Auction.com has the potential to get a decent deal on real estate......sure. i've bought 1 property on their platform. but read below.will it have a clean warranty deed? no, but you might get a special warranty deed if you pay extra. will you be able to inspect it in person and see if any major issues exist? Nope usually not.will you be able to check major systems (i.e. electrical, plumbing, etc...)? nope usually not.if the property is occupied what happens? well 98% of the time you become the host to some low life people who refuse to leave and have to legally evict them in court (which takes a LONG time, plus expense)BUT here is where it gets me............ THEY ALLOW THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY TO BID THEIR OWN ITEMS UP. so when you get outbid............was it a REAL bidder? or just auction.com allowing shill bidding?! the answer as of recently is go on the website (not the app) go to the property you're bidding on, and click bid history, and now it will disclose if it's the seller bidding against you. i've been in the auction industry for almost 30 years. i'm not sure when shill bidding became "ok". if you want to protect the interest of the seller... you should simply set a reserve. But it sure doesn't say "do business with us!" to me.

I recently purchased a home in **** and later found out I was unable to purchase it due to missing paperwork. The next week the property was appraised for $37000 and then it was demolished. I was shocked and wondering how this can happen.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is contracted to market distressed properties for banks and foreclosure firms. Unfortunately, sometimes distressed properties are removed form the sales process by the bank for a variety of reasons. Auction.com is not typically made aware of any reasons for removal, as that is part of the sales contract. This is a rare circumstance, but the risk is explained fully on the Auction.com website, and listed as part of the signed sales agreement. Auction.com apologizes for the inconvenience, and wish you much success in future real estate investments. If you have any questions, you may also contact the customer service team at **************.

There is a house on your website that is in the hands of lawyers working directly with the mortgage company and we demand to know how you came to advertise it on your website as you are breaking the law

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After review, it doesn't look like you have reached out directly to Auction.com about this. There is also no additional information provided by you to determine the status of any property. Auction.com is hired by foreclosure firms and mortgage holders to market distressed properties. Any direction would come from those foreclosure firms or mortgage holders. Please reach out directly to them, and when the status of the property changes, they will direct Auction.com on next steps. You may also reach out directly to Auction.com customer service at ************** with specific property information, so we can better help you.

This Business advertised my and Mother's home for Auction and it's still pending in the courts! I am fighting this case and they have no right to invade my personal privacy. This has caused me worry, pain and stress! This is an insult and embarrassment to me! What I don't want is my personal business leaked out to my Family and Neighbors about my Mother's home being posted for Auction by this Business! This is very evil and dirty business practices! I contacted Auction.com via E-Mail days ago and have not got a response! I would like to have this ad removed from our home until further notice! I am reporting to remove this unfair Advertisement from my Home!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Auction.com is contracted with the Foreclosure firms and banks to market distressed properties. It is certainly unfortunate these circumstances arrive. Please contact the foreclosure firm handling your case for proper resolution. The firm can direct Auction.com to remove any marketing associated with a property. After account review it appears you have saved and favorited several different foreclosure homes on Auction.com for bidding or purchase. If you have specific questions about the process, please contact our customer service team at **************.

First I believe that auction sites can bring value to both buyer and seller. Auction.com brings no value I purchased my first 22 homes via the traditional method. Tried Auction.com on the most recent purchase they are awful. Any issues are the fault of someone else, customer service does answer the phone, however the script is always the samesome else is wrong. The software is remedial at bestI gave 1 start only because zero was not available..In my one time experience Auction.com is a parasite sucking good money from both buyer and seller to line their own pockets. Theres no fair service for a fair price here!!!If you use them after reading this Buyer and Seller beware!!

Thank you for your feedback. Auction.com is the nation's largest marketing platform of distressed properties for purchase. There are times that those distressed properties may have secondary liens. Auction.com always stresses the need for anyone looking to purchase properties at auction to perform their due diligence. It appears your purchase had an HOA Lien and some other City issues needing resolved. That added some time to the normal purchase process. It also appears that there were issues with documentation that was needed that also delayed the process. Auction.com is always available to answer questions on what is needed prior to an interested bidder deciding to purchase. It appears there were also concessions requested that further delayed the process by needing seller review. It appears your sale closed successfully. It is unfortunate that the normal timely process had some delays, but Auction.com wishes you much success with your purchase.

Auction.com is unfairly investor-driven...It's too bad that the rich only want to get richer by taking from the poor. What I have found is Auction.com in cahoots with ***************** and Trustees, list their starting bid on AS-IS OCCUPIED PROPERTIES at the FAIR MARKET VALUE on properties in urban areas so they can rehab, flip, and resale or rent. When no one shows up the Trustee makes the banks believe the original auction was CANCELED, and turn around and list the same property again for at least 75%-80% less or at the value of what an AS-IS OCCUPIED PROPERTY should have been listed for in the first place. But then it's opened to the public. So now the first-time homebuyer, the first-lookers, or small investors are out of the picture and get out-bided by $10k-$15k, The investor forces the tenant out to remodel the property, and the tenant is homeless if they are not prepared to move--and the Dish ran away with the Spoon : ( !!!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Unfortunately, much of what is claimed is simply not how auctions work with either Foreclosed or Bank Owned (REO) properties. Auction.com is by far the nation's largest marketing platform for distressed properties. Auction.com provides a link between home buyers and the financial institutions needing to market properties. For a full and educational ****** in how auctions and the process of purchasing a distressed property works, please visit our website, or call our customer service at ************** for answers to any questions you may have.

Wish it could be a negative star. Very shady and sketch business. They bid against themselves to raise the price vs allowing the highest bid that is not Auction.com win. Horrible

Thank you for the feedback. Auction.com is the largest online marketing platform for distressed properties. We apologize that the auction process of counterbidding was confusing for you. Our website explains the process, and our customer service team is available from 7am to 7pm ** to answer any questions you may have. Basically, the process is well established, and occurs when Auction.com bids on behalf of the seller when the other bids were well below a reasonable and acceptable range. In either a foreclosure or bank owned auction, there is a minimum price the seller needs in order to cover the debt on the house. A highest bid may not be close to what a seller needs. For example, a high bid of $100 on an asset that has $10,000 of debt, would not win the auction. If that is the case, counterbidding occurs to bring the bidding into a range closer to what is acceptable to the seller. If an asset does not sell, it will typically go back to auction at a later date. We hope this clarifies the confusion on how counterbidding works. If you have further questions, our team is happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for the feedback. Auction.com is the largest online marketing platform of distressed properties. Our website and customer service team are available to answer any questions you may have. Our website and customer service team always strongly encourages buyers to perform due diligence to be sure the assets they are bidding on are in an acceptable condition prior to bidding and winning at auction. A review of the thousands of assets on our easily searchable website shows houses in a wide variety of conditions. This allows buyers to invest as they see fit to best match their interests and abilities. Auction.com is here to support buyers throughout the process. We want buyers to be successful, and not win several assets and not close on any. If you have any questions about finding assets, please contact our customer service team from 7am to 7pm **, Monday through Friday.
