5 starsPurchased a home from original owner that is 3 years old. Guest bathroom toilet backed up 1st usage. Purchased a plunger but did not remedy the situation. Called home warranty for service call of $65.00, their plumber Diamondback Rooter snaked toilet and thought there may be a foreign object in toilet (not covered by warranty). Paid the plumber out of pocket to pull toilet and found no debris but did see the original plumber installed a unnecessary offset flange that was causing the problem, only remedy would be to remove flooring, jackhammer concrete to replace the offset flange with a straight one. Once the flange was replaced Diamondback Rooter wanted to scope the sewer drain and he found a piece of plastic that original plumber did not remove properly. I am out of pocket a total of $1,200.00 to get this resolved, called Fidelity hoping they would allow compensation but was rudely told they do not cover foreign object in sewer lines (in their contract). What is the sense of a home warranty if they do not cover the costs of a clearing a clog age. Was hoping they would be reputable and help out with the costs that were not created by us. Home warranty companies are a joke, will never recommend one nor use one ever. Do not use FidelityReview fromBrittany M

1 starWe have had Fidelity for 3 years with no issues whatsoever, we needed to file a claim for our washing machine. After finally sending someone out, the technician and mentioned he needed to order some parts and would be back out to the home. A week went by with no response, after calling Fidelity i was told my claim was denied and the reason given by the agents was very VAGUE. Tuesday, I asked to create a ticket for a supervisor to call me back and hear we are Thursday with no response AGAIN. I will not be renewing.Review fromJimi J

1 starThis company should be ashamed of themselves. We have been without AC since August and received more calls about renewal than our claim. Mind you we live in the desert. Find a better company so this doesnt happen to you. They arent even covering all the cost. We would have been better off fixing it ourselves. Our health has been put at risk due to bad air quality and smoke from local fires. With the ac being out we have to open the windows and use fans which are circulating poor quality air. I had to purchase a swamp cooler and air purifier. Fidelity has been no help only added stress.Review fromRajprabhu M

1 starMy water softener had an issue and the tech came and said the its not working because something is broken and it will not be covered. I cannot see what is broken and they say its not a usual thing so they denied the request and when I asked why it was rejected and fidelity said they cannot provide any email or more information on this. We just cant claim it. Is it nice to have a warranty company to say yes its not working and we will not cover it and will not provide any official information on whats broken and why its not covered. Not sure what is covered under my service call fee .Review fromBrian p

1 starThis warranty is useless, doesn't cover anything. I submitted a claim for a dangerous water heater they would not cover, and I had a broken window and you guessed it they don't cover windows. So I am out 3000 dollars. What a scamReview fromKaren F

1 starWorst home warranty company, ever. I did not choose FNHW. I was gifted a home warranty by my realtor, when I purchased my home in 2019. I renewed the warranty every year because I thought my 20 year-old A/C was going to die at any moment. My A/C is still working, however, I just cancelled my home warranty based on FNHW's horrific customer service and poor choice of vendors. I contacted FNHW to have one of my toilets, that was running intermittently, repaired. Three times, FNHW sent the most incompetent plumbers to my house, charged me a total of $295 (not counting the annual renewal fee of $785), never fixed the initial problem, created a new problem, refused to send another plumbing company, wasted hours of my time and treated me very poorly in the process. Customer satisfaction or using qualified vendors are not high priorities for FNHW. I would rather pay for a new A/C, out of pocket, than be forced to use an HVAC company that FNHW selects and/or be subjected to weeks/months without A/C during a Sacramento summer because of FNHW's incompetents. BTW, I found my own plumber, who fixed my running toilet in less than five minutes, showed me what the issue was, so I can fix it myself if it ever happens again and he didn't even want to charge me for his time, since it was such an easy repair. I paid him, of course, but in the end, that running toilet cost me over $300. It taught me a valuable ****** though. Do not ever use Fidelity National Home Warranty.Review fromLarry S

1 starFidelity Home Warranty referral made up "story" so Warranty company refused to repair / replace clothes washer due to a broken suspension resulting in a broken lip latch preventing machine to operate. We had to hire, at our cost, to repair broken suspension. The company previous failed to repair a pool salt system by failing to properly diagnosing the faulty component. On still another occasion, a electrician they sent tried to "enrich" himself by asking for an additional $100 to replace a shorted plug to code.Review fromNatalia M

1 starThis company deserves 0 starts. They are liars, I have made approximately 30 phone calls where I complained against a vendor they sent to my home (who stole from me and did not repair the is***) and they did not take any responsibility or gave me my money back. They promised again and again a manager would call me, a manager never called me. They would "transfer" me to someone who never answered the phone. I want to *** them and hold them accountable for having to pay for a vendor who stole from me otherwise they wouldn't authorize the repair. Dishonest company. They are the worstReview fromRobert G

1 starIt's no pleasure to share that our experience with Fidelity Home National Warranty has been unsatisfactory. Perhaps its their business model that creates months long delay. In any case: My 91-year old mother has paid for FHNWs warranty for 18 years, in recent times choosing the deluxe plan. Her AC failed June 13th. Temps where she lives in a mobile home have at times been over 100 and generally hover in the 90s. This account is written August 9th, after a company associate explained that FHNW can't offer a timeline for resolution but that the claim has again been redirected in their system and at some point we'll have another evaluation that includes a virtual visit. FHNWs first on-site HVAC vendor said the problem was the ACs compressor. After a time, FHNW sent a different vendor for a 2nd opinion. Our story since has been a bumbling misadventure with phone trees, different company associates, and various vendors, along with waits of up to nine days at a time between troubleshooting visits. To throw vendors under the bus is easy, but to me the problem appears to be that FHNW is large, layered, unwieldy, not customer centered. (I was told I couldnt get an email address to send this review for an advance read but to just print a copy and mail it to their P.O. Box.) To cut to the chase: the 1st assessment of a failed compressor seems forgotten after 2 months, theres still no AC, and theres no identifiable timeline for honoring 18 years with the company. We get irregular vendor visits that FNHW says have resulted in flip flop assessments. Most recently, one worker suggested an electrical problem, so after five days an actual electrician came and determined there isnt an electrical problem. Even when we stick to structural explanations for whats happening here, our inescapable conclusion is that we could have done better with our reliable payments. We do suggest that readers of BBB carefully research providers for this service.Review fromJabez T

1 starI've had a claim regarding my outside a/c unit. My a/c has been out for two weeks. This makes no sense. I have a family that has had to deal with this. Fidelity has been very unprofessional in getting my a/c up and running again. I've been dealing with triple degree weather, I reside in *********. Fidelity has been negligent in keeping up their end of my contract. If I could **********************************
