On 1/24/24 I filed a claim because my storage lock was cut, and someone stole some items. I provided pictures of missing items. Their saying a cut lock doesnt count for theft but my items were missing, police report was filed, pics were taken and it just seems their not trying to pay me for my items

I was notified of my storage unit being unlocked and a mess by a vm from the manager of the storage facility. I immediately went to the facility and noticed that my unit was locked. I opened the unit and saw everything tossed and turned and stolen within the unit. The manager just so happened to walk past me and I asked if my unit had been broken into. He said that it had and handed me a paper to write down the items that were missing. He said that the police had already caught the guys and I needed to mail the paper back to the police documenting what had been stolen. I mailed it back, submitted all the necessary documents and I receive a letter saying that they are still missing pictures of my lock showing that it was damaged and broken into. As if the police report isnt enough! How tf am I supposed to show a damaged lock when the lock wasnt damaged when I got there. The pictures clearly show my unit in disarray. Whats the point of paying for insurance if they really dont want to compensate you for something that you had no control over. Im pretty sure the manager has already fixed the lock so that someone else couldnt get into it. They stole my ******** Switch and my ***** belt and Im livid! This makes entirely no sense at all and I will be getting a lawyer.

I filed a claim through this insurance company due to one of my personal items being damaged while at the public storage. I filed this claim on 12/3 regarding my broken picture. The adjuster contacted me once and left a voicemail late in the evening. Each time I call her back, which I have called every business day of the week and only get her voicemail. You contact the public number listed for orange door customer support and only receive a voicemail but never a returned call. This frame was purchased for $400 and it was broken possibly when public storage threw my lock into storage unit when they cut my lock. This property was insured and there is no active communication from the insurance company.

My storage unit was broken into and I have filed a claim. I have been waiting weeks to hear back from a claims adjuster to proceed with the claim so I can replace my items. I have a camera that was taken that I use for my business and Ive had to cancel events due to this. I have called the supervisor and the person assigned to my case and the voicemail is full for the supervisor and the adjuster just doesnt answer or return calls.

When i first intially put my stuff into Public Storage ***** ********** ** Southfied. I had an outside unit of which when i got there someone else was in my unit and there was a lock on it. Then they advised that there was nothing they could do at this point but to just offer me another unit. I then moved my things into the unit that was offered to me. Now 2 months later I received a phone call from the Storage company advising there is a leak in my unit. I then go to the storage company to review the damages and it damged my couch, shoes my sons toys, coffe table, air fryer, mattress and box springs. I have tried to reach out the the so called insurance company that they make you sign up for Orange Door. i spoke with one young lady to get it started but nothing since. I am livid. These are my things my sons things all we have and you have taken that away without regard to anyone else. You are selfishly ignoring phone calls of which i have mad numerous times to the District manager ******* who is located in *******. I have left numerous messages. I will be informing any and everyone I know to not use this storage company because they are inconsiderate trifling disrespectful. I will be moving forward with speaking the **************** as well as Fox2. I also have numerous pictures to prove my case.

This began in April of 2023. Our storage unit has major water leaking through the top from the excessive amount of rain *********** received. We lost antiques. We lost our clothes. We lost our furniture. ********/Orange Door (*********************** representative) never returned our phone calls or emails and then a denied letter just arrives one day. We provided proof of what was lost to him. We filled out the paperwork that was asked of us. We are still at a loss and what like to receive our maximum coverage payout of $5000. This went on until August 2023.

I had a storage unit that was insured through Orange door as a requirement for rental of a Public Storage unit. My unit was burglarized alone with about a dozen others. I filed a police report and then my claim with orange door and returned all information requested to proceed with my claim. I havent heard anything back from them yet and this was done at the beginning of September it is now almost December. I have emailed and left several voicemail messages and even requested a supervisor to call me back and never received that call. So I made a new claim and thought I got somewhere after speaking to a new adjuster whom said she was going to start a new claim and that was a week ago, I am still waiting for the new claims documents which I never received like I was told Id be receiving by mail and email. I have received nothing. So I guess by all the other complaints I seen on here I may have to reach out to the states attorney to receive relief of my loss!! Especially since I think it was a inside job!

I rented a storage space from Public storage. They are billing me for insurance I dont need. The insurance company is ***** Door Insurance Company. I have tried to cancel the insurance with them. I emailed them several times. The email they have keeps coming back as undeliverable. I also have sent them an email within their help contact. They say you can cancel but they make it so difficult.Very frustrating.

My storage unit had water damage, mold, and mysterious liquid leaking into my space from a unit next to mine. A large amount of my property was damaged and molded and I immediately filed an insurance claim on October 29, 2023 and documented all damaged property for the claim. It has been more than 18 days since I filed a claim on October 29, 2023 (claim ##4A2310XMC8W-0001), and I am still waiting for an examiner to contact me with updates about my damaged property. I've had a unit at this location for a long, long time, years in fact. Paying on time..and paying 11 dollars a month for "insurance".I filed my 1st claim due to vermin infestation. I had to throw most of my damaged items out. The rest? I don't know about you but I'm not going to use the rest of items. Its gross. And unsanitary. Who knows what these rats carry? It's sickening. I feel very violated.Initially I was told my claim would be honored. That they covered vermin damage. Just got the letter of denial. Now they don't. Even the $150($250-$100 deductible) would not cover my loss. But it's a slap in the face to not even get that measly amount. Why even have insurance then? Because it's required by public storage. I read all these horror stories about orange door. I guess it's my turn now. All those years of paying insurance for what? I respectfully request that my insurance claim rightfully be honored, but I doubt it. "Loopholes" are alive and well I see.
