Despite an official recall extending coverage to ******* miles or 99 years, *** refused to honor the engine warranty. The vehicle, purchased in September 2023, developed overheating issues within four months, including:Coolant expulsion into the reservoir without ********************* coolant loss, causing reservoir overflow.Recurring engine overheating. After failed independent repairs, the vehicle was taken to *** ********************** in December 2024. The dealership was informed that the thermostat, radiator cap, and water pump had already been replaced with ***-authorized parts. They performed tests, suspecting a damaged gasket, estimating repairs at over $6,000 but assuring the service would be covered under warranty. The repair cost $2,071.A week later, the vehicle overheated again. The dealership purged air from the system, but the issue persisted. On February 3, 2025, the workshop manager acknowledged known issues with this engine batch, confirming an extended warranty applied. *** ********************** inspected the vehicle and determined the engine needed replacement under warranty.Days later, *** denied the claim, citing a failed gasket pressure test. Upon attempting to retrieve the vehicle, it was found to have lost power and would not accelerate. *** ********************** retained it for further inspection, later reporting complete engine failure. They initially assured a second warranty request but soon after denied it again, stating the only option was to buy a new engine and pay for repairs. This denial is unjustified, as the vehicle had persistent cooling system issues and a history of repairs before complete failure. *** ********************** previously acknowledged the warranty coverage and did not initially indicate any conditions that would void it. The vehicles worsening condition under dealership care raises serious concerns about accountability. *** must honor the extended warranty and provide the necessary engine replacement as initially promised.Initial Complaint

I am getting phone calls about every week from a call center in ***** trying to get me to come and get my car serviced. I never signed up to receive these phone calls and I am on the do not call list. I have picked up and told them to remove me from their call list twice and I have gone into the dealership to ask to be removed from this call list. I received another phone call today. Remove me from these call lists.Initial Complaint

We purchased a 2021 *** Seltos from a *** sister dealership, Hayward ********** in Jan 2023. The car had 33k miles on it at the time. By Dec *************************************************** Jan 2024 the check engine light turned on. We took the car into *********** in Feb 2024 and they sought to repair the issue. They kept our car until April 2024 as more issues continued to occur while in their possession. We were told the entire engine needed replaced during his time. We got the car back in April and as I drove it off the lot the check engine light came back on. I opened a complaint with *** corporate that day asking about lemon law. They told me we were not eligible because they fixed the issue. I had a baby in May ***************************************************** June 2024 the engine light went back on. ******* *** stopped answering my calls so we took the vehicle to Dublin Kia. They couldnt not make an apt until July. We got the car back at the end of July and the engine light came back on in August. We could not make an apt until sept. We got the car back and the light came back on at the end of sept. We couldnt get an apt until oct. again after having the car for 2 weeks the check engine light has come back on in November. I called *** corporate again in October to push for a buy back of the vehicle as its clearly defective. They told me they would escalate the issue. After waiting 2 weeks I called again and they told me they would reach out shortly. I have finally been in touch this week and was told we are no longer eligible for the lemon law but back as the law changed on Nov 1.Initial Complaint

I purchased a brand new *** 2023 Sportage in May of 2023 from ********** in ************. On the morning of December 17, 2023 I walked out to my car to find what appeared to be ice on the front grill. Upon further inspection it appeared to be that the grill had actually melted in some areas! There was absolutely no logical reason for this and I immediately called the nearest dealership, which is Dublin Kia. I made the appointment to have my car serviced and the front grill looked at. Yesterday, January 3, 2024, after the service and inspection were done, I was informed my car did not show any mechanical issues and a claim was filed with the warranty department. Later that evening, my service advisor, ***********************, called to tell me that the front grill was not covered under warranty and to follow up with the *** Consumer Affairs. My car is less than a year old, still under warranty and the grill is melting in the middle of winter with no known cause!!! I've included the total amount spent on the purchase of the new car not including the $431.40 service and inspection spent yesterday at Dublin Kia. Clearly, this is the manufacturer's responsibility and there is a defect in the quality of this product.Initial Complaint

The company messed up the transmission in my vehicle by filling the fluids incorrectly i was notified by Sunshine Auto after check engine light came on that my car has no leaks so there was no reason for the transmission fluid levels to be incorrect or under filled by 3/4. I have shown them proof/the document from Sunshine Auto stating the incorrect level of fluid and now burnt transmission fluid as well I also returned and paid for Infiniti of Dublin to run their own diagnostics to show the damages caused by the incorrect maintenance. I have also been in contact with corporate. The company ( Dublin Infiniti ) still refuses to do anything about the incident even with the proof/document from Sunshine Auto being shown to them that my car was incorrectly handled.
