Disruptive unreasonable conduct for entire duration of service from employees. Aggressive comments were made through accrual of the testing process. Harrassment inferences with no regard for my rights from 4 or 5 employees and persons with in the room.I was not able to complete any of the material I needed to complete licensing on a time sensitive policy.Business response

Hi there. It appears that this complaint is related to the behavior of staff at a local DMV office. DMV.ORG is a website that is not affiliated with any particular state DMV. We provide information about motor vehicle associations across the country. We are purely an informational website. I am sorry you had a difficult experience at your local DMV.Customer response

This website poses as the official website for ca dmv . Even though it has a disclaimer on the web site the .org address is an intent to mislead. It pays to pop up in first placement. Also there is no option to cancel when you realize it was a mistake. There is no phone number to reach and they want your credit card number to provide on line chat support. They are a fraud and the mislead.Business response

Hi there. DMV.ORG very explicitly states that it is not affiliated with any particular state DMV. We provide information about motor vehicle associations across the country. We do not use paid search ("pays to pop up in first placement"). Regarding canceling or credit cards, we are purely an informational website. There is nowhere on the site to enter credit card information or make any type of purchase.Initial Complaint

I went online to get a replacement drivers license for my husband because his wallet was stolen. I thought I was on an official government website to get a replacement. On the site were phone numbers you can contact the state office and when I tried calling the ******** office no one answered, so I then proceeded to "apply online" instead. After filling out personal information such as driver's license number, name, credit card information for payment, I received a receipt indicating that my order has been completed. I was charged $7.00. On the receipt it said, "your permanent card may take up to 6-8 weeks to arrive in the mail". I did not see any notices prior to ordering duplicate that it will take that long, for I would have gone to the ******** office directly to get replacement. So, I went back to the home page of the DMV.org website to see if I could call someone to cancel my order and found out that it was not an official government site and no phone number to contact anyone. I am in frantic that all my personal information was giving to an unofficial government website. I want my refund and all my information not to be given to a third party and deleted from their data.Business response

DMV.ORG is an informational website, not officially associated with any state department of motor vehicles. There are no services offered for purchase on our website: Only information. It appears that this customer may have clicked on an advertisement on our site and then purchased a product on a different website. We have no record of her visit, nor do we collect or store SSN, credit card, or other personally identifiable information on our site.
