This company led me to believe that they would auction my furniture to get the best sale possible.I paid Caring Transitions $600 to pick up my furniture for auction. They auctioned approx. $10,000 worth of furniture for $710.89, where I received only $366.60. I didn't even recover my $600 for picking up my furniture.How can a $4500 Listado red leather sofa and loveseat allegedly only auction for $2.00, yes, two dollars? I have no proof that this was a legitimate auction or an internal thief of my expensive furniture. They are associated with ***************** where furniture is sold in their showroom. Could my furniture have been acquired for pennies to sale in their showroom at a higher price where I was led to believe that it was auctioned? Both of these companies need to be investigated for fraud, taking advantage of the elderly, and misleading customers. **************

We are very sorry that ****************** is unhappy. We never want to create dissatifiaction and in fact, always deliver on our promises. We Know that He is grieving the loss of a loved one which makes this harder than ever for him. That said, ****************** was not offered any assurances that his items would sell for any amount as we know that the market - especially in an online auction - gets to decide market value. **************** is a separate business - and DID NOT buy any of ********************** items for resale. We are more than happy to show him the bidder identities of the bidders (not names or phone numbers) who purchased his items. While we wish that ****************** would have realized more gains from his auction, we cannot dictate how the market will respond. We are a franchise that is required to start every auction at $1. ****************** was advised of the auction guidelines and was also advised he could set minimum reserves on his items - in both his contract and his information sheet that was reviewed with him when he met with our sales associate ****. Again, we are very sorry he is unhappy. When he makes less than he wishes - we do too. He called yesterday and spoke with **** - our auction manager and was promised a return call from **** this week. (**** was at the doctor most of the day yesterday and thus unavailable). **** will folllow up with ****************** personally to reiterate all that was discussed before we moved ********************** items from his home. We hope that we can help ****************** find some peace - but we know that we did everything we promised we would do when we met with him and talked with him yesterday.

I just reviewed the photos of ********************** Red sofa. The body of the sofa was leather - but the back had a very significant head stain on the back of the sofa - plus the seat cushions are gold fabric and do not look right - they are fabric of a different color.
