I reached out to Scotia Group Management about a judgment that had passed in 2015. I settled the debt and one day this year I got a notification saying that they were going to garnish my wages with years of interest. I contacted their Regional manager and she tells me information inaccurate about a sure deposit that wasnt on the judgment and wont send me a copy of any of the information that I requested in order to get to the bottom of this. I figured out which company would have collected the a sure deposit but the creditors stated that there isnt a record on my account. So I circle back and the regional wont disclose information without the creditor asking for it. I am going to make sure fair housing and that a fair credit violation is filed.Scotia Group Management, LLC

11/23 new neighbors move in next door, immediately violated the 2-pet only rule. Neighbors were filthy, throwing pet waste outside the front door, multiple dogs can be heard barking through the thin walls at all hours of the night. Reported to property management (****) 11/23 did nothing about the complaints from myself and other tenants, and for 8 months I arrived home to the stink of pet waste when windows were open, saw more than 4 different types of dogs in the windows and again, multiple dogs barking and howling intensely from 11/23 to 4/24, heard barking up until the neighbors left on 7/2/2024. Scotia Group Management LLC was called 12/23 due to no communication or progress from ****, and again 7/1/24 for the smell/bugs. (Scotia listens to the voice mail but just forwards it to apt mgt, so don't be shy voicing your concerns) On 6/30 bed bugs were discovered entering apartment bedroom through electrical outlet with the wall shared with vacant next door apt, I informed **** LATE AFTERNOON on 7/1/24 the tenants were in the apt and he said he'd go see it because it was supposed to be vacant, but he never went and they squatted in the apt until about 5am 7/2/24, only one window was cracked, after speaking to **** the day before , the next afternoon ALL windows were opened and the smell got worse. I was told LATE AFTERNOON ON 7/1/24 (after going to the main office repeatedly to see the OPEN sign only to find the door locked) the soonest I could be inspected was 7/3/24, along with the apt next door for Termagon ************** Control to determine if that is where the bugs are coming from. *********** control did not show up until LATE AFTERNOON 440PM on 7/3/24. So no action on the biohazard stench coming out of the vacated apt next door to me, no action about the bed bugs for some reason on 7/1/24 or 7/2/24, no action on 7/3/24 (for some reason, even though this was late afternoon), holiday on 7/4/24 (so?), and at the time of typing this 1:11pm 7/5/24 no Termagon.Scotia Group Management, LLC

This company screwed my family over repeatedly. First of all, the pool was rarely open and the spa was out of service more often than it was working. If you can even call that joke a spa. The gym was closed for an extensive amount of time when we first moved it, which we were not told upon move in. I went in person to ask about the pool after it was closed for more than 30 days in the middle of the summer. Management was rude, dismissive and told me they were not required to give me a time frame for it to reopen. The neighbors are nosey and trashy. We had a mice infestation and contacted management, they promised to do something about it and never did. We caught well over 20 mice in a few months. Upon move out they attempted to charge us two extra months of rent and tons of late fees. We contacted upper management and they called saying you contacted my manager so I guess we will remove the late fees than proceeded to charge us excessive BS fees when we moved out including birth a fee to clean the carpet and replace it, a fee to cover in 20 nail holes (we didnt have any pictures hanging), charged us for stove drip pans that were brunt and dirty when we moved in, charged a fee for paint over normal which is complete BS because nothing in that home needed to be repainted. Not to mention there was literally p*** splatter in the bathroom walls when I moved in that I had to clean myself. If you decide to move into this hot cesspool of mismanaged property, than bless your heart. I sure wish I had not.Scotia Group Management, LLC

1 starTerrible customer service. If you are planning to move into their unit please proceed with alot of caution. Apartment units are being lease with well known history of problems. Some are being leased with active ***** infestations, or mold. Management is cheap, and therefore when maintenance is called they do not do a proper job, therefore its a temporary fix. Do not rent with them, they are difficult , not understanding, no empathy, rude, and do not care about the quality of your unit, or whether you are happy. As a current resident I have a ***** infestation, and its been 8 months and Ive yet to hear from them with a plan. But trust me when they will be knocking on your door the day rent is late, or wont mind increasing your rent although quality of service continues to decline.Review fromMaribel R

1 starI would put a 0 is I could. Started with my new lease 2022-2023. My lease for 2021-2022 was **** was increasing to **** for new lease. They offered 1 months of new lease same price as **** then to go to ****. Called went into office multiple x's. So he did change it. Then to get then to adjust to what my lease was thereafter **** I called and went in for 6 months. Mind you every month after that 1st month I did continue to pay my ****. So I had a **** and something credit. Time for my new lease.. told them it was never adjusted back to what is was supposed to be. So they offered me a new lease for **** total. All that wasted time I spent trying to get them to put my lease to the **** after the 1st month of 2022-2023 lease they adjusted off my account the full credit but then also recharged me that 1st month the additional 145 and my new lease they didn't honor the **** they put it at **** plus carrying over that 145. They rip people off don't give u what they offer u. This only has started since the Scotia group took over.Review fromJasmine N

1 starBeyond horrible. Took over my complex and it's just gone downhill since. Rent increased by 50%. They closed the pool for remodeling 7 months ago, still closed. No effort in fixing broken machines in laundry room yet spending time and money building cement slabs for the picnic tables. No effort fixing the pool even though it's 115 outside yet spending time and money to install gas lines for gas grills. Any and all "improvements" simply put is just putting a bandaid over a geyser hoping the leak will repair itself. They just say it is and try to make it look like a nice place to live. But it's all just a big sham. Painting over dirt and stains doesn't clean them away but that's all this company does during its so called improvements. This companies motto 100% should be profit over people. Money hungry corporation who doesn't care 1 ounce about their residents. They reply to complaints trying to make themselves look like they care or will correct the mistake. Yet everyone who has complained and got a response have the same thing to say. The responses from Scotia are just as fake as can be. They have no intention to improve quality over quantity.Review fromTracy P

Scotia Management Group failed to maintain the apartment and as such broke the lease agreement. Black mold.... then after agreeing to let us walk away have sent bills for 3 different amounts and tried harassing us to pay. They dont have a judgment but use threats and harassment to bully us into paying a debt that we dont owe. We have obtained a lawyer.Scotia Group Management, LLC

Scotia recently became new owners of ************** Apartments. Already getting off to a bad start! My electricity went out and no one was monitoring the emergency line. I called three times and waited and waited...nothing! I am a 65 year old woman, living alone, who sat in the dark and worried about my food spoiling in the old fridge. It is not functioning properly, as it is. I have it set to a higher temperature and I have requested a new one through email. Fridge must be at least ***** years old. It wasn't new when I moved in 13 years ago. No reply yet, and it has been enough time for a response. Not a good sign! So after a few hours, I decided to fiddle with the breaker box. Eventually, I got the power back on. I called my sister before I did to let her know, in case I got hurt. It is high voltage. I had no choice. I suffered a lot of emotional distress in the last few days. I needed to share so they can take responsibility. They raise the rent sky high and then look the other way when tenants want their money's worth. My next step is to call the ***************** and considering other options too. I have nothing to lose.Scotia Group Management, LLC

1 starHigh prices for ***** Infestation and Refuse strewn all over property. Scotia group has no staff on property to attend to this hazardous apartment complex. Communication by phone and email yields to a dead end. No response back from management.
