      Mangers at ********, ********** location were extremely rude and lacking of common decency. I dropped my ****** card at the register on Monday the 13th of February. Upon realizing it was not in my possession I called the store. I was informed it was found. I told them I was on my way to ******** so I would not be able to pick it up right away. I was told they will hold it for me and they took my name and number down. I come in to pick it up and its no where to be found. I am immediately given attitude and no real solutions. Not even an apology for misplacing my property. ****** was the manager that found my card and put it on hold for me. What he actually did was leave it on the counter next to the register. Resulting in it being missing now. I spoke to **** about the situation and he was extremely rude and unapologetic basically blaming me for a mistake made on their end without any remorse. The management has been everything but sympathetic. Very short and very rude with me. My experience with Big 5 has been very unsatisfactory and I have never received such bad customer service. The item I purchased from the store was left with security tag on so I was not able use on my ski trip. My worst customer service experience ever. The managers I spoke to were, ****, ******, and ****.

      Visited ***********,**. Big 5 ibeleive in Nov. Saw. A newer version of a propane stove I purchased that was 10 dollars more than original version.asked manager on duty,******* if I could return version I purchased for newer model. He tells me to bring it in as long as I have receipt he would exchange for newer version for 10 dollar difference. ***** weighs approximately sixty pound,I bring my purchased stove in,salesperson tells me to put it on pile,5 ft. High and get the one I want. Another manager comes by tells me he will not honor deal to leave store. I move these heavy items again because of managers,items lifted and moved 8 times. Box pokes hole in my arm and sustain a severe abdominal muscle strain, I am 63 years old. I return to store ,speak to liar ******* (manager) who claims he never agreed to a deal. Return to store 2 days before Christmas and purchase a few items. Feel price is high ask cashier to check prices and am told everything is right. Get home look at receipt and was overcharge *********************************************************************** if I don't like it to shop elsewhere, that they call me the complainer. Ask for manager to address cashiers rudeness and she comes to counter and says I'm the complainer,I am used as part of there training. When I ask manager her name and cashiers name who started the bullting I am told they can't give me their names though they wear name tags. Call big 5 customer service to finally complain about lying manager *******,being bullied by two young ladies who don't no what respect is. I get *******,head of customer service and once again am bullied,told I am the complainer. I tell her to please let me no when I have complained to her ever since she is in front of a computer. She searches computer and tells me that 2and a half years prior I told someone to go f*** themselves. To not go back to big 5 ever. Liars making things up,being bullied and called names by managers. All unacceptable

      This individual has contacted Big 5 Sporting Goods on numerous occasions, of which we have documented correspondence. With regard to the situation mentioned in this complaint and despite the misrepresented information provided, every effort was made to reach a reasonable resolution with the customer. Unfortunately, ************** remained abusive and excessively inappropriate with employees (both at the store and corporate levels). Due to his behavior, ************** has already been informed that we will no longer be doing business with him and he is not welcome back in our stores.

      I am rejecting this response because:of equality act.beig disrminated and bullied for age,race and my disability. Big 5 never attempted any resolution. Customer disservice accepted lying racist statement,manager ******* who instigated all issues here and ******* in customer service listened to lies and decided to ban me never wanting to here my side. They all call me the complainer,bullying,,while customer service could not find a instance in her computer were I complained. All she found is I cursed once in 50 years of shopping there. Part of epilepsy. Lying,prejudice and discrimination and all workers refusing to call me by name are completely unacceptable.equality act spells this out completely.left with medical bills after corporation ask me to go to doctor for injury,then after I've seen doctors,had ultra sound big 5 risk management says my claim is denied because of ******* statements. Sick of racist.

      Do not buy from this store online! I bought two packs of socks for my partner in October which, with shipping totaled ******* They didn't fit so we sent both packs back for refund. I only received ****** back ! Big 5 said they do not refund your original shipment amount and take return shipping out of your refund amount. Rip off.

      Hello! I recently purchased a blow up bed, and once I got it home an attempted to blow it up the bed was defective with small wholes, so the bed would stay inflated. I called the location we're I purchased it from and spoke to a manager, he told me that I could only return it for something equal value or more. So brought it in and looked around the store for an hour, for items that would meet his instructions. I didn't need another blow up bed, so I found other items. He also told me that it was the managers discretion, on using the money for a bed or other items. While shopping the manager, that approved for me to get equal value of items. Left home without letting me know (******) and a new manger came on duty (****). Once I was done shopping a brought my items up to the register and found out that the mangers switched out and now **** was in charge, I explained to him what the previous Manger told me, **** did not want to honor that, he said that that wasn't Policy and that he wouldn't honor that because it's not Policy. He said he didn't know why the other Manger agreed to that, but he wasn't he also said that the other guy could get in trouble for telling me, because it's not Store Policy. I then told him that we wasted 1hr searching for item to spend and I didn't need another bed, I also didn't want a refund I just wanted a store credit to use at a different time on items I may need, because I'm a frequent customer at that location. I got a little upset because I was told one thing and then another, and still left with any new bed with holes and no outcome to why I came ther in the first place. Is there any way to get the fixed or am I out of $58.17

      I purchased a pair of cleats from this store/site. The cleats did not fit and the representative was unable to tell me the refund amount and stated there was no supervisor to transfer me to. They are not refunding my sales tax per the representative and I have to pay an additional fee to return them. Do not do business with this company. I would like to know the amount of my refund as well as why this company gets to keep the sales tax when an item is returned.

      I recently purchased a pair of shoes from Big 5 sporting goods, ****** tenis shoes, and the same day these shoes fell apart, the sole detaching from the shoe, in what is clearly damaged goods. And i am assamed Big 5 sells defective products like this.

      The worse experience ever. The ******* and the employee name ( Atena). They saw me walk in with my return and they asked if I needed it in Spanish. I said why? Why do you assume I am Spanish speaker? The ******* then proceeded to say he didn't had to do anything for me. I need my refund as my card got charge twice.

      Dear Better Business Bureau, Last month in January, I returned some kids shoes that I received as a gift. I was given store credit for all the shoes and I have the receipts for the refund at ******* Big 5 and at ******* **** ****** Big 5 for the return. Yesterday on February 2nd I went to the Big 5 Store at ******* **** ****** to use the store credit. There was a hold on the store credit. The store manager attempted to call the Corporate office but they were closed. I immediately called the corporate office today at 8:00 in the morning the phone number of the coporate office is **************, they will still not release the credit owed to me on the store credit. I demanded the return of the shoes they will not do that. They said that they need more information about where the shoes were purchased, with what card and time of purchase. I told her that the purchase was made at their *************** Big 5 in ********, it is now closed. I was given the lowest selling price that the shoe came up as. Big 5 Corporate and customer service said that they couldn't locate that shoe at that store. I was told by the customer service person named ******* that they can't bring up the inventory for a store that is closed. That is not my fault. I provided them with the place the shoes were purchased, bought with a **** and time frame of the shoe, at the time the store was closing in about 1 year ago. I provided them with this information and they both hung up on me. I should be able to get the merchandise back if the store credit is on hold. They took the shoes and will not return them back to me or provide me with store credit. What should I do? Can you please talk to them about the store credit that is on hold? They will not release them or give me the kids shoes back. I talked with ******* and the corporate, this is not right, this is fraud. They need to do something I have provided them with the information and they will not help me. Can you please help me?

      On 12/16/2021, I had a 2PM appointment with the ********** store ******* ****** for the purchase of a firearm. I arrived at the store at 1:57PM at which time an employee informed me that ****** was still at lunch and that it was not 2PM. I asked what time it was, she told me 1:55Pm (again, it was 1:57PM). I asked if someone could let her know I was there and they said they could not. I left to run an errand and came back 15 minutes later. I stood at the firearms counter for 10 minutes before ****** came out to assist me for our agreed upon appointment. She was holding the firearm for me and when I asked if it was the display model, she informed me it was and so I told her that I did not want the display and asked if the had another new in box. She said they did not and said, "Oh well have a nice day!" very rudely and as she walked away, in a low voice called me a "****." I asked her what she said and discuss with her calling me a **** as she did and very flippantly she yelled at me, "I TOLD you to have a nice day." To reiterate, her tone was very indignant and flip. It was in fact so rude, that other customers became alerted and concerned. I then walked to the check-out counter to ask the cashier for ******** supervisor's name and as I was doing so, she called the cashier via the phone intercom so all could her and informed him to "ignore me and not do anything" and as well said, "if he wants to be an adult and ask for information, he can talk to me." Again, she walked away from me as she called me a **** and then has the audacity to make remarks like that over an intercom? I walked back to her area at which time I asked for her supervisors name and contact information. She refused to give me any information at all other than the Big 5 **************** phone number, this would include not giving me her last name.
