Said it was out for delivery but I only got one not the bracket

      Business response

      12/23/2023

Customer is unreasonable. The item was shipped on 12/19/23 and is still within the window of delivery. If they do not receive the item by January 4, ****, they should contact us through support for follow up. All items are insured and this is normal procedure. Customer enquired on 12/2023 how long delivery would take and was told 8 - 10 days. 3 days later, they file a BBB complaint. Also note, this customer has violated our terms of service by creating more than one account. If they don't receive this item, they should contact us for the insurance claim. They will not be refunded ahead of the delivery window. Thank you.

I have bought several emeralds, saphires, rubys from the Police Auction. I have got these gemstones tested and they are fake!!! They are selling these as legitimate gemstones and scamming people. I want what I paid for.

      Business response

      12/05/2023

The customer purchased several gemstones from us years ago. The items are not fake. We use a portable stone-tester that displays the material of the stone, so you know exactly what it is. Emeralds are the softest stone and care must be taken when testing *******s as the stone testers measure heat. If you hold the ******* in your hand, you can cause the test to fail, the stone must be laid on a room temperature surface. Please note we include the following in our gemstone descriptions:  "Vendor supplied description thought to be accurate but not guaranteed. We spot check gemstones with a stone-tester that measures heat retention to see if the stone is consistent with the stone-type indicated. The stone-tester indicates a specific type of stone and that matches the description. No atomic analysis is performed. We cannot guarantee 3rd party opinions or atomic structure will match the description. We do a reasonable amount of diligence on the items." One way to know that the customer is misinformed is the claim of the item being fake. 'Fake' is not a material used in manufacturing. A jeweler can make a customer upset by making this claim when they eyeball a stone. Stone testers measure heat retention and that can't be seen with the eye. It's a reliable test. The stones are not 'fake.' Thank you.

      Customer response

      12/05/2023

FAKE!!! Is a word when items are being sold as emeralds and come back as malachite.  Also, it has not been years ago, I have bought from your company for years and recently wanted to get some jewelry made out of your fake SHIT!

      Business response

      12/06/2023

The user purchased the gemstones in 2020, it's almost ****, so yes, that would qualify as years ago. The user made no effort to resolve this dispute by contacting us directly before contacting the BBB. As noted in our previous reply, we are not responsible for the opinions of others on the stones. The items are as described. We test them according to industry standards and practices. We understand the jeweler made the customer angry. If the customer would like to return the items for a refund, even though they are years past the return policy allowance, we will accept their returns. We will not exchange the items, we will refund them as per our terms of service. They will need to contact us through support with the items numbers for us to issue RMA numbers. The item numbers are available on their 'My Wins' page. If they elect to do so, the refunds will have be issued in the form of a company check, since it has been so long since the purchases. If the customer wishes to return them, they will need to contact support. Any use of profanity or other abuse is a violation of our terms of service and will not be responded to. Thank you.

Ordered on 2023/11/10 nothing received and not able to access the website after they took the money

      Business response

      11/26/2023

We have refunded the item for the customer, please allow up to 48 hours for the refund to process. Tracking shows the item was delivered to an apartment in ********, so either the post office delivered to the wrong apartment or the package was stolen. Normally, we cover this scenario with our insurance, all the customer has to do is report it to us to obtain a refund. The customer is claiming they don't have access to the site, however the site is operational and there is no restricted access. Thank you.

Oct 23 2023 made a purchase from this site. Immediately afterwards i had 2 skip the dishes orders made with my card and I've had over 10 more since. I just noticed today and after questioning my daughter why she made 2 orders with my card without asking and her denying it I checked my account only to find out I'm missing hundreds of dollars. All starting on the 23 of October 2023. So I'm guessing I'm gonna get some bs reply from them but read the complaints not the only 1 they have done this two. Completely illegal and I will pursue my bank to investigate no matter the outcome it's this site that's to blame

      Business response

      11/03/2023

This customer has not provided sufficient information for us to respond properly. We will need their username. They seem to be saying that their daughter used the site without permission and at the same time are somehow blaming us for it. In any event, we do not charge items to the user's card automatically or without permission. That can only be done by the user. Their first instinct seems to be to contact the BBB without providing their user information. How are we supposed to even look at their information if we don't which account it's attached to? Note that they filed this complaint anonymously as ************ Their email used in the complaint is not in or system. The customer seems to be located in ******, but that information is incomplete and we have no way to identify this account. We did not charge their card without permission. If they wish to be refunded, they will need to log onto the site and use the return links on their 'My Items' page. If they require assistance, they should contact support on the site by using the support form. The reason you see complaints from people on the internet is that, like yourself, they do not follow basic return instructions or make an attempt to resolve issues properly. Any attempt at chargeback will be disputed. It's a long process. It's much faster and easier to return items and control the purchasing done from your residence. We will disable your account, once you identify it for us. We need the user name. Please provide that immediately through support and reference the BBB. Thank you.

I purchased some rings or jewelry from this business offline and ever since then they have been taking $7.95 out of my account .

      Business response

      09/30/2023

The customer subscribed to our subscription service, that is why they are being charged $7.95 per month. As noted in our email response to the customer and in our support response to the customer, they must cancel the subscription themselves via Paypal. Paypal does not allow us to cancel the subscription for you.  Please log into your PayPal account and cancel the recurring billing there.  To terminate the subscription, you need to log into your Paypal account and find the Payments link.  Click on that and you will see a list of Auto Payments.  Click on the PoliceAuctions.com or Serrf Corp auto payment link and cancel it from there.  That will end the billing.  Failure to terminate the recurring billing within PayPal will cause rebils to occur.   If the customer has follow up questions, they should use the support form on the site. Thank you.

Purchased a vehicle from online auction site known as ******** in ********* ******. They listed the car as "running vehicle" but when I arrived to pick up the vehicle they had to tow it through the gates because it was not drivable. I was deceived as the only detail listed about the car was false, they won't refund.

      Business response

      08/10/2023

With all due respect to the customer, as they acknowledge in their complaint, they purchased the vehicle from an online auction site known as ******** in ********* ******. That is not our company. The customer needs to contact the company involved.  We respectfully request that the BBB strike this complaint. We are not responsible for consumer interactions with other companies. Thank you.

I bought an item (a watch) and I was asked for my credit card information. Once they had that information, I got automatically charged. I was not happy with the astronomical charge of the postage which was over twice of the amount I paid fr the item. I immediately cancelled the transaction on their site and I was told that the item would be re-auctioned. To my surprise the next day I got a confirmation E mail that the item was to be shipped to me! Thus followed multiple communications with the auction staff through their site. The communication was not with a staff in person. They told me to send the item back but I had to pay for the return postage back! Customer Support Ticket # ******. I refuse to pay the postage as I do not trust them anymore and I do not want to lose more money. I feel swindled by an organization that is supposed to be a law organization (why else call themselves police auctions?). They have forced me to pay for an item. I feel swindled. I would never ever buy anything from again. Horrible experience. Beware!

      Business response

      08/06/2023

The customer was not swindled. Shipping system is automated, and once a customer pays for an item, it is automatically set for shipping. The customer is confused with the return policy and cancelation. We do not have an automatic cancelation button. When a user creates a return for an item, it does not cancel it, it creates a return. The customer was not forced to pay for the item, this is a misrepresentation of the facts. They voluntarily purchased it, entering their credit card information through a form online, knowing full well what the shipping rate was as it is displayed in the shipping cart. This is a ******** customer, importing from ***************** to ******, so of course returning the item is more expensive, and the customer needs to factor such things before purchasing items from outside their country.  There is nothing unusual about that. The customer sent numerous support requests regarding this issue, where it was carefully explained how to return the item and obtain a refund. The customer refuses to follow normal return procedures. Our return policy states that under no circumstances do we pay for return shipping, and that is 100% ******* clear. We are happy to provide a refund upon return of the item as we normally would for any other customer. Thank you.

My artistic daughter playing on my phone order from a website that advertised real jewelry and sent costume jewelry instead worth pennies on the dollars and charge her hundreds of dollars. Scam site.

      Business response

      08/02/2023

The user made 0 effort to contact us in regards to this complaint. His account is only 5 days old. Instead of using our support ticket system to contact us or using the simple return links on the items, he instead chargedback on his credit card. He is certainly not going to be refunded twice for the items.  They have likely denied it or will deny it because he has not returned the items. The items are as described. We provide full gemology and materials for each item. We are not responsible for the negative comments from a third party, nor are we responsible for the use of the site by an autistic child, especially if the child is under 18. As per the terms of service, no one under 18 may use the site. It's important to read all descriptions, disclosures, and terms of service before using the site.  If the customer wants to be refunded on the items, they will need to return the items. They may log into the website, go to their 'Wy Wins' page, and follow the return links. If he needs help, he should contact support through the site. We provide excellent customer service and reply within 12 hours. Thank. you.

This site is designed to be deceptive. My personal deal of the day was a 1 gram silver bar, non government mint or collector worthy, for $45? For $1.50 worth of silver? Save your money, and buy from reputable sites, not ones with countless complaints and a website designed to decive you. $45? Lol just bought, name brand and collector desired, 100 gram bar sheet from valcambi for $158. Tired of hearing, we are not responsible for this that or the other, you made a website made to have people believe their buying seized items, when your really selling vaguely visible lots so people get screwed and you can wipe your hands and say it's not your fault cause you put up pictures. This is the biggest scam site in *****************. Go ahead deny and deflect everything I just said, I trade bullion, tell me how wrong I am.

      Business response

      07/04/2023

The customer is using the ******************** inappropriately to complain that the deal they were offered was not attractive enough or competitive enough for their liking.  That is not a valid reason to complain to the BBB.  If a bullion trader can obtain better deals elsewhere, there is nothing to prevent them from doing so.  We make full disclosures about the source of the items, including in the item description and the about us section of the website, which the user has chosen to ignore.  The customer never actually bought anything from us but did send us a support request with abusive comments and threats to broadcast their complaints to a large following on Tik Tok.  We suspect that this complaint is part of that campaign to self-aggrandize at our expense.  There is obviously no action we can take here, since they were never actually a customer.  We request that you remove the complaint as it is outside of the scope of normal BBB parameters.  Thank you for your consideration.

A couple months ago, I ordered numerous items from: PoliceAuctions.com... 52 items in fact, totaling over $5,000. Most every item I purchased had an appraised value of significantly more than the purchase price. I decided to get multiple pieces of jewelry appraised and they appraised for less than mere pennies on the dollar. This is a scam and I'm not at all happy because I did see they had a good BBB rating. I wish to have all items returned for a refund. I paid about $10 to have each item shipped as well and would like those fees refunded as well.

      Business response

      06/22/2023

Please note the customer in question made no attempt to contact us before contacting the BBB.  We do not provide appraisals for our items.  We are not responsible for 3rd party appraisals.  The following is listed under our bidding terms in the item descriptions:

"The red strike-through price that sometimes appears above items is a computer-generated asking price, not a value.  No value is implied by the strike-through price or any fraction thereof."

The return period for the items has expired, but in the interests of providing excellent customer service, we are willing to accept the items back and refund the customer, including the original shipping.  We will manually create the 53 RMA numbers for the customer.  She will need to return those to PoliceAuctions.com, **************************************************************  We recommend sending the items back insured, signature-required.  The customer should include the list of RMA numbers in the return box, failure to do so will delay processing.  Please allow up to 5 business days from receipt of the items back.  Thank you.
