Horrible experience with Breg. I had a fall and seriously injured both knees and needed two braces which I got from the orthopedic surgeons office. A couple weeks later I get a bill for $555 from Breg with no description of what I was paying for--I assumed it was for both braces since I had looked the brace up on ****** and found I could buy it there for $161.00. I paid the bill and about a week later, I get another bill with no explanation for $555. I call them and they tell me one bill was for the right and the other was for the left and that was the price my insurance negotiated for me. So they are charging 3.5 times what someone would pay by purchasing on ******. I sent them a letter and they turned around and disrespected me with a financial hardship application. I sent them another note and told them this isn't about a financial hardship it's about them being unethical in how they are charging people. I told them here is my card number charge me the $161 Amazon charges for this second brace since id already paid $555 for one or pay off the $555 you claim my insurance negotiated---WHAT A JOKE. WHY WOULD YOU LET A NEGOTIATION WITH AN INSURANCE COMPANY LAND ON A NUMBER 3.5 TIMES THE AMAZON PRICE. Totally unethical company.

They did note disclose any information about pricing than sent a bill for $237 six months after service. They denied any assistance, told me to go online and set up payments. I thought I did but then was sent to collections before I could make a second payment. The price over the counter for the same product not Breg branded is less than $45. Do NOT use this company as they are fine with price gouging their consumers and offer no assistance and then cease to help when you try to do what they want

I went to my orthopedic doctor for pain in my wrist. They gave me a shot and recommended I wear a bace which they brought to me and made sure it fit. Later, I get a bill from Breg for the brace in the amount of $314.96. How is it they can charge this exorbitant amount when you can find the same brace on ****** for $26.00?? Yes, my doctor should have told me how much this brace was going to cost and I have addressed that with her. But it's ridiculous that this company is getting away with charging this amount for a brace. They can ramble on about insurance, and how each policy is different in the amount they pay, but at the end of the day they are charging an exorbitant amount of money for something that probably cost them $10 to make. This just shows that Breg is in it for the money and not to truly help patients in need. It's stuff like this that causes people to lose faith in the medical industry.

My daughter went to the urgent care because her knee was bothering her, nothing major, no breaks, rips or tears, didn't even need follow up with an orthopedic doctor and she received a $465.67 bill for a KNEE BRACE from this rip off company! This knee brace is no where near this price on ******. I've called to dispute this cost with my insurance and with BREG and got a BS letter response that the brace was medically necessary. My kids have NEVER received any kind of bill like this for wrist braces or anything similar.

These guys are ridiculous. I understand the need to make a profit, but to charge over 3 times the amount for a wrist brace is absurd. On top of that..you have no choice when youre in the ** or urgent care other than to say no.which isnt ideal when you need a particular brace. Given the amount of similar complaints..its nice to see the hospital system not give a c*** what they charge. I will never accept another device from **********************. Sadly.they dont care either

Learned my ****** and hope SOMEONE else out there can save money because I didn't. I went to the local walk in clinic when I broke my bone. Figured why spend $$$$ at the *** Let's go to the Walkin where I know they have an Xray machine. Left out of there with a BREG boot. Got a separate bill for the boot in the mail. BCBS of Illinois EOB and BREG's bill say I owe $216.29 for said boot that I can get EXACTLY the same on Amazon for $93.54. Even if I went with a boot with no air pocket on ****** it's $50. So much for trying to save money by going to the ************** I contacted BREG at the phone number on the bill, after speaking with multiple **** asking for a discount which they refused because it's an agreement between them and my insurance carrier. I finally got someone to give me a phone number to "corporate". I called there and was promised a call back and it's been over a week with no return call. I told every person there that i feel like I was being penalized for having health insurance when it is available FOR A MUCH CHEAPER PRICE online.

I received an email offering an interview invitation. I always do my research and after reading all of this....I think that I will respectfully decline. Thank you. I only leave 1 star because there is no other option.

This company has sent me a bill 2 years after a date of service. (1/23/23 and the bill was send on 1/29/2025). I filed a dispute on the bill which they did not comply with. My insurance company, when contacted about the EOB, noted that they waived timely filing for the claim. They did not explain why. As I stated to Breg, just because my insurance waived timely filing, doesn't mean that it is good business to provide someone with an invoice for a brace that the doctor's office provided to us on a date that is MORE than 2 years since the date of service. The bill was only $22. However, I this is just bad business practice, especially after they asked me to do research on the company in the midst of my dispute and it seems that others have had bad experiences and overpriced equipment.

Unethical in so many ways. The representative at the urgent care center who fitted my son with a wrist brace, handed me a carbon copy lengthy contract which was not filled out. There were blank spaces for the product costs. They essentially made me sign a contract to pay any amount they make up later. They also did not offer me one of the carbon copies of the contract. I took a picture of it with my phone. They did not contact me for two months, and then sent me a text message with incomplete account information. I called the number on the text and gave them a corrected address for invoice, and they didn't update it. I called back a month later, today, and had to give my address to the representative (foreign accent) 3 times. She could not even repeat my zip code back to me correctly after two tries! There was no way I was going to attempt a credit card number, so I asked for my account number to pay it on their online portal. She had to repeat the account number 3 times to get it right, calling a 4 when she meant 1, and a 5 when she corrected to 7. My son hated the brace and we had a comfortable one shipped overnight from Amazon at 1/5 the cost overnight. I thought I could trust my local urgent care but I will review them and recommend they stop working with Breg. Overall, the cost wasn't that unreasonable, but the business practices are all unethical and unprofessional.

I suffered a third degree ankle sprain and was given a boot by my medical provider. Breg charged me $425 for the boot which is available on ****** for $87. Absolutely ridiculous to mark up a medically necessary accessory by over 4 times what it's worth. The bill also arrived months after the incident happened. With families struggling to afford groceries right now, I find this to be really bad business.
