempted to set up these services, I encountered significant difficulty and was met with little to no assistance from your team. It is unacceptable that I have been charged for services that I cannot even set up, with no help from customer support.Unclear Upcharges and Extra Charges: I have also noticed unexplained charges for additional services that I did not request or approve. There were no clear opt-out options, and I feel misled by the pricing structure. This is a concerning practice and violates the trust I placed in your company.Contract Termination Fees: When attempting to remove services or discontinue the contract, I was informed that there are termination fees, which I find unreasonable. I believe customers should have the right to cancel services without being penalized, especially when those services are not being provided as promised.Unprofessional and ********************** I have reached out multiple times for assistance, and on each occasion, I was met with unhelpful, rude, and sarcastic responses. 1 starMy account never got activated as did cancel on the very first day due to high risk, which i do not understand, but later send me three phones, I did call them to return the phone, they instead mentioned that account is active and did email me about it few days ago, again I had no clue, and told me that if I cancel now will charge me early termination fee, I was completely taken by surprise I am contacting better business and will look for legal option too They never had my consent for the serviceReview fromMark A

1 starI had the worst experience trying to get support from Nextiva. I called their sales team and spoke to someone named *****, who immediately asked why I was calling. When I told him I wanted to join Nextiva, he hung up on me!I called again, hoping for better service, and was told I would be transferred to the correct department. But instead, I was sent back to the call bot and had to go through all the options once more. Eventually, I was connected to another sales agent named ******. When I asked her what was going on and why no one seemed willing to help, she hung up on me as well.This is by far the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. If I could give negative stars, I would. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Absolutely horrible service!Review fromRobert R

1 starI've been with Nextiva for over 10 years, mainly because switching providers seemed overwhelming. The time and effort required to port numbers, reconfigure phones, and set up attendants felt like too much of a hassle. However, after years of frustration, I've finally decided it's time to make the change. Their phone application is horrendous, customer support is severely lacking, and their reliance on a third-party service for campaign registry is absurd. I've been unable to get text messaging approved, even though we only use it for customer communication, not marketing. Other major providers can handle these approvals in under three business days, but not Nextiva. If you're considering them, I strongly urge you to look elsewhereyoull thank me later.
