I have a new car warranty, that Toyota confirms is good in ****** and ****This dealership refuses to honour the warranty. This dealership refused to respond to my emails.Business Response
Date: 11/18/2024
Hello ******,
I did look into this and per upper Management you did call Toyota who explained that your car Warranty is good in ****** and the ***. But tires are not warrantied by Toyota. They are covered my the company that Manufactures them. Or if you purchased a Tire and Wheel warranty when you purchased your vehicle.
Customer Answer
Date: 11/20/2024
I am aware of the tires, and they are not my primary issue. (as stated in my complaint, this tire issue was not even mentioned).
I would appreciate the deanship staying on point instead of evasive responses.
When I was at the deanship ( ***** *******) advised me, that she had spoke to her service manager and was told that my warranted would not be honoured for any repair issue (including the tires).
When I was at the deanship, I was told I could discuss the issue further with the Service Customer Relations Manager. I have emailed the Service Customer Relations Manager ***** ****** to clarify, in total three times, before contacting BBB. She never responded to any of my emails.
The issue is unresolved until the dealership advises why it will not honour my warranty for any future warranty repairs.
I find the lack of response of the so-called Customer Relations Manager, insulting and concerned it may be related to some kind of prejudice towards me.

My vehicle came back to me in worse shape than when I dropped the vehicle off and I was mocked by the Service Manager. I brought my vehicle (2013 Prius) in for a basic service on Sept 12th. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle and everything was working properly to my knowledge. The dealership performed an inspection and identified 10 items that were in need of service. Brakes, rotors, shocks, air filters, transmission fluid, ICE and hybrid coolants, wiper blades, etc. The items seemed justified, so I approved all of the items for $2,200 and picked the vehicle up the next day. When I picked the vehicle up the ** no longer worked correctly. Hot air came out of the vents while the car was being driven. I immediately brought the vehicle back to the dealership and they took the car back the same day. After 2 weeks of going back and forth the dealership said they would not take responsibility for the ** no longer working. When I went in to pick up the vehicle, I met with ******* **** (Service Manager) and he told me that the ** blend door must have already been broken before I brought the car in. stated that many people come in and lie about issues that are happening with their vehicles. I asked him if he was accusing me of lying about the ** working properly prior to dropping off the vehicle, and he said "Did I call you a liar, no but that lots of people lie about their vehicles", essentially calling me a liar. The conversation went downhill from there where he again pulled the same type of line saying "lots of uneducated yahoo's come in and pretend to understand how vehicles operate". I asked him if he was calling me uneducated and a yahoo and he repeated "Did I call you a yahoo, no i didn't, I don't know if you are educated in vehicle operations or not", essentially calling me uneducated and a yahoo. At that point I said this conversation is over and left his office. He proceeded to mock me by laughing as he said have a great day and I will pray for you.Business Response

Hello *******,
I am contacting you in regards to your issue that happened at I-10 Toyota.
I did talk with your ASM ****** and ***** the other Customer Relations Manager.
1st I see one confusion: when ****** told you he was contacting corporate. We were contacting our ******************* have nothing to do with the ********** that you called. The number you called is for customers. When you call them they assumed you wanted to do a case and sent it to us. ***** or myself then call the customer. This is why she called you. But what you should have asked for is for their assistance in covering the part. We are sorry if you felt she was upset that you called as she was not. For this mix-up, I do apologize. ****** had not heard back from our *** so he told you we would go ahead and at least get the parts ordered to hopefully speed up the process.
As for the issue of what happened. He explained to you correctly that we had nothing to do with the black box that the A/C blend door is in. So we could not have broken it. Your vehicle is 11 years old and has 101k miles on it. This is why we recommend items so our customers can stay safe out on the road. But we will not open up areas under the hood just because.
I understand this is a vehicle you were checking out so you could give it to a family member so I believe I can assume it is a vehicle that is not driven often. But regardless things break on a vehicle and can happen at any time. In this situation, it just happened that it did it after it was here. Most likely it was happening before sticking periodically but nobody noticed.
As I said you can call Toyota back and tell them you are asking for their assistance. If you want to get this fixed either call ******,***** or myself and we will get the parts ordered for you.
I hope I have cleared up some of the misunderstandings.

I am rejecting this response because:
*****,
Nothing cleared up on my end. I brought my car to you guys for a basic service, an oil change and a tire rotation. You guys performed an inspection on the vehicle stating there were 10 items that needed service, none of which were for the ** system. I approved all 10 items and then when I got my car back, the ** no longer worked. Don't you think you guys would have recommended repairs to the ** system if there was a problem, especially when it is 115 degrees outside? There was no problem with the ** when I brought in the car, that is why it wasn't listed on your inspection report.
****** was great to work with, ***** did her job, but I noticed you failed to mention ******* ****, I wonder why?
I have never been spoken to the way he spoke to me, especially after spending over $2,200 with your establishment. Insinuating that I was a liar, uneducated, and a yahoo. Mocking me as I left his office laughing saying he will pray for me. I-10 Toyota and Toyota as a brand should be embarrassed by his actions. He should have no contact with your customers, much less even work for you guys. I now know why your service department has a 1 star rating on Yelp, ******* **** runs the department. I wish I had looked at Yelp before I brought my car to you guys.
Your service department quoted me $2,500 to repair the ** on my vehicle and stated they ran a diagnostic informing me that I needed to replace the entire ** evaporator core and case assembly. I decided to get a second opinion from another Toyota dealership and they did not come up with the same issue. The issue was a simple servo door actuator part that was repaired for $765. I believe you guys were committing fraud and trying to do additional work that was not needed. I have explained all of this to Toyota corporate as well.I will never use your establishment again and will tell everyone I know exactly how I was treated along with filing additional complaints with Toyota corporate. I am sure all of the members at ******************** will love to hear about a local business berating their clients and mocking them when there is an issue.

I bought a 2018 limited 4 runner from I-10 Toyota on 5/27/23. They told me everything has been changed fluids are new filters are new brakes are new. Truck has been inspected and everything is in top shape. 3 months later service department tells me I need shocks that cost 4600 my fluids are old recommend change all your fluids thats another 1000. Change all your filters 300 spark plugs ******. I have a list of over6,600.00 but I only had the truck for 14 months ****** miles they sell me an advantage care contract covers most of these things but they refuse to honor the contract. If I would have been told the truck had all these problems I would not have bought it.Business Response

Hello *******, I looked into everything for you and found that when you were here this last time. Everything except for the shocks is due to time and miles. ***** are suggestions for you from the manufacturer. They are not things that have to get done, it is totally up to you. As for your shocks I did check and you bought your vehicle at ***** miles. ** this time the shocks were fine so of course there was nothing we needed to do. Now that you have ****** miles on them they are leaking. As for your extended warranty, no warranty company covers wear and tear items.
When you are ready to work on your vehicle please feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to make an appt. for you.

1-10 Toyota ruined the rims on my Toyota Tundra when the replaced the tires on my truck. I have before and after pictures taken at the dealership that clearly show the damage was done after. I purchased my Rav4 from I10. About 1 year later I started having issues with the roof (roof rack and paint). I made several attempts to talk to someone about this issue and was not able to get help with the issue. I starting taking my Rav4 to Maita Toyota in **********. Again I was unable to get my issues taken care of. I am going back and forth with toyota about weather it is the roof rack or the product/paint on the roof. My Rav4 is only 4 years old, I purchased all of the extended warranties, and have kept up with all of the services needed and they were on time or before schedule. I am disappointed in Toyota and the Dealers involved. There was a recall on the roof rack that was on the roof. I took it in for the repairs. I had an issue with and took it into the dealer They took apart the headliner and roof rack thinking this was the issure and repaired it. I then had a leak into the interior which stained the head liner and they removed and repaced the head liner. During a h*** storm a few weeks ago the roof starting peeling off in sheets. I took the car to the dealer and tried again to reach out to *** I have still not talked to anyone at I10. ***** referred me to thier body shop and then I was told that Toyota will not cover this. Attached are photos of the issue and receipts for taking it in. It is very sad that you spend money on a product and take care of it and then when you have a issue with that product. The company and dealer are not helpful.Business Response

I have been in contact with the customer. She had not sent me the pictures so had to reach out to her again. Pictures were sent and received this time. I did call her on 5.16 left message letting her know that from what we see it is caused by outside influence. Meaning the soap she is using or maybe at one point someone did a acid wash and it was left on to long. Called again today 5.21.24 to make sure she heard my message and she did, explained our thoughts of what might have happened..

I am rejecting this response because: I dont feel that the company is concerned with my issue. I understand what they think happened. But that does not help the situation and or help with how to repair or fix the problem. I was told that it could possibly be the soap/ wash I use. I wash both of my vehicles in with the same product and only the Rav4 is having an issue.Business Response

I purchased a brand new 24 GR Corolla from I-10 Toyota on 1/15/24. Before I signed the purchase contract, I made it clear to the sales representative, ****, and financing manager, ******, that I live in the ******** and my vehicle's service would need to be taken care of by ******** Toyota dealers. My case involves I-10 Toyota intentionally selling me a scratched car (paint damage on the right fender and rear bumper, totaling about $2000 in value), and the financing manager purposely manipulating the details of the coverages on the Tire&Wheel warranty (about $2500 in value). On the night of the purchase, I noticed a dent on the passenger side fender and a scratch on the rear bumper. **** then took me to the service department to get an estimate. The mechanic there immediately informed us that he was already aware of the damages and could not buff them out. Hence, **** filed a claim and assured me that the Toyota in ******** would take care of it. I then drove back home and patiently waited. After that, *******, the due bill coordinator contacted me claiming that the damages occurred in their parking lot since the car had been sitting there for three months. After sending him the photos, their manager ***** offered me two final options: to either drive the vehicle back and have them repair the damage or they would cut me a $505.11 check. I took the vehicle to several auto shops in the ******** and was quoted about $2000 for the repair. I will not drive 6 hours to fix damage that was not caused by me, and the offered check doesn't cover the repair costs adequately.Additionally, the financing manager told me that the Tire&Wheel Warranty covers windshield and tire replacement for all four tires even if there's only one of them goes out. However, the warranty provider confirmed that they only repair damages, and if it's unrepairable, it would not be covered.I feel deceived twice. I demand my car's paint restoration and a refund for the misrepresented warranty credit.Business Response

Mr. *** purchased new vehicle on 1.15.24. Lives out of area so we paid $100.00 of his plane flight for him to come and buy a GR Corolla from **.
During delivery Jaihao and salesman **** noticed rear scratch and dent. Nothing was ever said about the hood. The question was brought up if he had to use his Tire and Wheel warranty that he purchased can it be used in the ********. He was told yes you can go to any Toyota Dealer. They drove to our other lot to speak with our car wash detailer, who informed him this would need to be painted. The customer was never told that this particular job would be done in the ********.
The customer drove home over 800 miles then noticed rock chips on the hood. These were not noticed nor noted on the Vehicle Delivery Sheet during delivery so not covered.
Customer did not want to drive back to dealership to have repairs done so GSM offered what it would cost us to repair vehicle here to be sent to him and he can get it fixed near him. Total $505.11 ************ is more costly then the Desert.
I did check with the Finance Manager and at no time does any warranty cover all 4 wheels when there is only an issue on one and he did explain all this in detail to customer.
At this time we are waiting for the customer to decided what he wants to do.
UpDate Customer emailed us today and said Tire and Wheel came and fixed vehicle. He will be calling Toyota to cancel warranty and we will be sending customer per his request the amount of $505.11.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
They did not even look at my complain when responding to this claim. My complain was about the repair reimbursement on the fender and bumper as well as the dishonesty when their financing manager made up warrant coverages trying to sell me the Tire & Wheel Coverage. You need to realize that I should not even use the Tire & Wheel Warranty to cover for you mistakes. I'm doing you guys a huge favor on covering the dent. However, I'm still getting incorrect information till this date. I confirmed with ***** from the T&W that if I do use this claim to cover the repair expense, I will not be able to cancel it anymore so I had to pay out of my own pocket. Their Finance Manager told me that if one of my tires goes out, the warranty will replace all four tires because it is unsafe to drive an All-Wheel-Drive vehicle off the lot with wheels with different threads. Do the math, repairing only cost from $50 up to $300 when replacing a singe wheel, There is no way I would pay $2600 for that when I can simply take the vehicle to a shop for a quick fix. In addition, the financing manager told me that the T&W warranty also replaces my windshield for free. Yet another lie from him, it only patches small crack on the windshield and if it's unrepairable, they will not cover for the replacement. For your information, the scratch on the rear is still there. The Tire & Wheel warranty never covered/helped at all in my case. Everything was paid out of my own pocket! I was actually preparing for a small claim court lawsuit against them but since ***** was kind enough to help me buffer out some of the scratches and damages, it doesn't look as obvious anymore. On 2/9/2024, I have already signed and sent an consent that I would take the $505.11 check and close this case on 2/9/24 just because I don't want to deal with this anymore. I understand that everyone else involved tried to help me with the case (though $505.11 is a nothing when comparing to ********'s labor). At this point, my main complain is about the financing manger who lied to me when selling me the warranty. I know people like him makes money on selling the packages but he should never blatantly lie to a customer's face and make things up just to get them sign the contract. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one and reaching out to those customer who posted their reviews online wouldn't be so hard for me just so that they can also be aware of these information.
I will close this case once I receive the $505.11 check.

Hello ******,
I wanted to let you know your check is on the way. It was mailed out on the 13th. We would have been happy to do the repairs here but I understand as to why it was to far for you to come. I did check and the windsheild repair is for only up to 6 inches not replacement. I will be addressing all of your Finance issues further to make sure something like this does not happen in the future. If you choose to keep the Tire and Wheel Protection, I do have a pamphlet that I can send you. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.

I phoned I-10 Toyota on May 23 to check my Prius 2012 on a check engine system light on. After it was looked at the advisor said it was a battery issue. This would cost me about 500. To fix he assumed me it was a done deal. They took the car for a test drive and found the check engine light came back on. The advisor then called and told me he was not sure what the problem was. The next day a different advisor say it's a a management computer of the car that needs to be changed, be is still not sure that the problem will be fixed, that cost almost 900. (What is going on?). where has the truth and honestly gone. Now they have my car and it feels like the Classic bait and switch scam.Business Response

****** ****** has been in contact with his service advisor. We explained that the battery did say low voltage on the 1st diagnostic test so of course this was the 1st thing to do. On the test drive the check engine light did come on and on further testing found that the computer assembly needed replacing. Cost for the part is appx. 900.00 plus diagnostic and labor. The customer ask if we could change out the battery and put the old one back in and was told no cannot do that as he did have a low voltage light on and he was told this also on his visit back in 6.1.2022. He did not replace it back then and if we took the new one out now and put the old one back in the new computer would possible not work. The Customer understands and gives us permission to order the computer which will not be here until appx. June 6th 2023.
