Over the past 2 years I had solar panels installed on my house for cost effective reasons. The installation took over 2 years to have completed due to having 2 companies to close. Myers Electric were finally able to finish the installation. However, the solar panels that they connected to operate are not functioning properly and not generating any electricity. I am not facing to pay a high Electric bill from ****** and still paying my loan on the panels subsequently having to pay electrical bills. After Myers electric finish the installation no information was given to me about the tracking or monitoring of my panels. No contact information was ever given to me. I cannot get a hold of anyone at Myers electric. The phone numbers provided on their website all go to a voicemail. The phone prompts all lead to a voicemail. I am suffering financially and have not received any help from anyone at ******, ************************************ and not Myers electric.

I am rejecting this response because: All Im asking for is a response or someone to get in contact with from Myers Electric so that I can get my login information for my solar panel monitoring. Ive gone through everyone including the manufacture of the solar panels to get this information and they all say that the installers who completed the service and got the panels operating needs to provide me the login information for Solar Edge. It has been multiple weeks trying to speak to someone at Myers Electric, even leaving voicemails with no response. I understand the workload but the information I need doesnt seem that extensive as I just need login info. Please, its been a grueling 2 years of having the worst experience going solar, any help with this would be very much appreciated.

    This is a Goodleap project.
There was an issue on this project since the house is built in a Methane zone.
Since it was calling for an *** We were waiting on a quote approval from Goodleap.
Based on the records the Customer ended up avoiding the *** and worked with a different contractor.
The Customer got the system PTOd on 4/30.
mrs *****, the company that originally contracted with this customer, went out of business so we were given this job to complete from the finance company to finish this project. We received over 1000 of these jobs and every customer is upset because of the wait but there is nothing we can   do until we get approvals from the finance company to move forward. We tell every customer that we are sorry that this has happened to them but at the end of the day we had no control over anything to get this customer taken care of in a timely manner. The good thing we did was finish this customer's project and got his solar system turned on.

10/4/2021. I made payment for my additional solar panels to be installed in the amount of $33,600. The payment combined a cash payment of $9,600 and a check for $24,000. A representative for the solar company came out and took the money. 10/5/2021. I received an email from the representative that included the company's receipt on cash payment $9,600. I did not get additional receipt on $24,000 but since it was a check with Payee to ***** Electric Company, I did not worrry much about the proof. 10/6/2021. Check in the amount of $24,000 was posted with my bank. (Solar panels were installed by ***** Electric Company in 2021, and on 6/8/2022 I received a confirmation email from ***** ****** stating my NEM was set and complete.) 07/21/2022 Contacted the sales person at solar company because of billing issue with with ******. 7/29/2022. Contacted the sales person again and got a response. 7/30/2022. Received a call from the solar company and was told my account was cancelled on 5/26/2022. So the solar company does not have any account set up under my name. I explained about payment and panels on my roof. Was promised a call back. 8/1/2022. Received a call from the solar company and was told no payment of any type was received. 8/1/2022. Called ***** Electric Company Inc, and a representative *** told me to send an email with copies of receipt as well as emails pertaining to the money. I sent them. Although I just sent the email and perhaps I need to wait and give them time to resolve, I cannot help but feel that this company is going to deny ever receiving money. The rep *** flat out told me that her company does not receive money through a third party person even after I told her about the receipt from her company. She gave the info I needed but she was very condescending and when I finally have had enough and questioned her whether she was implying I was being stupid, she said, "I didn't say that. You did," and she hung up the phone.

I am rejecting this response because:

My complaint was about their customer service representative whose poor manner and inadequate professionalism.  Emails were to ask about where abouts the money I paid went and before I received their email response, I had already figured out that they had received my money.  The representative Liz was very rude and condescending towards a customer who was desperately trying to find information.  Her sarcasm was unwarranted and very rude and I want an apology either from her company or the representative herself.  After all, she showed no empathy and no concern even when I said that I had the receipt from her company.  The email has nothing to do with her attitude or her manners.

    Better Business Bureau:

I received an email from the business in reference to complaint ID 1*******, and I want to make a point about Myer's Electric Company's Response.   PLEASE, read the email correspondence from 8/24/22, between ***** and myself below.   Please also note, that *****, while explained about the money,  is still reluctant to admit their rep's bad manners by referring the whole incident as 'my misunderstanding'.  This company also tried to blame outside contractors for 'my misunderstanding' of its own rep's poor customer service practice.
Also, I learned today that "VP of Operation, Alex Jurado" is a solar panel installer!!   This person does not work with or in charge of anybody answering the phone!!  What a joke! I do not believe this company will own up to anything if it can get away with it.  I have a contract with this company for the next 25 years for which they are to repair and replace any defective solar panels or systems, and I sincerely doubt this company will follow through.  If I could, I want to give the worst/lowest rating possible through BBB and caution people from getting involved with this company.

The confirmation of resolution I mentioned in the email below is that I resolved to stay unsatisfied with this company.  I do not wish to engage with this company any more, nor do I expect any proper apology from it.  Pity that I may not have any choice for the next 25 years!

I unhappily accept the Business Response.

Thank You BBB for your help!

    BBB - Reponse rejection

I have been sent an email from BBB concerning your rejection of our response.

Thank you for your feedback on ***'s communications during your phone conversation with her on 08/01/2022.

We completely understand how you must have felt concerning where your payments must have gone.
You were ********'s first project with us. They wanted to fasttrack your solar project from your permit to installation to quick payment since it was cash.
And that is really the main reason that ***, who is our project manager did not have any information on your Solar Installation - we permitted your project and was installed by our approved
subcontractor - ***** ***** recommended by ********. This is what prompted me to email you concerning ********.
    Hello Ms. ***,
I hope this email finds you well.
I wanted to address something which is bothering my company for a while.
You mentioned that ****** cancelled your account, but ******** represented themselves as ******.
If you can kindly send us your installation paperwork this will truly help us determine how ******** represented themselves on your HIC=Homeowners Improvement Contract - as the HIC that we have is a cash agreement. (Attached)
Can you please explain how ******** represented themselves to you during the sale? We want to ensure that no impropriety was committed on this crucial initial meeting.
And unfortunately, you are not the only customer stating that ******** is representing themselves as ******.
We appreciate any information you can provide.
Thank you again for your time.

These are all besides the point.

We do apologize for any misunderstandings about how *** handled your conversations and concerns.
We here at MEC take pride in learning quickly to prevent any misunderstandings such as these moving forward.
Our VP of Operations, Alex Jurado will be correcting this misstep personally.

If you have any further concerns feel free to contact me anytime, and some insight concerning ******** would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your explanation about the circumstances of which *** did not have my information.  I appreciate your response.  However, I wanted to point out that your email does not explain WHY she was rude and unprofessional towards me even after I told her that I had a payment receipt with your company's logo.  She insinuated that I was a fool for handing over a large sum of money, and when she said, "You said it, not me", and then hung up after meaningless "thank you for calling", I wanted to bring her customer service skills and professionalism to your company's attention.  While you are trying to explain, you are just giving me an excuse that is not valid for her mannerism over the phone.  I ask that if you are going to offer an apology, especially in the case of customer experience, please do so without any excuse.  Again, your attempt at explaining Ms. ***'s behavior over the phone, while it is commendable, is neither appropriate nor excusable.  I did NOT misunderstand anything about Ms. ***'s poor customer service!  But I am also grateful about your company's VP of Operation getting involved.  May I point out that you responded to me quickly and with accurate information to put my mind at ease?

On a separate note, I did not respond to your email because I did initially sign the contract with ****** and that's why they had my account initiated and then cancelled in May of this year because I had switched to a purchase to save money and that I had forgotten about the new contract.  But this information had nothing to do with your company, and I could not help but feel that you were somehow trying to put the blame on others for your employee's conduct.  So, instead of responding to you while I was upset with your company, I decided not to respond at all.

I will respond to BBB with a confirmation of resolution when I get an email from it.  As you can see, the complaint was not just about not being able to find the money, but also about poor customer service by a single person who was supposed to represent your company.  I do hope that my future experience, should the need arise, with ***** will be more professional and pleasant.   Thank you!
