    I purchased a wired license plate through ********************** for my car. Since then, i sold my car and attempted to switch the license plate number on my electronic plate as the car is no longer in my possession and i have a new car. I have been informed by reviver that California changed their laws, I can no longer use the wire plate and that i need to switch to a battery plate which i need to pay, additionally i need to pay the remaining on my contract on the wire plate even though I can't use it due to a change in regulations. I have no problem paying for a switch, however, i can't pay for a service that they can no longer offer me.

    I was unable to renew my plate through the reviver app after multiple attempts. It continuously said *** is off-line. Because I was running out of time and Wood incurred a late fee. I went directly to the *** site and was able to pay the registration before the plate expired.Reviver updated my plate, but change the appearance without my consent In order to restore my plate to its original Parents, I am required to jump through numerous hoops I purchased a plate I was told renewing my registration would be less difficult when in fact, it has multiple steps to the renewal process and had I not taking the matter into my own hands and went directly to the *** my tags wouldve expired When I contacted ***************** the ref was extremely unsympathetic, bordering on confrontational I now have a useless several hundred dollar license plate and because when I got my ********************** plate, they changed my license plate number. I now have to go get new plate which is an additional cost and even more time-consuming.This product is not what they say it is they should not be allowed to have a monopoly and you should not have to eat the costof the plate

In these situations, we do offer additional solutions for processing your registration renewal but need customers to reach out. Regarding the default setting of your license plate, which features a white background with black letters, this can occur when there is an update to your plate, such as a change in your tags. We understand that this can be unexpected, but the good news is that you can easily change it through the Reviver app. As per your request, we have canceled your service plan and issued a prorated refund on 05/09/2025.     I purchased a digital plate for $500 based on advertising that I could do certain things with the plate only to find out that its not true. You cannot put anything that you want on the tag line as advertised. Arizona residents cannot even customize at all. False advertising and then refused a refund.

    Were sorry to hear about your disappointment regarding the Custom Banner Message feature. To clarify, user-requested banner messages are not currently supported on any Arizona license plate. This limitation is due to state regulations, and unfortunately, its not something we are able to override. We strive to communicate this clearly and have it noted both on our website and in all marketing materials specific to *******. However, there are several pre-approved messages available to Arizona drivers with the Standard plate type. That said, we completely understand how frustrating it can be when expectations dont align with the final experience.     I will also start a class action suit if I am not partially refunded for the lies that got me to buy the plate. ****, lies and more lies. BBB is a step towards filing a suit!

    A friend of mine moved out of state and sold me his reviver license plate. I called the ********************** support and they told me they need to check if the plate can be transferred. After a week or 2 they got back to me and said that the plate is wired and can not be transferred. They asked me to send the license plate back to them so they can send me a battery powered plate. I sent my plate and it was delivered to them on 03/06/2025. Since then I called them ALMOST every day and they always told me someone is going to call me for more info. I requested to talk with a supervisor. They told me a supervisor will call me in 20 mins. I waited 24 hours no one called. I called back. The lady who was a "Supervisor" did not even care what I am saying. I have been literally begging them to send the license plate back to me (my own plate) for the last 2 weeks almost. They keep saying the same thing "We will request this from our team". I still did not receive any tracking info or anything from them. I CAN NOT BELIEVE DMV IS TRUSTING THESE GUYS WITH THIS PROCESS!!!!! THESE PEOPLE LITERALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!DO NOT BUY THE LICENSE PLATE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THEY WILL MAKE YOU HATE YOUR LIFE!!!

    Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. I truly apologize for the frustration you've been experiencing, and I understand how disappointing this situation has been. After thoroughly reviewing your case, I would like to inform you that the reason your RPLATE cannot be activated is because the device was purchased from a third party and it appears that the previous owner of the plate has an outstanding balance on the device, which is preventing it from being transferred and activated in your name. Unfortunately, until that balance is settled, we are unable to proceed with the activation of the plate. We received your RPLATE on 03/06/2025 and reached out to you on 03/10/2025 and let you know that 
    the previous owner of the plate has an outstanding balance on the device. On 03/12/2025 you contacted us to let us know that the previous owner of the plate has paid off the ****** and we confirmed with our billing team that no recent payments were made and that there is still an outstanding balance on the device. At this point you reached out to us on 03/17/2025 and requested to cancel the transfer process and asked us to ship the RPLATE back to you. As of 03/18/2025 have shipped the RPLATE back to you and provided you with the tracking information.

    I am rejecting this response because: It took you almost 2 weeks to confirm the balance was not paid off. I saw the person paying the balance in front of me. Maybe it did not go through that's normal BUT I called you guys ALMOST every day for 2 weeks and you could not confirm that it was not paid. If a company can not confirm this simple info in ***** hours ( It takes 5 minutes to go into any system to check or confirm the payment info) , then you have a huge problem. STOP WASTING people's time. I am glad this did not work out for me because I would hate to deal with such customer service for my registration etc process. Now it make sense why everyone is leaving bad reviews and no one likes to keep using your product. I am telling all my customers to stay away from this company as well.

    I feel like I am being extorted by Reviver. I paid upfront for my plate and was under the impression all I would owe going forward is DMV registration fees but Reviver actually charges yearly fees apparently to continue service which I did not know about. They are very misleading and their website is not clear regarding their fees and their contracts. All I want is to put my standard CA plate on and pay for my registration but they are holding my vehicle hostage and say they wont let me out of a 4 year contract. If I knew any of these terms I would NEVER have purchased an Rplate. I am very disappointed and will be looking into legal action against them. Also, as previous posts have said they have horrible customer service and you cannot talk to anybody over the phone in my experience. You will get an unhelpful email the following day. They have a phone number and supposed phone support but I dont believe they even have an office or anyone working the phones. I am extremely disappointed and regretful I ever did business with Reviver.

To clarify, when you purchased the RPLATE in 2023 we were offering the RPLATE with a 48-month commitment and breaking up the cost of the device and the service. Payments could be made monthly or annually. Since then, we have changed our pricing structure to where you pay for the device up front and then you are responsible for selecting a service plan. While our contract terms are typically binding, we do aim to work with our customers where possible to address concerns and offer solutions. I saw that our billing team reached out with a solution but if thats not agreeable, were open for discussion.     I am rejecting this response because:

    i am finally aware now of what the charges of having an Rplate are and i would have never made the purchase if I had known. Unacceptable business tactics and ways of getting customers. Not to mention now I cant pay my registration unless I agree to Revivers terms and pay off the plate that I want to return. I was given the option of paying the current price of an Rplate for $500 and then either accepting a yearly subscription or after paid i can remove my Rplate and put my state issued back on. So what i unknowingly signed up for is $928 for 4 years of having an Rplate. Now they are charging $500 for the plate and $75 per year if you want to be able to pay your DMV fees through the app so thats basically its $800 for 4 years. If Reviver would have been upfront about their charges they would have had less customers but a much better reputation. What a waste of time and money, I am still very disappointed.

    I purchase the Rplate 2 years ago and although the setup was slow it has generally worked well. I was living in ********** during the time but have recently moved to **. Rplates are illegal in ** so Ive had to switch to regular license plate. ********************** is refusing to cancel my subscription, stating that I am locked into a 4 year contract. So yeah, this company is terrible. Do not do business with them unless you are certain your vehicle will never be registered in another state. Even then dont do business with them because they are shady, hide contract details, rarely if ever respond to email inquiries and are all around a terrible company.

    I have made several attempts to contact Reviver regarding my RPLATE and its inability to update my registration. I have deleted and redownloaded the app, I have ensure I have the latest app update and nothing, I have reset the plate, I have sent screen shots to Reviver Support, I have emailed the executive team and still nothing! I have been issued a fix it ticket for expired registration despite paying for a subscription and supposedly being able to update the plate. The plate is useless without being able to update and Reviver keeps wanting to charge without allowing the plate to update. They are extortionist and fraudulent. NO ONE at this company is willing to help resolve the issue.

I see that you requested to cancel your service on 09/01/2023 and we assisted you with deactivating your RPLATE and unlinking it from your vehicle. Then on 07/25/2024 you requested reactivate the RPLATE and we requested that you upload your updated vehicle registration in the Reviver app. On 07/31/2024 we reached out to you letting you know that your updated vehicle registration was uploaded and updated on your account, and we provided you with instructions on how to link your vehicle to your RPLATE in the Reviver app. From that point we did not hear back from you and closed your support ticket. After receiving this message, I personally reached out to you and left you multiple voicemails and emailed you instructions on how to link your vehicle to your RPLATE in the Reviver app on 11/19/2024. We are waiting to hear back from you so we can assist you with linking your RPLATE.

    I am rejecting this response because: I have not received any voice messages, I have however, received various calls from numbers I do not recognize, perhaps these are robots calls, but there are no voice messages.  I have already deleted the app, re-installed the app, pressed the button, repaired the plate to the app, adjusted Bluetooth settings and jumped through several other hoops. The plate flashes, the bluetooth symbol flashes and yet the plate still does not update with my updated registration. I have continued to reach out via support from the app and have continued to express the issues with not being able to get my plate updated with no resolve.

    On 9/23 i ordered a plate for $599.00 with tax the total was ******. I received the order with a serial number *****************. After the plate went on sale i called to see if the company would price match, i was told no they could not price match since i used the payment affirm.I returned the item, no one mentioned a shipping cost.On 10/3 i purchased a plate for $520.00 serial number **************************************** i received a refund of $495.00. I'm telling the company they refunded me the wrong plate. I cant resolved this issue with them and need help.I want the right order refunded

    On 09/20/2024 you placed an order for an RPLATE (Order number: ********** Serial Number ***************** for $685.39). You contacted us on 10/03/2024 requesting a price adjustment. We advised you that we would need to escalate this issue internally, however, before we could respond, you placed a second order on 10/03/2024 (Order number: ********** Serial Number ***************** for $520.12). We contacted you on 10/04/2024 to inform you that we can honor the price adjustment, and you advised us that you had placed another order at the lower price and would like to return the first order. We then provided you with a return label. Instead of returning serial number ***************** that is/was linked to the first order you placed, you sent us Serial Number ***************** which is/was linked to the second order placed. This is why we issued a refund for the second order you placed and not the first. We apologize for any inconvenience that you experienced. Unfortunately, this is how our fulfillment process works to ensure the right item is supported externally and internally. As of today, you opted to cancel both orders and refunds have been issued for both since both items were returned.

    I am rejecting this response because: this is false information.  How could I have returned the second plate. I returned the first plate the same day I ordered the second plate.  I didn't have the second plate is my possession.  I should be refunded the shipping on the second plate because I had to return it to make myself whole with the money.     Horrible customer service..my refund is minus the shipping so I did pay for shipping. Like I said the second return was on the company. I had to return to get my correct refund. Being a new company seems like the focus woukd be on customer service.  I was going to actually order another plate since I recieved both refunds.     Reviver is engaging in extortion. They are withholding my vehicle registration update unless I pay for a service plan. If I pay, then they will push the vehicle registration and update my plate (extortion). I do not want a service plan. I did however, pay for the electronic plate, which should entitle me to my state paid and legally required registration.

    I am rejecting this response because the dealer did not inform me of a plan being required for a functioning plate. There was not a chance to read the terms and conditions before purchasing at the dealer. Since I paid quite a lot of money for this plate, it is reasonable to assume the plate would still be usable even without a plan. Updating my registration is my requested requirement.

    Seems like a terrible business plan to render a license plate illegal unless I pay for your plan.

    People need to know that your company engages in extortion even after you buy the plate. No where on the front page of your website does it warn people about the plate being worthless unless you have a plan.

    And buried in the fine print are the following statements which are not specific or clearly specified. 

    "Without an active Subscription, the RPLATE will be unable to access any of the Services. In the event that your Subscription is terminated, cancelled or suspended after activation, the RPLATE will continue to display the state logo, the license plate number and year and month of the registration for the period of that particular registration. You are responsible to renew your vehicle registration and ensure that your registration information is displayed per applicable state regulation."

    or

    "THE RPLATE REQUIRES AN ACTIVE AND PAID SUBSCRIPTION FOR REVIVER SERVICES.  ANY TERMINATION, CANCELLATION OR SUSPENSION OF THE SUBSCRIPTION WILL RENDER THE RPLATE UNABLE TO ACCESS ANY OF THE SERVICES; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THE RPLATE WILL CONTINUE TO DISPLAY THE ***** LOGO, THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER AND THE **** AND MONTH OF THE REGISTRATION FOR THE PERIOD OF THAT PARTICULAR REGISTRATION.  UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR UNDER OTHER SERVICES, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO RENEW YOUR VEHICLE REGISTRATION FOR THE APPLICABLE PERIOD REQUIRED BY ***** RULES AND REGULATIONS."

    The misleading part is "UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR UNDER OTHER SERVICES" in the below section. Could this mean with purchase of the plate? It doesn't say.

    You know there would be issues if you said in the Terms and Conditions "YOUR REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE UPDATED WITHOUT A SUBSCRIPTION AND YOUR PLATE WILL BE UNUSABLE AND NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE". I'm sure people would have second thoughts on the purchase and that's why you are not being specific.

    So no, I am not marking this as resolved until Rplate updates everyone's registration regardless if they have a plan or not. Since they did purchase the plate.

    Our VP of Operations has reached out and left 2 voicemails providing his direct phone number and email address. Attempts to have a discussion to provide additional information and/or a suitable resolution has been met with silence.

    It should be noted that the dealership at which this plate was purchased was provided with in-depth training and information that can be distributed to digital plate owners. We should not be held responsible for information not shared and/or questions not asked at the time of the transaction. 

    Also, DMV issues metal plates in the event that you no longer want to use your digital plate.

    I am rejecting this response because, as expected, your response is full of excuses and displays lack of accountability and professionalism. 

    Talk to you on the phone just to hear "DMV issues metal plates, so you can use those" What a horrible response to a person who spent quite a bit on money on your digital plate for it to be completely useless now.

    On 12/7/2023 I purchase the digital plates from Reviver. I received them about a week later and I downloaded the app and entered my vehicle information. I tried scheduling a technician appointment for plate installation. I contacted the technician provided by Reviver and the first technician said he was not available during my available time provided. Reviver then sent me three additional names of technicians and their contact information. All three technicians could not work with my schedule. At this point, it is already mid February 2024, I contacted Reviver and let them know my dilemma. Reviver then suggests that I schedule an installation through BestBuy.com I tried to schedule online and no appointments were available for my available time. I contacted Reviver and asked for a refund because getting the plates installed seems impossible. They sent me a shipping label and said a refund would be issued as soon as they receive the plates. The plates were received by Reviver on 03/27/2024 at 11:41 am. As of today, I have not received my refund back. When I contacted Reviver last week, they said that this request would have to be escalated to upper management. I don't understand why I just cant get my money back. This company has the worst customer service!

    We apologize that you encountered so many issues with scheduling an appointment to get your plate installed. Its hard when schedules cant align. You are correct that your plate was received on 03/27/2024. Our return processing takes about 10 business days and due to unforeseen circumstances, a delay was encountered. Please note that a refund was processed but future communication will be sent via Affirm since that was the payment method selected at the time of purchase.
