I received a letter from allegiant for debt consolidation. I talked to the representative on the phone and he/**** failed to properly inform me that all of my debt had to be majorly delinquent and that the creditors would not be paid for at least six months. I did not find that out until I had signed the contract and was talking to the welcome agent who informed me that all of my credit cards, which were not delinquent, had to be majorly delinquent before they even began to pay and that I could also receive a summons from the debtors. I informed, the representative that I was misinformed and I would not have signed the contract based upon the information that was being shared. They have already taken their first payment and I no longer want to continue with this program as I have been grossly misinformed about the entire process.Business Response

I was called by Rion with Alleviate Financial he was going to help me with consolidation loan of my credit cards. He rushed me thru this, when i told him I needed to go over this with my husband he advised it needed to be completed like right now. I'am 72 years old and my husband is 73 disabled due to a stroke and I handle all the finances now. I had a gut feeling this was not right. So long story short when I went in to veiw documents etc. Alleviante had deleted them !! Also deleted all emails where I had ask questions, and deleted my contract so I couldn't even go in and cancel the contract. So called my *** and he was no help at the moment but then after the date to cancel he advised me in a email that he was able to get me a copy of my contract. This whole process was set up to get me to sign these documents and then delete them so you can;'t read them and cancel then if need to. So I got only argument's when I called and ask to cancel, would not let me cancel was rude and not a person that was helpful at all. Finally I sent a telegram to Alleviate which I have not received anything on the cancellation. I would like for them to cancel my contract. and send me my refund back where they drafted my acct. This is nothing but a scam and they need to be cancelled all together as all they do is rush people thru so they can draft out of their bank accounts. They charge like ****** a month to service your acct. I'am contacting my credit card accounts and we are working out a payment plan on my own.Please help me get this cancelled and my money back as they drafted ******* out of my acct.Thanks so much ***** ********Business Response

I have been a part of Alleviate's debt consolidation and have been quite happy with the services. However, today I received a court summons. When I called Alleviate, they told me that they had no record of the account listed. I pressed this issue, and even was able to pull up the documentation from a year ago when I submitted the requested documentation to add the account to the program. I was talked through this process with a representative over a year ago. They told me even though they had messed up on their end and failed to add the account, even thought I had done everything asked of me, that I am not legally covered by them and that I need to seek an external attorney. disgusting. I am being punished for something that is not my fault and there is no accountability on Alleviate's behalf.Business Response

this so-called debt collection agency told me that I would pay fees of 25% which is a lie. These fees are more than 50% every month when I make my payment over 50% of the money that comes out is fees. This is totally ridiculous and should not be allowed by law.Business Response

my issue is not disbursements or payments made to companies on behalf of me. My issue is is that you all told me there would be a fee of 25% and you can clearly see on the attachment that I sent. The fees are more than 50%. this is literally highway robbery and I am not happy with the service you’re providing. I just noticed this had. I have noticed this sooner I would’ve made this complaint sooner, I need to speak to a member of management to explain to me this Better Business Bureau portal why I’m paying $168 worth of fees out of a $303 payment. I was contacted by *********** Financial/Alleviate Financial with an offer of debt consolidation. After being explained that I would need to stop paying all of my open accounts (none of which are delinquent), and their company would simply pay the accounts on my behalf, but without the interest, I filled out an online form while on the phone with the representative. After reading more on their business, and realizing that in order for this process to take place, all of said accounts had to go into delinquency/collections before if and any action were to be taken, and it is also worth noting they proclaim that they do not provude legal service should the need arise. This activity should not even be legal, and at best is a shameful scam. I called the representative before any money had been exchanged, or any action taken, and his demeanor quickly became condescending, and even giggled while describing my income- a ***** contrast to his demeanor on our previous call, when he "reeled me in." He began speaking over me as if I were a child while I politely stated I did not want to go forth with their "program." Eventually I had to hang up the phone, as he continued rambling, while leaving no room for any discussion. I am now receiving multiple calls per day from different phone numbers linked to the businesses named. I have not received any service or monetary assistance from these entities, and if they continue contacting me by phone, mail, or otherwise, or attempt to extract any money from me, I will gladly take swift legal action against them.Business Response

I agreed to work with alleviate solutions with the promise that they would contact my creditors for settlement. They have not contacted and single creditor for me. I have still been dealing with my creditors via phone and email. Alleviate advised me to stop making all payments and to pay only them. I have paid them for 4 months and they have done absolutely nothing. I have contacted them and asked someone to call me, but they never do. Transaction with Alleviate Financial Solutions LLC on July 29, 2024 I am acting within the 3-day cancellation agreement period with Alleviate Financial Solutions LLC (AFS) and today have mailed by *** a Notice of Cancellation to the address on said notice: ******************************************, guaranteed to arrive at this address on August 1 by 10:00 a.m. After a phone discussion with 3 individuals at SelfDebt (which appears to be funneling customers/leads to AFS), I was led to understand, verbally, that I could get a more favorable interest rate on my credit card debt. However, upon receiving the written service agreement, the risks and costs are heavily weighted towards me, the customer, with no actual guarantee, plus the potential for additional legal costs-- an undisclosed amount per hour where I would be liable. I was told verbally that my ONLY payment going forward would be to the credit card company, and the that savings would accrue to me, but according the exhibit provided by Alleviate Financial Solutions,, I would also be paying them.Given the discrepancies between the verbal pronouncements and the agreement, I am concerned that I will be debited regardless of my cancellation. I need someone from this company to help me. I have been with Alleviate for over a year. I was told a few months ago I was approved for the accelerator loan. My remaining settlements to be paid off was $13,168. The accelerator loan I was approved for was for $19,800. I talked with an advisor from Alleviate and told them my concern with the loan being that much and they consistently and repeatedly told me that they will not use the full amount and the remaining will be sent back to the loan company. After being reassured and verbally promised, I moved forward with the loan to pay off all the debt. Now I am still showing I owe the full $19,800 with an *****% APR and no one will help me. I have talked to over 10 different people and departments and the only thing people keep telling me is that if I didn't want a $19,000 loan then I shouldn't have signed. I am sick over this because I am going to be paying double then what I would have paid if I did not decide to do debt settlement in the first place. I need someone from this company to give the loan company back the $6,000 because I am drowning over here and have been so stressed out about money and no one is helping me. I do not know what else to do. I am just begging someone from this company to help me. I have been lied to this entire time and transferred from one department to another and no one knows anything somehow. No one will contact me about this and they refuse to help.
