    If I could give Toyota of Escondido zero stars, I would. Our experience with this dealership has been an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.We purchased a 2021 Toyota Highlander from them, thinking we were investing in quality and reliability. What we got instead was a lemon that has become a constant source of stress and frustration.Every three months, like clockwork, we find ourselves stranded with a dead battery. It's become a routine to call AAA for a jumpstart and battery replacement. This is not what anyone expects when buying a brand-new car.We've taken the Highlander back to Toyota of Escondido ten times now, hoping for some assistance or at least an acknowledgment of the issue. But each time, we've been met with nothing but excuses and a refusal to take any responsibility.Their customer ********************** is shockingly poor. They brush off our concerns, suggesting it must be something we're doing wrong or that we're not driving the car correctly. Really? Is that the best they can offer?It's clear that once they've made the sale, Toyota of Escondido couldn't care less about the customer experience. We're stuck with a lemon of a car, facing constant inconveniences and expenses.Save yourself the headache and avoid Toyota of Escondido at all costs. They sell faulty cars and wash their hands of any responsibility once you drive off the lot. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Your wallet and sanity will thank you.

    I didn't leave happy with the outcome of my car. I would liked the management team to have done way more than what they did for my extended warranty. I know they did what they could but after being a customer of ********************** of Esco for more than a decade. It makes me think twice if I want to even go back and do business with them all not just alone but, even purchase a car. I mean ***** the service guy was amazing! I can testify to that but, in other words I'm beyond disappointed as far as the management team that didn't do more for me due to my car issues and the future will decide if I want to come back as a customer because, it affected me so much due to the money that I had to invest! my car has sentimental value to me and it just went to show how much Toyota cared for me and along with the extended warranty and didnt do much to take care of me as a customer! I believe that should have been their job! I dont want any customer to go through what I went through! I am angry at the fact that I didn't leave satisfied so I am being honest and transparent as I can be. unfortunately, I paid for an extended warranty in which they didnt cover and then had to pay Toyota of Esco to have my car taken out and still then get my car fixed with ***** tires and pay for a new motor! unfortunately they lost a very good customer because, of that stupid warranty company! I didn't even get offered a rental. I paid so much money out of pocket to buy a car to get to get me to work! I had no choice! where was the customer ********************** on their part? All other customers should know this! Toyota of Esco was supposed to take care of me but, they didnt So this is the review you're getting and all thanks to the extended warranty. There isn't much more to say. I wish things would of been different with you all and now I'm going to go to another dealership and establish a new relationship with new service advisors and new sales guys and my hope is that my experience will be better than at Toyota.

    Warranty is a sham, and truck parts will break on tundra and they know about it and will not cover them! Purchased new 2022 Toyota Tundra truck. After **** miles the plastic cover on the driver's side seat adjustment broke off. This is a design flaw in the truck. This is the cover that is between the door and the seat that hold the seat adjustment device. Today I went in to make an appointment to get an oil change as I have ***** miles on the truck and have them look at the plastic peice. I talked with the people there and they stated that this is not covered by warranty. I asked if this was a common problem and they said it was, infact it's so common that there is a back order on the part. I asked how much will it cost ad they said just over $200. $130 for the part and about $90 for install. They also said you can order the part and install yourself. Inside in parts confirmed it was $130 + tax with 3 on back order for this location. 1. So, the truck has a major design flaw that they know about that only has 5k miles of life and will break again.2. They will not cover the part even though the truck is under warranty.3. They are knowingly profiting off of said design flaw.Why in good faith would I purchase another Toyota. On top of that when I purchased the truck from toyota ********. it was priced 4k over bluebook. When asked why, they stated because they can. At lest I got they to toss in side steps. Little good that did as the part on the chair broke. The person in service said it broke from me just getting in and out of the vehical. There was nothing diffrent I could have done. That pat just breaks a lot for almost everyone. Way to go Toyota, a little profiteering.

    Parts are a ripoff. A switch I bought from the parts department cost 124 dollars. Same part different dealership was half that price. Tried to get consideration from the parts manager. His answer was the dealership is privately owned and each dealership sets their own price. In other words pricing is arbitrary at best. If you need anything for your toyota shop around. I would not recommend toyota of Escondido for anything. I regret recommending a friend to buy a new car from them. Thanks

    *** service advisor ************************* recommended to repair the front brakes replacing the pads which had 30% remaining of and resurface. *** same service was performed 14 months ego with ***** miles. *** car now has ***** miles, and it is not possible that the brakes needed the resurface again. *** advice provided misrepresented the need of the car. I was given wrong information about the condition of my car.

    horrible experience. I was given wrong information about the condition of my tires on truck to buy 4 tires from them. Total ripoff. I made an appointment with the service manager to discuss. She was rude, insulting and condescending. She basically threw me out of her office. In May 2022 I took my truck to Toyota Escondido shop for a service and a TIRE PRESSURE check since I was going on a road trip. *** technician told me he can not check the pressure but will let their TIRE ESPECIALIST to call me about the tires. Couple hours later, I received a call from the tire specialist who informed me that my tires are in DANGEROUS CONDITION and may blow up if I go on a road trip. He then mentioned a TIRE SALE is going on and he definitely recommends me to get new tires. Scared enough, and rusting him to be the specialist, I agreed to the change of tires. Later on, my husband informed me that the tires on the truck were only about 2 1/2 years old. We had bought 4 new tires when the car had ****** miles on it. When I was told my tires were in dangerous condition, the car had 70, 000 miles. *** tires have been used only for ****** miles. *** dangerous new tires with ***** miles warranty could be after ***** miles? *** truck has only ***** miles in 12 years. It is our secondary car. We do not drive it much and definitely did not abuse the tires. ***re was no way the tires could have been as bad as the tire specialist told me just to sell. A total ripoff. I requested an appointment with the service manager. An extremely condescending experience. At first, she did not want to see me. I insisted that I will make a complaint with the customer **********************. ***n with a very rude and insulting manner, and in a totally unfriendly and respectful environment, she listened to me, said nothing wrong was done, and then basically threw me out of her office.Don't go there. ***y are total ripoff. and the service manger is extremely rude and condescending.

    Oh dear where to begin imagine bringing your car for service like youve been doing it for the last almost 7 years, of course I would do that I have a Prius where else should I take it? My last service was March 10th I paid $800+ I took it to **** for 4 days, did not drive it while we were there, and when we came back there was a beep, I made an app and the next day I realized there was no oil in my car, like wtf I just took it for service. I went to talk to *******************************, I believe thats her name, not very approachable lady btw, and she said oh we need to diagnose your car and you need to pay $300 to find out whats up Im like I just brought my car here I dont understand what type of service you offer if you didnt check my oil? she said your oil was fine it clearly wasnt if it only lasted me one week! She said its your responsibility to check the oil then why the * should I bring my car here then?? Everything she was telling me it didnt make any sense at all. I asked her why do I need to pay for a diagnosis when the car did leave the dealer in a poor condition? Why did I just paid $800+ for? isnt your job to check my car up and down when I bring it here? You know what she said? when you bring the car here they tell you what it needs by just looking at it, its literally what their eyes can see its wrong what kind of BS is this? I dont even know if anyone from Toyota escondido will see this but this is extremely disappointing and I truly believe they are just taking advantage on people. Super shady and totally untrustworthy. People dont go there and do yourself a favortake your business elsewhere.
