I moved from ******** to ** with *********************************. My cost included Insurance for damages. Upon arrival the movers pointed out that my nightstand with marble tabletop was broken as I also realized my dining room ceiling fan was also broken. They advised to file a claim with Global PAC which I did; providing pictures and proof. They offered to pay $37 after months of waiting which I refused. Then my offer was cancelled. Dear Better Business Bureau,I am submitting a formal complaint against PacGlobal Insurance regarding the unjust denial of my insurance claim (#*******) for damages to my shipment handled by ************************************. The claim was rejected on the grounds that my shipment was in transit for more than 60 days, which they claim required extended coverage. However, after reviewing the insurance policy terms, it is clear that the coverage is provided until delivery, including an additional 60 days of storage if necessary, and does not impose a strict limit on transit duration.Despite submitting the claim in a timely manner and within the coverage parameters, PacGlobal has refused to honor the claim. I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau assist in addressing this dispute.Details of the Dispute:Shipment Received by **********: 06/25/2024 Delivered to Residence: 09/10/2024 Damage Notified to **********: 09/26/2024 Initial Claim Documentation Submitted to PacGlobal: 10/08/2024 Further Documentation Submitted: 12/10/2024 Claim Rejected: 02/25/2025 The ****************** of the policy explicitly state that coverage applies until delivery, with an additional 60 days of storage coverage if required, and makes no reference to a restriction on transit time. Given these terms, the denial of my claim is not supported by the policy. Complaint Against Pac Global Insurance: Unresolved Claim for Damaged, Lost, and Stolen Household Goods I am writing to file a formal complaint against Pac Global Insurance regarding their failure to resolve a claim for the damage, loss, and/or theft of my household goods during transit. Despite paying a substantial premium for coverage, including extra fees for specific high-value items, I have encountered unacceptable delays and a lack of resolution.Damaged, Lost, or Stolen Goods: Many of my household goods arrived in a damaged state, while others were lost or stolen during transit. These losses have caused significant financial and emotional distress.I filed a claim with Pac Global Insurance, providing all documentation promptly. Pac Global Insurance Broker has refused to pay out my insurance claim. I used Family Movers to move my home goods from ********* to *********. *** offered a payout of 647 SGD, which to this date has not been paid. The company will not advise when I can expect payment. The claim was opened August 14, 2024. This is what I wrote in my last correspondence:Thank you for your response. I understand that payment is contingent on funding from the Underwriters. However, as this claim has been pending for quite some time now, I would appreciate clarification on the expected timeline for when the Underwriters will release the funds. If there is any additional documentation or information needed on my end to expedite the process, please let me know. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hired ************************* for a "Full Door to ********************************* with Insurance provided by them" from ******* ***** to *************, on Nov/22/2023. And I payed for the service $19,625.00, plus $2,114.70 for insurance coverage. The container arrived on July/9th 2024 to the destination with lost and broken things due to lack of supervision and packaging! (Not what they committed to provide).I have contacted in several occasions "******************" which washes it's hands by sending me to contact the insurance company provided by them "Pac Global Insurance Company" which I contacted on Aug/13th 2024 putting a claim (#*******) on their webpage, but since them, even with several calls I haven't had any response from them.With "NO" response from them, since 2 months ago, and on the Pac Global Insurance webpage my claim still appears as under review (which is the first step of the complaint) I made the decision to File this Complaint through you and other associations.Initial Complaint

We paid for $35,000 worth of insurance. The moving company (******************) ruined many valuable items. When we filled out the form required by pac global, it was way too difficult for two elderly people so we paid a third party $300.00 to research all the damaged items and their worth. He filled out the report for us and went to great lengths to find the cost of various items some of which were artistic pieces and he found equivalent prices on the internet. Pac global denied many of the claims with no explanation. As an example, one signed framed poster sells on **** for $2,500-$5,000. When the glass was shattered, it cut into the poster in several places rendering it ruined.. Another example is a wall hanging of an ***** with a lace dress which we paid $400-$500 and it is irreplaceable as the artist has since died and Pac Global denied the claim completely. Another example is a hand made maple Birds Eye bowl for which we paid $400 and that was also denied even though the photos showed the chunk that was taken out of it. No explanation was given. Many of our items were not even put on our claim form and once you pressed a button, you could not go back and add anything. There were many items which we could not enter. To be complete we would like to include those items and the value. Donalds sport coat from ********************* for $1,000 and it looked like they had rolled it up in a a ball and even after getting it cleaned, it, it completely unusable now. The leather jacket (Remy) was damaged so much that it is refined and cannot be reconditioned either. My ****** brothers shoes had mildew all over them and Pac Global gave us nothing for those brand new shoes. These are just a few examples. They gave us nothing near what our items were worth but we finally gave up on getting a reasonable settlement and agreed to a small fraction. That was two and a half months ago and they keep telling us it is with the underwriters.Initial Complaint

On June 10, 2024, I accepted Pac Globals offer of $12,234 as a final payment for my claim. I have yet to receive any funds. Every time I call I get the same answer which is it is that the underwriters now have the case and we have no control over when the payment is sent. I have repeatedly asked for the manager of my claim, ***** ****, to call me back and she never calls. The amount I accepted for my claim was substantially less than the amount I requested. I purchased this insurance because I was shipping all of my household goods across an ocean. There was substantial damage done and I have already paid for the repairs. Pac Global devalued my items to a ridiculous low amount. For example, a piece of original artwork was broken during the move and PAC Global felt it could be glued back together and would not reimburse me for the now completely worthless item.I accepted their low offer because I simply got tired of dealing with them. And now that I have accepted their offer they dont want to pay and I cant get anyone to call me back. I asked to speak with ***** ***** supervisor and was told she doesnt have one.I am very hopeful that the BBB can help me get paid.Initial Complaint

After a cancellation of a relocation to the **, I had to regain control over everything I owned. I hired a moving company that destroyed, damaged and didn't deliver certain items at all. From the ocean shipping company, I paid for an insurance policy to cover my belongings in such case my items were in a state other than what they were once I turned responsibility of my belongings over to said parties.After filing a claim. I have yet to receive any reimbursement, any notification or timeline as to the reimbursement. When I have contacted Pac Global, I am told two weeks or told to contact a broker located in the **. I have contacted the ** broker multiple times who refers me back to Pac Global. This back and forth has been perpetual for months and I have lost all patience. I need for Pac Global to disperse the reimbursement and close my claim, as in it's current form is seriously impacting my life. I still have all destroyed and damaged items as I have not been given any instruction allowing me to dispose of and I will not pursue repair of, or replacement of my items without being reimbursed.Initial Complaint

I have filed a claim for insurance with PAC Global for damages received for my shipment of household goods/furniture from the ** to ********* in December 2023.My claim was finalized and approved on January 19, 2024 and I was informed that my claim would be paid within three months. It has now been over 4 months and I cannot get anyone to answer my phone calls, return my messages, or provide me with any updates on my claim that is of use. I hired La **** del Monte ****** to pack and move my entire household from ***********, ******** to ************, ******* and purchased movers insurance, especially since there were several valuable art pieces and antiques included. The moving company offered professional handling of these items and I had used them successfully to handle such items several times before. On May 11, 2023, all inventory was accounted for and shipping invoice paid in full. On June 9, 2023, all boxes arrived and were placed inside my new home by the La **** del ************* who proceeded to open each and every box as this is part of the service contracted. It was found that three items were badly broken. The movers noted that the packaging of the art and antique items broken was inadequate and immediately worked with me to initiate the claim. After much back and forth and delays on the part of the insurance company, Pac Global Insurance Brokerage, Inc., the claim was approved in its entirety and I accepted the settlement. Months transpired with no final resolution on the payment and it was not until early this year that a Pac Global employee indicated that the payment was approved in January 2024 for payment in March 2024. It is now May 13 and the payment has not been received nor are there any responses to my calls or e-mails. See proof of award settlement plus photos of broken items. The fact that the items were broken has greatly reduced their market value; however, the insurance was limited to repair or replacement. I am requesting that they release the monies for this purpose immediately sincd they have been approved and there is no reason for this undue delay of full approved settlement payment.
