      I am writing as a disgruntled customer as well as a journalist. I was given the Vans ***** Slip-on Sneakers recently as a gift. Within very short order, the inner soles came apart in multiple places as evidenced by the photos Ive provided. As you can see from the wear to the bottom, they are not that old; the issue is with the inside of the shoe. I asked the company to replace what is clearly a defective product, and they refused any assistance.

      On the date of 05/21/2022, I paid a total of $90.00 for a pair of vans. I read when I purchased the shoes that they would be "received" in 2 weeks, as advertised on their website and the order itself. On the 11th day, I had not received any update from Van's. The shoes were a birthday present and clearly were not going to be delivered on the two week ****. I emailed customer service and was told that it would now be "2-3 weeks" before they would be recieved. I emailed the customer service line again and requested a refund for the order, as it would not meet the advertised shipping time. I received a response from customer service staying that it is "3-4 weeks" simply for processing and an additional 4 days for shipping. This drastically different than the email sent the day before and what was advertised when I purchased the order. Van's is currently refusing to cancel the order and stating that I will have to physically return them to a store when they do eventually make it to my address. It is unclear why I must be without the $90 for several more weeks due to their lack of production.

      I purchased a Pair of Red *********************** Vans skate shoes i received them saturday april second. After trying them on and inspecting them discovering that these were infact complete garbage and not anywhere near the quality of shoe that i purchased when they were originally released in the 90s. I decided to return them unworn for a full refund. Vans after a week of trying to get ahold of their customer service which is complete trash as well issued a return label. I have verified that these were received by Vans on 4/28/2022 and signed by an FFRANK. i have yet to receive my refund. I am extremely angry and disappointed with this company. I have called multiple times and constantly receive a "were closed" message, I have emailed multiple times and received NO response and well as far as their chat customer support its NEVER available. I want my refund and an apology. Its unfair that they can immediately take payment but cannot be bothered to issue a refund in an acceptable amount of time.
