!!! Stay Away !!!My recent experience with a money transfer service that has been highly disappointing and misleading. I transferred money using a debit card, expecting an expedited process as advertised. However, the service charged me approximately $4.50 per $1000 for using a debit card, and the exchange rate was lower than that for an ACH transfer. Despite these higher costs, the transaction was not processed immediately. Instead, I found out that my money would only be transferred after two days, contradicting the service's claims of quick transfers. This misinformation misleads customers and wastes both time and money. Had I known this, I would have opted for an ACH transfer, which offers a better rate and no transaction fees. Upon contacting customer service, I learned that cancellations are not straightforward. They require sending an email to another department, with no option for customers to cancel transactions themselves. This lack of control and transparency is frustrating. There are many other services that offer better rates, lower fees, and more reliable customer support. I urge you not to be swayed by their $20 gift card incentive as it does not compensate for the poor service and the uncertainty surrounding transactions.Review from Nazneen F

I think this is a scam. I sent the money almost a month ago, the recipient never received the money (I never had any problem sending money with other currency exchange before). I asked them to provide proof that the money was delivered, they couldn't give me any document/proof that the money was actually delivered. I asked for a refund and they started to ask for more sensitive information. The recipient never received the money and I never received a refund. After several follow *** it became clear to me that my money is lost.Review from Wayne A

Stay far away from this company as they play games with people's money in violation of federal banking laws. They are borderline scammers at this point. As I initiated a transaction July 3rd and was canceled 4 and a 1/2 hours later, and my account was closed.... Even though the recipient received a number to pick up the money.. July fifth, they took the money out of my bank account after they closed my account to transfer which is highly illegal. And now i'm still waiting for the return of my money and if not returned soon I will file a charge back which is a major hit on a company like that. Everything this company does is very unethical and lie a lot. Again i'm warning everybody never to use this company.Review from Jessica P

This company is a SCAM, I sent money 6 days ago, and it said it would be in the recipient's account within minutes. After 6 days it's no there. Customer service just gives vague answers and say that they will transfer the case, and to wait for an email that never comes.Review from None O

I tried to use Xe to pay a traffic ticket I got in *****. I created an account - which involved providing a lot of personal information. After setting up the transfer, I received an email with the following questions: Please confirm the following: o Your full name including any middle names o Occupation(s) for the last 10 years. Please give exact role. o Have you ever lived overseas? If yes; when, where and what was your occupation whilst residing there? o Do you have any connections with individuals in government roles/bodies? (past or present) o Have you ever worked in government roles/bodies (past or present)? If yes; what was your exact role? These questions are way outside the bounds of reasonableness. There is no way I'm providing answers to these questions - other than my name, What possible motivation could they have for this nonsense? That $70 transfer looked pretty suspicious, I guess. Now the Canadian intelligence service wants to know all about me. I highly recommend that you avoid XE.Review from Tiffany R

DO NOT USE XE!I've used XE Transfer since August 2022 and have made 19 overseas transactions to the same recipient. Today my account was suddenly closed after I tried making another transaction with no explanation from XE. This is very unsettling. I tried chatting online and calling, but am told "there are instances when the system closes the account by mistake that's why we have to ask our verification team to do a 2nd review and reopen it." both via chat and on the phone.Review from Sashikanth K

One of the worst money transfer exchange to deal with. They advertise the money should receive in 1-3 business days but, they update status as they did not receive the money from senders bank after 6 business days. Very unprofessional and unethical company to handle with. Don't fall for their exchange rate offering and inviting unwanted troubles. I initiated on 01/22/24 but, so far details in transaction showing as "Amount not received from senders bank".Review from PRAVEEN T

XE closes the account with any reason and sends and email even though they had the documents verification during signup and while transactions.They have closed my account without giving any proper justification or a valid reason.Without giving any specific validation or analysis on account closure, I think Xe are treating a consumer by having their data while signing up the account who have submitted required documentation which I find very unfair treatment to the consumer.Here is the response from them:"Hello *******,Thank you for choosing Xe.Unfortunately, were unable to assist you further and your account XEMTXXXXXXX will remain closed.We apologize for any inconvenience."What kind of company closes an account when there is no violation done by consumer at all?Review from Lenny L

The refund timeframe depends on how you paid for your order.Once your transfer's been cancelled, it can take up to 10 business days for your money to be credited to your account, but it's usually quicker than that.If you paid by bank transfer or ACH, you'll usually receive your refund within ************************************************** debit card, you'll usually receive your refund within 4 days of requesting it ^ This is from XEs website and this is by far a lie I am still waiting for my refund at day ********************************************************************* the book as to why my refund hasnt been returned back into my account. Im strongly considering a small civil lawsuit case against XE for holding my money hostage. The cancellation was back in December the 15th 2023 its December 29th and I still have nothing in my account. This is completely unacceptable and negligence Im very furious that they have had no sense of urgency to get this issue worked out.Review from Al D

Horrible business practice and need to be investigated for the numbers of customers complaining about money being taken out of their account without providing the service.
